I’ve eaten here several times, and everything is just way too sweet. Very expensive for the amount of food you receive as well.

Great asian fusion spot. Service was refreshingly pleasant. Went with the sesame beef and was not disappointed. Nice salty green beans.

I just wanted to comment about the great customer service experience I had here. I wasn’t expecting much. Just placed an order online and and went in to pick up my lunch. The man working the take out counter was one of the nicest and considerate people I’ve met. You could tell he was going out of his way to make an effort to make sure I had everything I needed and wanted to make my experience with the restaurant as pleasant as possible. It really made my day to see someone care that much about his customer.

The food was underwhelming to say the very least. I had Shrimp Pad Thai which wasn’t bad and both my kids had Lo Mein. Let’s just say the spaghetti noodles they used were under cooked and a tad dry. It looks like the chicken/shrimp and veggies are cooked with the sauce and put on top of the noodles. There’s no mixing of sauce/veggies/noodles etc. Sushi was ok nothing to write home about. Hubbs said his sesame chicken and fried rice was good. Not horrible for a wanna be noodles and company styled Chinese place

I was really excited to get some food but was thoroughly disappointed this evening. The sweet & sour chicken that I received was burnt, not blackened, but it had a fuel taste to it as though the gas they use for the wok fires got on the chicken. The rice was decent for basic steamed rice. I will be here for two weeks and won’t be going back.

Bring a towel! I went yesterday and there was not a clean table in the place. I used napkins to clean up a spill at the table that looked the least nasty, and they went from soaking up the substance to sticking to another substance. In addition, only one register was working and that was manned be the one finger, hunt and pecker. I ordered the Kung Po Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Thai Lettuce Wraps. Both rolls were the closest thing to what an Asian 7 – 11 might serve. They were almost frozen and the rice was crunchy. The chicken for the lettuce wraps was nicely spiced but hardly recognizable as chicken. It did come with enough lettuce to take home and make a salad. Unless there is not another place to eat for miles, I wouldn’t waste time coming here.

What exactly does«Pei Wei» mean in Chinese? We decided to try this place after deciding to have lunch at this strip mall, on the way home from the DC area, and looking at our choices. I thought the fast casual format for Asian fusion food was a nice surprise. It made ordering and seating a breeze. The menu looks complicated but you basically pick one choice of meat and one choice of cooking style. I haven’t explored all the other choices of appetizers and side items yet because I thought just the one main item was quite enough. After ordering, it didn’t take long for the food to be delivered. The fellow delivering the food was a very nice guy. Given that the parent company of this chain is PF Chang, I didn’t expect any authenticity at all but I thought the Dan Dan Chicken wasn’t bad. Only thing I would gripe about is the entrée price was a tad high for what I got. One nice touch is they have two Coke Freestyle machines, which greatly reduces the time spent waiting behind someone who can’t decide what to get. Anyway, I’d definitely return to try some of the other main entrée combinations. I might try a Pei Wei location closer to home though.

I like this place. Was thinking it was just a fast food Chinese chain comparable to Panda Express but has a fast and fresh approach that’s a step above that. Food was good and service was great. The server who dropped off my food even stopped by to see how everything was, which again you don’t get at fast food places

I love the Pei Wei in Columbia, MD and this one is half as good. Sushi is dry and pre made, nothing fresh about it. The chicken in my dish was so chewy, definitely not the same quality I’m used to. Won’t be stopping here again :(

Our food was just okay. Nothing special. The chicken was way to crispy and tough to chew. The teriyaki sauce was way too salty. I left with my mouth almost burning from the saltiness. All in all it was an average to slightly below average meal. On the bright side, The sushi was the best part. They have a very limited sushi menu(4 items).

My wife and I have been going here for a while now and every time we’ve come we’ve enjoyed it. Most recently we’ve been getting a few appetizers and then picking a main entrée to share. Our latest visit we had an order of spicy tuna rolls, crunchy teriyaki rolls, pork egg rolls, hit and sour soup and the chicken Thai dynamite with white rice. The sushi was good. Rice was cooked just right for sushi. The flavor of the rolls were good and tastes fresh. The pork egg rolls are always a treat and I love the hot mustard dipping sauce. The hot and sour is one of my favorite soups to get. It’s hearty and loaded with chunks of tofu which help make this a full bodied soup. The chicken Thai dynamite was wonderful. The chicken chunks are tender and savory. The sauce wasn’t too spicy and had a sweet aftertaste. The scallions, carrots and bell peppers give the dish some texture and a nice crunch. The crunch definitely makes me know the veggies used are fresh. The place isn’t too big or small which gives it a cozy feeling. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you like Chinese food that isn’t your typical dine in or carryout, give this place a try! Thank you for reading my review. This review is based off of my personal experience and opinion.

The food isn’t anything to write home about. The way it works is you order your meal based on a combination of items. Portions aren’t too big, but neither are the prices. They give you a number on a table stand(be sure to grab it, they gave my number to the person behind before I realized I was supposed to have taken it). Self serve drinks. The restaurant is quite clean as are the bathrooms. Nothing really compelling about coming back here though.

This place is awful. Just terrible except for the nice guy that delivers your food. I don’t even know what I am eating. Its all fried chunks of whatever. I order a chicken and tofu Kung Pao with extra veggies. There are these thin super fried strips that I think are tofu? Also, these little rocks of what might be chicken fried with this nasty coating. Beyond bad… how people eat here is just a mystery.

We decide to eat dinner at Pei Wei on Saturday night before we went into Baltimore city for my birthday celebration. No line so we ordered right away. I ordered the small plate of Mongolian steak and each of us ordered a sushi roll to share. We didn’t all receive our food at the same time so that was a little strange but they were only minutes apart from each other. The Mongolian steak had good flavor. It was a bit more salty then I like but that didn’t stop me from eating the whole thing. The sushi was nothing to brag about. You could tell it was not made when you ordered it but probably made earlier that day and stored in a fridge or cooler. The rice was on the harder side. The tuna still tasted fresh and they gave you a side of spicy mayo and soy sauce. The prices are very affordable and the location is great, plenty of parking. As we were leaving we weren’t sure if we had to bus our own table of if they came around for you. I would eat here again but skip the sushi.

I’m a big Pei Wei fan, and I typically frequent the York Road location on the Baltimore city/county line. I was excited to see a new location, because other than Towson the other Pei Wei was way out in Columbia. Quite the distance between two locations. I visited to have dinner the other day and was excited to see new menu options. Pei Wei as a business does a nice job keeping the menu fresh. This time they featured ginger flavored edamame. It was very good. They had the multi flavored super soda machine that I affectionately call«Optimus-Sodium.» The signature dish I ordered(sesame chicken with brown rice) was great as usual. The new Pei Wei is larger than most, with a combination of 2-person booths, 4-person booths, and floating tables. There is a lot more seating space here than at the other locations. Also, this is the only Pei Wei located in a mall. The Hunt Valley Town Center has experienced a boost with expanded retail space and some new brands/shops. For me, this makes it the best Pei Wei in the state. The service was prompt and courteous. The pricing was reasonable. The food was exciting, fast, and flavorful. I encourage you to try Pei Wei if you haven’t already. For them to improve the rating I gave them, I really can’t justify a 5-Star rating for any fast food joint. It’s kind of a personal standard. But it’s still the best that fast food can be.

Pei Wei is great. I’ve been here twice now — once for take out and once to dine in. Think Noodles & Company, but asian. It’s owned by PF Chang’s, so the food is a more casual version of their stuff — they even have the famous lettuce wraps! At Pei Wei, you can order any flavor with any meat(or veggies OR tofu). Want orange peel pork? Do it. Pork and broccoli? Sweet and sour beef? It’s all available. Service is akin to the above-mentioned Noodles & Company — you order and then take a card and sit down and they bring it to you in a few minutes. The food is good, and with so many options, it’s hard to pick, sometimes! They also have one of those nifty new Coke machines! Service is excellent! Everybody there is very friendly(even as soon as they open on a Sunday morning). Another reviewer compared this place, unfavorably, to Jesse Wong’s Kitchen. These places are apples and oranges. One is a semi-independent full-service restaurant, and the other is a chain that serves fast casual food. If you want decent service, good food and to save on time and money, come here. If you want full-service and really great food, go to JWK. It’s pretty simple.
