Came here to get a Brazilian wax for the first time ever and I don’t think I could of had a better experience. Cassie was so nice! It wasn’t awkward at all highly recommend this place. First timers get 50% off!

Clean and accommodating. They use hard wax here so it is less irritating. Tips are optional. You can also book online –which is quite convenient.

Are you looking for a comfortable, clean, and *mostly* pain-​free waxing experience? This place became my mainstay for waxing after a less-​than-​awesome experience at another waxing-​specific establishment in Des Moines. I was always able to book online and the process was very easy.
Who should you see for your wax? Kayli is awesome. She is very professional, friendly, and clearly enjoys her work. She was willing to chat and always remembered me, so it was always like picking up the conversation where we left off at my last appointment. Her attention to detail is impeccable and she responds nicely to feedback (re: wax temperature, etc.).

If you are looking to get a complete Brazilian wax or just your butt waxed — Waxing the City is the place to go!
The staff are so damn friendly! The service and sessions go as seamless and «natural» as they can go with the aestheticians applying product in your «private areas.»
I don’t know any place in Des Moines area that offers Brazilian waxes for men other than Waxing the City.
Also, the prices are VERY, VERY reasonable. If you want to get your butt waxed (cheeks and crack), it’s a total of $ 40! That’s super inexpensive when you compare other salons that only offer women the service.
I can’t reiterate how professional the women are at the salon. They’ve never made me feel like a creeper or weirdo for wanting a smooth butt. They are always welcoming and are willing to participate in conversations if you engage them (although, I try to let them focus and do their thing). I’ve been here twice.
Seriously, you won’t be let down by this place. I will definitely be a regular male client: D

I’m one of those guys that has to shave a small but noticeable unibrow as much as my beard. Someone finally convinced me to just wax it once a month. Took 15 minutes, affordable, convenient, and best of all it didn’t hurt a bit. These ladies do great work.
