Love this shop, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Really diverse selection at even more appealing price points. Any type of drinker will find that their needs are more than adequately met here. I make it a point to stop in whenever I’m in the area. Now that they fill growlers, there are even more options. This is a great spot that lives up to the hype.

The selection might be great, but the customer service leaves something to be desired! Fifteen minutes before the scheduled closing time, I called the store to let them know I was just about fifteen minutes away, and to ask if they would wait to close the store until I got there. The man on the phone assured me he would wait until I arrived. I arrived right at closing time, and the doors were locked. When I knocked on the door, the man came to the door and refused to open it. I wish he would have just told me that on the phone, instead of misleading me that he would keep the store open. I wasted time and gas, where as I could have just gone to another store.

This is hands down my favorite liquor store in the Baltimore area. They have a great selection of beers and the staff is super helpful and knowledgable.
When I first moved to Baltimore from California back in ’09, I e-​mailed these guys to see if they had any of my favorite California beers (Bear Republic, Lagunitas, Anderson Valley, etc). Chris wrote me a super helpful and thoughtful reply right away that made me excited and hopeful about moving out here.
My only complaint is that it isn’t in the city, but I guess you can’t have it all.

It seems like there are only a handful of people who work here, regularly, so they always recognize you (or if they don’t, they act like it, which is fine with me). They are very nice and always helpful. The place is big enough that you won’t feel like you need to rush around, or get out of everyone’s way. It’s big, and very well stocked, so I guess they just have a nice set up where everything is accessible and you can take your time if you need to!

These guys definitely know what they’re doing! If you are a fan of whiskey and/​or wine, this is the place to go to get it. They have one of the more diverse selections in the area when it comes to whiskey.
From time to time, they will have liquor tastings in the store (from what I’ve noticed it’s mostly been on the weekends).
It’s clean, friendly, and full of variety. If you haven’t been here yet, you should check it out!

Shawan liquors does one thing right with me, aging their single bottles and bombers of beer is awesome! Undoubtedly one of the perks with shopping here. Though their selection is better than most they are not the largest beer selection in the Baltimore area, however for Cockeysville their the best.
As with with their beer selection it is a lot cheaper than a lot of places locally.
There is equally great selection of wine and a few aisles of whiskey’s, gin’s, Vodka’s and pretty much everything in between.

Amazing selection of beer (domestic, imports, specialties, etc.) and wines. The staff there is extremely friendly and helpful, I have asked for wine recommendations on several occasions and they never done me wrong.

I literally found this place by accident a couple of months ago and have been going here ever since.
An inviting atmosphere, friendly employees and well stocked store make this one of my few select stores for beer on the way home.
Usually when I stop by a liquor store, I rush in, grab what I want, then dash out.
However, this is the type of place that you will find enjoyable to browse for a bit and check out the vast selection.
A very impressive selection of craft, micros and imports for almost every taste. I rarely drink wine or hard liquor, but they seem to have an amazing selection of those as well.
