This is a great little Mexican restaurant. The food is good, simple, real Mexican food. It is not Tex-Mex nor Cali-Mex. Please ignore the idiot that claims he’s from Cali and knows what real Mexican food is; Cali-Mex is not Mexican. The food is always as expected, the cost is reasonable, and the family that owns it are great people. I’ve spent months in Texas and California, and had a roommate once from Toluca, Mexico who cooked for me often, and can tell you from experience, this food is solid. I’ve never taken anyone here who was disappointed in the food or the service they received.

My family and I LOVE Los Caballeros. You hardly have to wait to get a table. The service is amazing and we are always greeted warmly whenever we come. It is, hands down, the BEST place to get chimichangas in Tennessee. Waiting for your meal takes no time at all. It’s great to go for every occasion.

Well, with full disclosure in mind, I came from California so I am use to REAL Mexican food. That being said, when I first moved to East Tennessee many years ago I stopped at a different Mexican restaurant and asked for tamales. They came in a bowl covered in gravy. So this place beats that hands down. However, my wife and I(and our 2 year old) decided to give it a try. I ordered a taco/burrito plate, my wife ordered a taco/enchilada plate, and we ordered a cheese quesadilla for my daughter. The tacos tasted exactly like Taco Bell except there was no lettuce on them. I literally could not have told the difference in a taste test other than the lettuce. I am surprised to see the fried shell in the picture on the Unilocal page because my taco shell was clearly the boxed variety. The ground beef in the taco, burrito and enchilada was all exactly the same. Just ground beef(no seasoning that I could detect) and NOTHING else. My burrito and my wife’s tamale were literally the same thing — a flour tortilla wrapped around ground beef — but her enchilada had some red sauce on top of it. I was excited to see chips and salsa, although I would guess the chips were made the day before and the salsa was very watery. The salsa had good flavor and I did polish off all of the chips and salsa — but mostly because I was still hungry from the food I couldn’t eat — and having to put the salsa on the burrito for flavor. But SURELY there must have been a positive aspect of the visit, right? Yes, there was. The waiter was friendly and the cheese quesadilla we got for my daughter was delicious. It tasted like a grilled cheese sandwich. If we HAD to eat here again, we would order that. :) I would also like to add a nice little surprise at the end — each of us received ¼ of a fried tortilla with sugar, cinnamon and some honey and butter drizzled on them. They were delicious. It wasn’t expensive, but definitely not a bargain, either. Especially considering the tacos were identical to Taco Bell and the burritos would have been better at taco bell. And the enchilada was a burrito. I’m still on the look out for a REAL Mexican Restaurant in the area — specifically with carnitas tacos. Stay tuned for more. :)

Food was ok. My dinner was lukewarm, and needed flavoring. I got a tamale and a burrito. I ordered a side of guacamole. This was the biggest disappointment. It wasn’t fresh guacamole, it was a paste. Reminded me of what subway uses. My stomach didn’t agree with the food either! The best surprise was the dessert treat they gave every table. Basically a tortilla with cinnamon & icing. However, I probably won’t return.

Absolutely awesome Mexican restaurant!!! The best Mexican food in Clinton! I love trying new places, and I have yet to find a Mexican restaurant that is as good as Los Caballeros in Clinton, TN. I am a regular at Los Caballeros, and will continue to be as long as they’re open. It is family owned and operated, and the staff are very nice and attentive. The owner is Eliseo Garcia, and he works hard to provide a great Mexican restaurant for the city of Clinton, TN. He works 7 days a week most weeks, and cares about his customers. He knows his regulars, and takes care of them. He greets me by name and a smile everytime I come in. One time, it was a few days before Christmas and I ate at Los Caballeros. It was a very slow evening at the restaurant, and when I finished eating, I went to pay for my food. When I handed Eliseo my ticket, and was handing him the money, ha waived his hand and said, «No, Billy, don’t worry about it. Merry Christmas!» That kind of hospitality doesn’t happen many places anymore! Needless to say, I’m a customer of Los Caballeros for life!!!

This place is located in Tennessee. I was at my aunts house for a visiting. She decided to take us here since I really wanted to eat some good Mexican food. When I entered inside, this place was completely empty. I got the single Chicken Chimichanga. With extra queso. It came with beans and rice. The food overall was good but I’ve def had better. I really liked it though. But In Atlanta I find really good mexican food. But good food overall. The prices are decent, its not too bad. There is a buffet at a certain time my aunt was telling me. Apparently its popular and the place gets packed. Must have been bad timing for me. I will definitely try again when I come!

I’ve eaten here regularly for over ten years. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the eastern U. S. I’ve lived and eaten all over the country, including 6 years in New Mexico, and outside of Santa Fe, this place is my choice. The décor is simple(«Mexican kitsch») and the place is quiet(no TV; low-playing Mexican music for background). It’s family owned and operated, and the service is quick, polite(«Señor», Señora”) and friendly, without being too assertively familiar. Everything on the menu is tasty and what you’d expect from standard Mexican fare in the U.S. What sets this place apart though are their chiles rellenos. They use large, meaty Poblano peppers(not cheap, tissue-thin Anaheims), filled with a rich queso and ground beef filling. The egg-white coating is crisp and the light sauce is very tasty. They are served piping hot. These are the best rellenos I’ve had outside of Santa Fe. The prices here are very reasonable. Overall it’s a great eatery with great value.

Seems to be family run, good food, good service. I was there on Wednesday night, and they had a GREAT Mariachi band. I am in the area on business and will definitely return.

This is one of the better Mexican restaurants I’ve ever eaten at, and definitely the best one in this area. Prices are good, the place always seems clean, and the staff is always attentive and helpful. My favorite dish off the menu is the Chili Colorado.

This place has one of my favorite guilty pleasures: Queso Blanco dipping sauce stuff. I don’t know why I like it so much. It’s rather hard to find it major metropolitan areas. Other than that it’s run-of-the-mill mexican fare. The staff here is very nice and attentive, although that’s probably the norm in Clinton, TN.
