I don’t know what’s happening with this business. They made great bread and I stopped by the odd side door access while they worked on a shop around the corner. But in late fall they weren’t open any more (too bad! they missed the food holidays!). I see some info saying the bakery is open now, but a restaurant, too. But they never answer the phone! and I’m not so close that I’d plan a visit without knowing what’s up.
They seem to have a Facebook page, but I’m not on Facebook so can’t see it. Hey, folks, if you read this, you can make your page visible to everyone — even the few of us not on Facebook. Lots of businesses do this. Looking forward to more info so I can visit again and tell everyone how great the food is… give us a chance to help you!

Oakland, CA
This is the talk of the town. The door to the bakery is on First street. The bread is so good. I come from Oakland, where there are some very good bakeries… but I think the Trading Post is better than any of those. The sour country loaf is my favorite. But everyone is talking about the fruit bread. I also their their dill carrots… so good. I hear the pickled beets are great too.
