K & M’s the Yak Shak

I was in Clinton on business and after 3.5 hours of driving quite hungry. I walked the Square looking for something as healthy as possible and I stopped in the Yak Shak. Basic small town diner with no frills. Fairly good menu and friendly service. The Mom does the cooking and son works the restaurant. Fair selection of salads but on that very very cold day my colleague and I decided on one of the 3 homemade soups (made by Mom). We were allowed to sample the soups, hard choices because they were all very good and well seasoned. I ordered the soup and ham/​cheese special, (okay not as healthy as planned) but well worth the extra calories. My colleague ordered the same with a different soup and added the blueberry pie. This is home cooking at it best. I will certainly experience again on my next trip to Clinton.
