I’ve been here before for a baby shower but decided to come back for lunch this past weekend. The service was good, no complaints, everyone was attentive. I ordered the seafood salad which was refreshing for lunch. It had shrimp, calamari, scallops, clams on a bed of romaine lettuce. Like I said it was refreshing but I feel like it needed more flavor or spice. It had a slight lemon sauce drizzle to it and they also topped it with the same tomatoes they use for the bread they give you in the beginning. My daughter was happy with her pasta(forgot the name). The Tiramisu was excellent on the other hand.

My new Miami brunch favorite in Coconut Grove. Living in the Grove, I like to frequent local restaurants yet hadn’t tried Calamari’s brunch until today and was very impressed by the selection, quality and service. There was seafood, a carving station, waffles, made to order omelettes, huge dessert table and so much more. The service and overall hospitality made our Sunday brunch perfect and the mimosa made it even better — don’t know how anyone couldn’t enjoy this The quality of everything was very good and I’ll make sure we take all of our houseguests here!

The hostess needs to be retrained on how to greet clients. The food did not have a good presentation and it seems little effort was put in by the cooks. The only reason I am giving them two stars is because the waiter was excellent.

The hostess is completely lifeless. You can tell she does not like her job. The place is beautiful. The food was not high quality. The cooks do not put any effort behind the dishes. Very plain presentation and taste. If you want a better option from the same owners, go to Villagio. Villagio is awesome.

I’ve been to this restaurant in regular night and both the food and service are amazing! Definitely 5 star rating. Review for Mother’s Day brunch: 4 stars Service was good. Our server was Jose, he was available for most requests(we were a large party) and when he wasn’t around, the other waiters pitched in. Everyone was helpful of each others tables. The cost for today’s brunch was about $ 52 with gratuity for all you can eat buffet and mimosas. Not a bad deal. I don’t love buffet style(mainly bc I get grossed out of other people hanging out by my food) but also because I worked in hospitality industry for many years, and I can appreciate small well put together meals over large quantities of stuff, I don’t even eat that much anyway. Positives: omelette station was a hit, and so was waffle station. Cost was competitive(cheaper than most locations) Valet parking was offered at affordable cost. Putting my feeling about buffet style aside, her are the reasons why I didn’t love it: — crab cracker not placed in buffet next to crab legs –sauces missing for certain items such as shrimp(no cocktail sauce) –again, no hot sauce for clam and other sea foods –SINGLE buffet lines. This is beyond me, considering how many people were at the restaurant, they could have laid out the tables way better. –no proper signage for meat station(most people didn’t know there was one. –desserts lacked taste(I am a dessert person, and not one stood out). –coffee was not offered, had to ask Overall, I don’t think I will be returning during a holiday. I really do love this restaurant, will return on regular night.

I ate at this restaurant last Saturday night with a big group. The food was good; I have to give credit where credit is due. Many in the party had a lot of good things to say about the food. Unfortunately the wait staff that night was deplorably inept. From the point we sat down and tried to order, the staff would make us wait ridiculously long just to place an order. When it came time for the bill, we politely asked for it to be split. The waiter became quite terse and rude with us and told us we would have to split it ourselves or wait another 20 – 30 min. The restaurant was empty at this time, by the way. We ended up using our pizza to go box as scratch paper to figure out bill. When we explained it to the waiter, he rudely made smug comments and asked if he could use our pizza box in a joking way. We were all offended and shocked by his attitude. When we asked to see the manager, he came back and said he was the manager. After figuring out the bill and paying, we promptly left and were embarrassed about the experience since we had many people visiting from out of town in our party. It is a shame that this restaurant, which has amazing food, gets bad reviews because of such horrible service.

I would give zero stars if I could! Our waiter took forever and when asked to speak to the manager he said he was the manager. On top of all he wanted to charge me 20% tip. This restaurant needs to get their staff in order.

This place was really good. Authentic Italian fare with a really good wine list(thank you bottega). We started with the burratta which is fantastic, my kids had the pasta e fagioli soup(just OK) and the fettuccini Alfredo(better than most). I had the leg of lamb on saffron risotto which was out of this world and my wife had the lasagna which was authentic and above average(but maybe that’s because I tried the lamb first). For dessert we shared the chocolate soufflé, which is really a molten chocolate cake with ice cream. It was good. I’m going back and try other things but really good overall.

If I could give no stars I would. Easter brunch for 43 per person… fair price …15 minute wait to get table with reservation for 230 searing. 15 minutes wait in seafood line… raw prime rib… no more lamb at all… all the food on hot line was cold, undercooked and under seasoned. They charged us for 2 Shirley temples for kids when one was 17 and all she drank despite being charged for unlimited mimosa price was one soda.

Went this morning for Easter brunch. They had pretty much everything your taste buds could ask for! There was an omelette and a waffle station as well as an array of vegetables, seafood, hot foods, carving station, you name it! Everything I tried was fresh and delicious. Servers were all friendly and kept our mimosa glasses filled! A great deal for $ 43 pp.

Wow! What an excellent experience. Our server Billy and the staff did an awesome job taking care of my guest. The Sunday Buffet was excellent, All types of fruits, hot plates like chicken, roast beef, salmon, everything you can imagine. The outside was perfect we had our own privates area. I highly recommend it for big parties. We all enjoy the day sitting outside drinking Mimosas and eating away. Already thinking about our next event. Thank for the great Service!!!

Very nice place. The food was very good and the service was excellent to match, one of the pricier places in the grove but that still isn’t too bad. The Calamari Fritti e Zucchini was a delicious appetizer to start off with, I highly recommend this place to anyone going on a date.

4.5 Stars is what I would really rate this establishment. Lets make this clear, Calamari is situated right in between La Dolce Vita Bar(part of the restaurant) and Bottega Enteneco(Wine Shop also somehow part of the restaurant). Calamari offers both inside and outside seating. The inside is very nice and classy. The outside patio is beautiful in the evening, set in a garden type area with lots of lights and a fountain. Came here about three years ago and the Lobster Ravioli ruined pasta for me, forever. I could taste the freshness in the pasta and I had realized that, whatever idea I had of pasta, was garbage! Fast forward 3 years, I had the Linguine del Selvaggio. Did not have that same fresh handmade a few minutes ago-pasta taste but was delicious none the less. Tasted my husband’s Scampi di Scampi and that was delicious as well. Not sure which one I liked more to be honest, both were really good. Ordered the fried calamari and zucchini appetizer. Highly seasoned, in a good way, and perfectly cooked. Chocolate soufflé and cappuccinos were our choice for dessert, both very good. The soufflé had a freshly baked crisp interior with a beautiful molten center.(See pictures). Our waiter was alright, not great, not bad. But it seemed like his work was just to take our order. The busgirl was also our food runner and provided far more attentive service. Overall, a beautiful place with good food and more than decent service. Not overly expensive for the area or portion sizes either. Will hopefully return in less than 3 years!
