My mother rented the unit the latter part of 2011. The customer service rep Felicia was very nice and professional when she set up the account for the rental. My mom had the smallest unit, and usuall y Public Storage would only charge you a $ 1 for the first month’s rent. What turned us away from Public storage and made us not do business with them is around mid-2012, this location experienced a break-in. The burglars broke into the storage units through the roof. So Public Storage employees were notifying customers to come to the location to check out their rental units to see if they are missing any of their belongings. The only thing that we were missing was a moving cart/dolly. And the storage employees found that in the hallway. The burglars were using the cart to move heavier items. Public Storage turned our cart over to PG County Police. After a year or so, we never received the cart back. We paid over $ 75 for that cart. Unfortunately, our insurance lasped on our rental unit. When we called to see if the police officer handling the case dropped the cart off back at the location, one of the employees got salty with mom when she asked about it. After that experience, we stop dealing with Public Storage.

My initial impression was good in terms of general customer service when establishing the account, the property is clean, and the staff are helpful. But since being in the unit there was a water leak that has created damage to my property. I opted for the insurance coverage and would recommend that everyone do so. The problem is I have the largest unit they offer with an entire house inside. I’m told the I would have to incur the cost to move from the unit that leaks to another unit. I feel that this move should be at the expense of Public Storage; and they disagree. I was not informed of the leak although they say neighboring units had the same issue and the leak has now been fixed. In the meantime, I have no way of knowing just how much damage is happening to my property. Again, get the insurance if you rent from this location.

I was referred to this location from a nearby location. I am so glad, I was directed to this location! Felecia was very friendly, professional and understanding. She understood my concerns of placing my valuabes in storage, besides strongly encouraging me to buy the shrink wrap :) she eased my uneasiness explaining the managment of the facility. The facility was very clean and although I was a little disappointed my unit was not a drive up unit; I was satisfied with the upkeep of all the indoor units. Thank you to Felecia and staff for making this decision a great one.

The staff here is extremely friendly! My unit isn’t huge but it works for me. Caught a deal online and I only pay $ 50/mo. It’s a little tucked off but if you’re familiar with the area you shouldn’t have any issues. I missed the driveway a few times coming around the corner too fast. LoL Facility is clean, temperature controlled. Satisfied! Office closes at 6p but you can access your unit until 9p.
