Go to the kitchen at the museum of Appalachia! What a secret find. Get here before noon if you want the squash or okra. I walked here along hwy 61, and the museum is great, but the kitchen!!! So many retired teachers turned cooks and bakers! Service is great, friendly, and the food is REALLY the best of home cooking… Fresh ingredients, loving daily preparartion, beaautiful setting looking out over a dreamy farm setting. I had a stuffed pepper, just the rightsizeand balance, not runny. The fried apples was yummy too, so was the chicken soup, with shredded pieces of white meat. Coming back soon! So should you.
