I would like yo give this place zero stars. Owners are not professionals. Poor supervision, bad staff. How bad the place could be when the owners have to right a review themselves just because noone else bothered to.

The owners don’t know what they’re doing. Be prepared for conflicting information, uneven policies, poor supervision for the kids, no action to protect kids from bullying, and temper tantrums from the«adults» that pretend to run the place. This morning, my husband brought my daughters over to KK ready to go on the field trip to Hershey Park and he was screamed at by one of the owners right in the lobby in front of other kids and parents. My children were singled out and labeled as «a problem» because they were on a previous, poorly-supervised field trip(to Dave & Buster’s where the mostly teenaged«counselors» spent more time playing games and socializing than taking responsibility for kids) they got separated from the group. They went on another field trip since then, to the Science Center, and didn’t have any problems. I guess I should be glad that this day isn’t going to end with my kids lost in Pennsylvania and the owners of Kim’s Karate trying to shift the blame. Previous to this, my older daughter had been taking Tae Kwon Do lessons there for about 2 years. We’ve made multiple requests for them to order new sparring pads and weapons for her training. They’ve told us it’s best to order things through them, but it doesn’t seem better when they’re clearly so disorganized they don’t even complete the orders. We also reported a bullying problem to them in May, a senior brown belt boy had threatened and intimidated my blue belt daughter on multiple occasions, culminating in him physically attacking her(not at Kim’s Karate). We were told this boy would be encouraged to apologize to her and placed on probation, where his belt would be taken away and he would not be able to test for black belt. He never apologized and was able to test for his black belt less than one month after the incident. I would give them less than one star in this review if I could. Be warned, you do not want your child to attend this facility!

Love this place(both After School and Karate). They have helped a great deal with my daughter’s transition to a new school and state. I had a awful experience with Play Center within her school and they told us to start right away. They work with the parents and treat your child like their own. They have AWESOME hrs and they have helped my daughter love Karate. I am excited about their expansion and I am sure the children there will love it. She is learning discipline and more. I would say more, but you can see for yourself.
