I have been coming to this location for several years from Long Island, N.Y. It was recently bought over by new owners and they have transformed the orchard into something phenomenal. They have added many new features to the location including an apple slingshot and a hay maze for children. The owners last name is still Minard though! The orchard is always packed with pickers. The price is around $ 20.00 for a bag that you pick yourself. There is a tractor that picks you up and brings you into the orchard where you can pick your own apples. They have a vast variety of different selections you can choose from. This is a great place to bring your family and have some fun in the country! *****

Amazing apple cider donuts and very reasonably priced. Get here early though because this place gets packed on nice fall weekends.

This is a great apple orchard for picking your own apples. The have a nice John Deer tractor ride around the orchard, and the views of the mountains are wonderful. I stuffed my face with may varieties of apples picked from the trees and filled my bags and brought them back to pay for them and the woman at the counter gave me a round about price I could deal with. They also had fresh donuts that were a must and they were divine. I think they could have used more seating though, because the only place to enjoy my apples were on like one outdoor bench that the bees were sitting at.

This was the first time I’ve ever gone apple picking. I had no idea how it worked. Do we pay per person and pick an unlimited amount? That’s what i thought. Turns out you pay per pound. So we pull up and the place is a large barn filled with all kinds of goodies. There was different flavored honey, jam, bacon, pumpkins, peanut brittle, apple cider, donuts, fudge, peaches, land so much more. I wanted to purchase more than just the apples but it was cash only. Boo! One star less. To get to the apple orchard you need to hitch a ride on a wagon pulled by a tracker. It was slow but pleasant. Along the way we got so close to the apple trees i could have started picking right then and there. When we arrived we were informed of where we can go to pick certain apples. The trees are labels also. There were red delicious, Fuji, rome, empire, and golden apples. I filled my bag to capacity without breaking the bag. While picking apples we sampled the produce. I kept asking if that was really OK because wasn’t it stealing? Anyway, i stuffed myself with apples but still had enough room for freshly baked donuts made from apple cidar along with hot cider. This place is also great because thre were picnic tables available for lunch after you’ve picked yourself silly. There were lots of bees buzzing around but I don’t mind them because they’re dying. So overall I had a great time and I don’t know why I’ve never done it before.

Cute place. You take a hay ride to the orchard and you can pick various kinds of apples. It was 20 bucks for a full bag, 10 for a half. It sounded steep at first until I realized how many apples I could fit into a bag! The store sells tons of different apple products as well as Oscar’s products(MMMMMMM). A good experience.

Minard Farms is a great pick your own farm. Or– bag some from the bins in their farm store. A tractor ride takes you into the orchard to pick your own and returns you to the stand to pay and maybe pick up some homemade pies, apple cider, apple cider donuts, coffee and an assortment of treats. The employees have always been quick and friendly. Look for the huge red apple shaped balloon over the farm. Just a few minutes from the thruway exit. Worth the drive.
