I love Cups coffee! It’s absolutely wonderful! The baristas here are also great! I even pay in cash here just so I have change to put into the tip jar! The atmosphere is adorable –old house tuned coffee shop. What’s not to love about this place? … The price of specialty coffee. But first everything I love about Cups! Going to Cups in the Clinton location is a right of passage if you attend Mississippi College. Everyone knows about the place. Everyone has had at least one«cup». The establishment is tre adorable! Everything here is so eclectic from the furniture to the décor. Each month they even seem to have a theme to their tip jar! I go here to study and get work done at least once a week. It’s such a quaint establishment and the campus nearby wouldn’t be the same without it! You can even order food here! The chicken salad sandwich is wonderful! They make their own bread fresh everyday, and it’s sour dough! YUMMY! But the prices! The prices here are equivalent to that of Starbucks! Yes, it’s «specialty» and«local» so I’m willing to pay for it once a week. Yes, they have a loyalty card that kicks back 10% to you. Yes, the customer service is good. However, this is a college town. Students do not have $ 5 everyday for coffee. Yes, I know it is the blondies and brunettes that will cost a little extra, but this is a college town there are places to get free regular coffee everywhere(i.e. the Healthplex, the apartment complexes, the list goes on). Also, the food is good but is slightly over priced. I want to give Cups a five star rating but they either need to jazz up the décor as there are some cracks in the walls or lower the prices a little. I’m a regular and love Cups, and believe this is one of the places that makes Clinton shine! :D

I love their blondie lattes and the old house they are located in, here in Clinton. I usually sit on their deck to enjoy my latte.

Support local coffee houses is always my motto. And I always love going to this particular cups because the baristas are immensely nice, they’re fast, and my coffee order is always right. They also make some excellent recommendations. It is in a old house, which makes it a quaint little coffee shop. If you’re a student, you can get a discount on a medium sized coffee. It can be packed at times, being so close to a college campus but I’ve yet to have a bad experience.

I didn’t even get a coffee, since I was short on time, but knew I would like this place. They have several small rooms where people could get work done(or have a small meeting/chat), and a nice patio where ~15 people were hanging out last night(Friday) — and someone was strumming the guitar. Also walkable from a few other small businesses, including 303 Jefferson(nice southern restaurant).

Good, everyday it is inconsistent. I understand that everyone is different, but ratios should be somewhat similar when I’m ordering the same drink everyday. But I stopped going because of inconsistency

Support your local barrista! The kid knows how to pull a shot. Stay with him, ask for a smaller cup for your latte/cappuccino. Anything other than Starbucks, though they’re nearby. But it’s set in a town, you have cobblestone streets, and that Southern charm. The bathroom is ok. The house is a little run down, could use some money put into, it, but hey, the product was delviered well.

Cups is my favorite spot in Clinton. Whether you love coffee or not, Cups in Clinton is somewhere that you’ll want to check out. The coffee shop is an old house that has been repurposed. Because of this, you get a lot of great seating options. There are four rooms inside: two mid-sized rooms, one small study room, and one large room to the right of the counter. They also have a large porch area which is wonderful for sitting in the Fall. They have great coffee as well. They typically rotate about three different blends per day. What I love the most is that they offer a variety of different brewing methods. Besides the default method of coffee brewing(drip) they offer French press, pourovers, aero press, as well as just about any traditional espresso drink you can think of. Their coffee isn’t the best in Jackson, but it’s certainly close. Something important to note: if you’re opposed to the polystyrene cups, you can request to have your drink in a ceramic mug. That’s what I always do, and I find that it tastes even better that way. Also check out their chicken salad sandwich. It’s delicious and it’s made on homemade bread which is always a plus. Cups is definitely worth a try, specifically because it’s such a staple in Clinton.

I really like Cups! It is a charming house converted to coffee shop, right next to MC campus. The workers are always friendly. I always enjoy their hot or iced coffee, and studying there when I want a break from home or campus. I love how they have their signature styrofoam cups out for people to pour themselves unlimited ice water. You can get a medium sized coffee for the price of a small sized coffee if you’re a MC student. On Fridays, it’s FEF(Free Expresso Fridays)! They will give you a free expresso shot in a cute, small mug set for you to enjoy. A free pick me up never hurts! ;)

Very nice helpful staff. Constant stream of business at 8 am, but no wait in line. Plenty of seating, both group and individual. Large outdoor area for sitting as well. Will have to try more of the coffee flavors before I give it more stars.

I’m quite a fan of Cups because they have some good drinks, food and coffee. It’s a great place to study when there’s not random meetings there with loud people. When I say some good drinks it’s because not all drinks here are created equally. I’ve tried the London fog and some of the Cups«specialties». The London fog is sweet and mostly foam. I love foam but this drink does nothing for me, and was a waste of money. Now onto the specialties, I have tried most of them and I have nothing stellar to say. They all mostly taste the same and are some version of chocolate, caramel syrup and coffee/latte mixture. It’s nothing great. With that said, I have quite a few friends who quite like their specials so maybe I’m just biased. Foodwise, I liked Cups. I’m a big fan of their«sticky» homemade moist bread. The texture is something to get used to but it’s quite addicting. I usually got peanut butter and jelly and would mix it up by getting the chicken salad. I have noticed who makes your sandwich can be generous or not on portions, haha. So watch out! Coffee wise, I’m not a fan of the blueberry flavor. All the others are quite delicious, especially the crème brûlée. Quite good. They also have a student size, so students don’t forget to save some money! My favorite drink here is probably the chai latte. I get iced or hot and either way it’s good. It’s a little sweet, but hey it’s addicting. Overall Cups is a nice place to spend time with friends and have a good coffee. Also, they do serve their drinks in modest styrofoam«Cups» branded cups. What a tongue twister. So if you’re against waste or can’t stand the taste, you can ask them to make your drink in the house mugs. You have to return it though. ;-) Or you can buy some, they have some really nice mugs and other coffee/tea related items for sale.

The number one thing I miss about Mississippi is Cups. As a student, I walked to Cups often a few times a week. It really caters to the students as well as the Clinton community. The staff was always warm, friendly, and genuine. Pros: student medium coffee for $ 1.41; flavored coffee of the day; great staff, pretty and cozy place to relax. Great for Bible studies and light reading. Cons: the bathroom, the noise level, several specialty drinks are smaller and pricier than Starbucks.

I love Cups! The staff are always super friendly, coffee is great, and the atmosphere just adds to the charm. They also offer discount coffee to students which is a life saver to some of us!

The coffee here is solid, with several brews that rotate daily. Likewise, the espresso beverages are competently prepared; my cappuccino was perhaps a bit too foamy on top, but it was still an above-average preparation of the stuff. However, I’m not a fan of the fact that everything is served in polystyrene cups, as opposed to ceramic.(I know that some people just hate polystyrene in general, but a small sign at the counter argues that, looking at the big picture, polystyrene is less environmentally destructive than paper cups, which often require a sleeve or a second layer.) I’m a bigger fan of the coffee shop space itself. This Cups location(there are other independently owned locations across central Mississippi) is set in a repurposed home in the historic section of Old Town Clinton, just off the Mississippi College campus. The result is a somewhat segmented interior, with seating broken up into several airy nooks(tables and couches are plentiful), along with both enclosed and outdoor patio areas. It’s really quite pleasant at times. Still, the place shows a bit of age and incomplete remodeling; the bathroom, for example, is clean enough to use, but it’s still a little musty, with a mop and bucket tucked behind a shower curtain in the bathtub. Wireless is free. You can usually park in the nearby church lot, but there’s plenty of street parking in the neighborhood, as well. And if you’re just passing through town, it’s not too far off I-20, so it’s convenient enough.

The coffee here has a little more flavor than it does at the Starbucks in Clinton, and the setting is pretty neat. It’s an old house that was converted into a coffee shop, so the rooms all look different and there are a lot of different seating options. The food is also good, but there’s not much of a menu: just a different sandwich every day, served with chips. If you call before you go, they’ll tell you what they’re serving for the day. I’ve never had a problem with the wireless or anything else here. My only warning is that, if it’s crowded, you might be stuck sitting at a small table. This is really only an issue if you bring a laptop with you, because if you have to sit at one of the small tables, you won’t have much space to work with after you open it up. Other than that, it’s great. They let people park in the parking lot across the street if there’s no room on the curb, and even when it gets crowded, there are enough rooms and spaces that you can usually find a quiet place.

Pretty good coffee, lots of nooks and rooms to hide away from crowds and a well appointed study room make this a great little college-town coffee shop. Trivia night on Thursdays makes for a fun evening. The coffee is good and getting better. I stop in when I’m passing through Clinton and need a break. Great place to get a cup of coffee and relax for a bit.

This is the only ‘real’ coffee shop I’ve found in Clinton. It’s an old house in Old Town Clinton converted into a relaxing place to study, enjoy friends, eat a nice bagel and, yep, drink coffee. Since I am a coffee snob, I personally think the coffee could be much better; however, the authenticity of the place keeps me coming back. Sit in a quiet nook and read or go out on the deck for a group discussion, whatever is your ‘cup of tea’!
