Very nice restaurant. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Great happy hour. We sat on the bar side and the waitstaff was very nice and accommodating. We will go back and take our friends. Awesome purple lights outside give it an inviting look at night.

They often close early unannounced. Very inconvenient when you drive out of your way.

Wish I had six stars. The salad is perfect. The bread is a 10 on a scale from 1 to 10. I rarely eat bread unless it’s astounding and this is. The calamari appetizer is some of the best we’ve ever had I had eggplant Napoleon sandwich, and it was fabulous. My husband had the ribs and they were not great. But everything was hot and the service was great.

5 stars for Sajo’s, 10 stars for Dan. Have recently had multiple family events there. Food is always great(try the pecan chicken, mmmmmmmmmm) Now to Dan. Today we had a large gathering and someone had a problem with their oxygen machine, he was calm on his feet and took awesome care of this individual while we figured things out. Great job Dan!

I have been here a number of times. Staff is friendly and food is always great. The owner is around and will always ask how you are and if everything is good. Good menu, prices are good. They have specials during the week and will email you with a special offer. I give Sajo’s a 5 star rating . I always order the Salmon and it is always great. One of my favorite places to eat.

We had to have an early dinner so we arrived a little before 4pm on a Friday so the place was basically empty. I was in the mood for some Italian food and a glass of red wine. I was happy to see that it was Happy Hour on the menu(3pm — 7pm) but sad to learn that Happy hour is not for the shmoo’s like me and mom who decide to dine in the dining area and pay $ 20.00 a piece for a meal. No, ‘Happy’ hour is for those who like to sit at the bar! So stupid. It was the end of the week and I wanted to celebrate with a glass of wine but found their Happy hour only for bar patrons ridiculous so I didn’t order wine. Mind you our waiter would have had to walk a whole 10 feet from our booth to the bar to fetch the glass of wine. The inside was pretty. The food was pretty good. The service was good. I found the tomato sauce on the noodles was sweet and the noodles were over cooked. I was charged $ 2.00 more to get a caesar salad instead of garden salad with my meal… again, over charging and kinda silly. They have a nice selection, generous portions, OK taste to food, nice ambiance, good service so I would return.

Went here with a work group of about 10 – 15 people, there was a separate room we were placed in which was nice. The food was mediocre, I ordered a strip steak medium rare and it was extremely tough others in my group were not impressed by the food as well. One person had received a martini with lip prints on the glass. I can understand that Clinton Township is not the epicenter of fine dining but I left a little underwhelmed at the experience.

The food was quite good, and a nice menu selection to choose from. Had the grilled chicken and mozzaralla sandwich, which I would recommend to anyone.

This place is delicious and a class act! We hosted my uncles luncheon after his funeral down at resurrection cemetery. The food was amazing! We had 4 entrees to choose from, everything from the chicken to fish to pasta was delicious! They have a delicious and healthy homemade dressing for their house salads(they need to bottle and sell) also, the dessert was to die for a yummy cassata cake(my fav!!). The waitstaff was very friendly and kind. We will be back to eat dinner(hopefully no more funerals :() and will highly recommend to others!

Nice Italian type restaurant, service was great and food was good. The margarita did not have sour mix listed on the description but it did taste like there was sour mix, but not terrible. My husband loved his steak salad and the chicken Marsala was good.

I think this place is much needed for the area. They really present quality in their food, service, and drinks. The ambiance is lovely. Really great for a date or private lunch. My only gripe is the immense lack of vegetarian and vegan options, it makes ordering rather difficult. If that was up to par, it would be my favorite macomb county restaurant.

Was here for a wedding shower. Food was good, I had a mushroom steak dish. I ate at the Roseville location years ago, and remember a better experience so I was disappointed this time around. First off, my wine glass had lipstick from God knows when still on it. Second, our server was rude and couldn’t seem to be bothered to be polite. The quality of the food was the only saving grace, really. I’ll think again before I come back.

We’ve been going to sajos for years! The new location inside is stunning! The food still amazing. I still compare every chicken lemon rice soup to theirs, I can eat it everyday!

Fried calamari was very good and the Black and Blue Cajun Steak Salad was delicious. Wed night it is half off wine bottles. Service a little pushy on the second bottle of wine which was totally not necessary for two people. I would probably give it 5 stars but the pushiness of the second bottle by the waiter really irks me.

Pains me to give Sajo’s a 3, but I’ve been eating at Sajo’s for about twenty years(back when they were still at their Roseville location), and expected better. I should add that while I’ve had Sajo’s probably an easy hundred times in those years, I still hadn’t been to this location, and it’s been open for years. This is actually about a 3.5 rating. I came here with a group of five on a Monday at a complete off-hour — 3pm. There was maybe one other table occupied in the whole place. Oh, that reminds me, the building is gorgeous. It’s a bit dark on the inside, but your eyes will adjust after a couple minutes. The menu is fairly sizable, but not to the point where it reads like a novel — it’s just a single sheet of paper with options for chicken, steak, seafood, salads, appetizers, and a nice little wine list. Curiously, I went for the lobster stuffed salmon with french onion soup. The french onion soup used to always be a favorite of mine at Sajo’s, and while I enjoyed it, I feel like they changed the recipe. It had a good flavor and wasn’t overly salty(thank God), but it was merely warm, and the cheese on top was only a little broiled, and wasn’t even burnt on the sides, which is the best part! The lobster stuffed salmon was something I was looking forward to just because I trust Sajo’s quality in food from years past, and I hadn’t had lobster before. Yes, you read that correctly. I only recently started eating seafood, alright? Leave me alone! I enjoyed it, but I wasn’t blown away by it. The fish was cooked nicely and a nice portion, and there was plenty of filling, but it was just a little too salty. To make things a little more frustrating, the green beans I had(that seemed to be served with basically every plate) were also too salty. The garlic mashed potatoes that came with the fish were creamy with some clumps and I really enjoyed them. For dessert, I split a slice of key lime pie, and I’d not hesitate in saying it was the best I’ve had. Great lime flavor without being overly tart, and it wasn’t too sweet either. To be fair, I haven’t had more than seven different varieties, but still — really tasty. The service was fine, if not overly attentive, but it *was* an off-hour, and I’d generally expect that from any empty restaurant. TL;DR My knocks on Sajo’s are fairly minor, but it’s not what I’d expect from the place, given my previous experiences. My fish and green beans were a little too salty, and for the plate being $ 20, I expected essential perfection. The soup was good, if not quite hot enough, the key lime pie was excellent, and the service was almost *too* much.

True casual dining, upscale from many of the Mom-n-Pop restaurants I usually visit. I have driven past this business for too many years. Yesterday(Saturday night) was my 1st visit ever. Arrival without reservations was handled efficiently and I was seated immediately. I ordered a daily special — salmon patties, with green beans and rice. The salmon patties were good, set on a bed of sliced peppers and special sauce, beans and rice were equally good. They also do private parties and special occasions here. I will have to visit again.
