It’s a bar. Get over posting a lame review! It’s a nice neighborhood pub that tend to bring back the regulars. My favorite is the Maurice salad. Guinness is on tap and they know how to make a decent Black and Tan.

Well Ive heard about the legendary burgers… and was told to put it on my list 2 things here saved the day-date 1. Samantha 2. The Burger Samantha our server, although she has only worked here for 4+ months she knew the menu inside & out highlights & low lights. So the bride ordered a crock of french onion soup $ 5 good, lots of cheese, but the cooks here have a very heavy hand when it comes to salt-sodium I ordered the local favorite chicken & dumplings soup BEYONDTOOSALTY, Samantha checked on me & my still full bowl of soup Is everything okay? Ahhh…nope way to salty way to overcooked, may I try the chili instead Sure! Oh we are out of chili(at 7pm on A Saturday Night) if your willing to wait, they can make some more? Ah, no thank you, I’ll try the clam chowder Clam chowder comes out… and it had a strong lemon & dill taste… sour? She took that back & took it off of the bill. I wanted to order the Irish Platter, but they were out of cabbage & carrots??? (at an Irish Pub ?) We split a Clancy burger cooked medium, it came out cooked medium, juicy & flavorful with sweet pickles & thousand island, very good burger, plus a quality bun. I now also see why most bars have low level lighting… this place is old, tired & dirty I will not even try to review the bathrooms.

Hadnt been to this spot in awhile, so we decided to check it out for the Lions/Packers game last Sunday. Not much good to say. Place was packed, but we get a table. And waited to get served. And waited. And waited. Finally the waitress takes our order. Two beers. So we wait it out for like half of the first quarter, but she never came back. They had only one bartender and two waitresses waiting on like a hundred people during the biggest football game this town has seen in years. Not sure if it was just a scheduling miscue, but gimme a break. So we went to Ciccarelli’s…

Liquid lunch only for me. Friends had food and said it was decent, not 2 draft beers had sour taste to them, like lines needs to be changed. Very good service though. If I were to go again I would stick to bottled beer.

I didn’t eat any of the entrees or sandwiches, so this review is only for drinks and an appetizer. The lighting is pretty dim in here, but we sat down and received prompt service. My date had a beer and a shot of tequila and I had a gin and tonic. The tonic was standard, well chilled, and of a normal size. I can’t complain about it at all. The appetizer we ordered was chips and salsa. The chips came out hot and crispy(although slightly greasy), and the salsa tasted fairly fresh and of a better quality despite having absolutely no spice to it. Overall our experience was good and the prices were standard.

Fish & chips were flavorless. Jalapeño poppers were garnished with iceberg lettuce. Draft beer gas lines were broken. Skip it & go elsewhere.

Pretty boring place. No ambiance, nothing special. The drinks are a little pricey too. It’s a last resort bar for me.

Beer selection: decent Décor: recently updated, and much better than what it was before. Staff: Hit or miss. Been here a couple of times now, and you either get someone who knows what they’re talking about, can discuss food and beer options… or you get someone who stops dead like rainman counting scattered toothpicks, gets the look of a scared deer in the headlights, and starts hair-twirling as if that will somehow conjure an answer into their heads out of thin air. If you have questions about anything, go to the bar. That’s your best bet. Food: tried several of the appetizers and a couple sandwiches over the course of a few stops. Nothing’s been terrible, but nothing’s blown my doors off, either.

Ordered shepherd pie, gravy super salty from can, meat ground from their burger meat, veggies had no taste, and mashed potatoes from box. Not good. Had sliders, tough meat. Beer was ok. First time there, bad impression of food, bad impression of staff. Food needs work. One waitress was brushing her hair with her hands then taking the food, other was eating fries at bar area. Place needs work, will not go back.

Went here since I had a grupon. The food was good but our service was excellent! Our waitress was attentive and very nice to us. I would come back here.

Pleasantly surprised, and better than expected. I remember when it was Rosie O’Grady’s and a bit of a dive. Looks like they’ve updated the place a bit. Got the Groupon and arrived during happy hour. Can’t beat that! Cheap food and cheap beer. Potato skin appetizer was tasty. Solid fish & chips with really good coleslaw(creamy instead of vinegar).

Great bar, and great bar food! Recently had a Groupon for dinner and drinks for Clancy’s. My friend and I used it, no problems at all. Had great pizza! Way better then I expected. Great sauce, well done and there was a lot of pizza for the price. The place also had half price appetizers too, a great variety of differen’t selections you could choose from. Had a lot of fun while I was there, only thing I don’t like is that there are no outside windows, makes the place really dark. This wasn’t my first time either. The girls who work there are very social and know what their doing behind the bar!

Clancy’s Irish Pub opened about one year ago, and it is located between 18 and 19 Mile roads in Clinton Township, which is a suburb northeast of Detroit. The pub has a laidback atmosphere and is great for watching sports or enjoying Karaōke on Tuesday nights. The menu offers pizza, salads, burgers, sandwiches and more. The portions are large, and all the food I’ve seen here looks appetizing. This food is much better than your average pub grub. Also, the bar always has cheap beer. It’s like the Happy Hour that never ends. The one thing that really sets Clancy’s apart from other bars in the Metro Detroit area is its monsterous 5 lb. Champion Burger challenge. You get 45 minutes to eat the 2.5 lb patty topped with a pound of bacon plus pickles, lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. Oh yeah, as if that weren’t enough, there is one pound of French fries on the side. Only two people have been able to tackle the feat thus far! It’s free for those who finish, and anyone who beats the champ’s time will get their name placed on a burger-shaped championship belt… like WWE wrestlers or champion boxers receive.
