Uncle Gus’s Lodge & Marina

I don’t normally write reviews no matter how upset I am, but people need to know not to go here. I Had one of the worst experiences of my life at Uncle Gus’. I rented out a Deck Boat that was priced way over every other place I found on google for the Dallas, TX area. Since July 4^th is a busy time every other place was booked. So, we decided to drive down to Whitney from Dallas. We had a little bit of car trouble/​got there about an 30 minutes later than our planned time. I talked to Mrs. Rayette Bible and explained the car situation and tried to let her understand that we would like our full 4 hours of boat time. They close at 6 and out time slot was from 1 – 5. Since no one had rented the boat from 5 – 6, i kindly asked her to simply let us go out from 2 – 6 instead. She refused, so i asked one more time. Then what happened surprised me. Mrs Rayette accused me of calling her old and then one of her other customers threaten to fight me and my girlfriend for trying to make a simple business deal! All the while Mrs. Rayette thanked her rude customer for wanting to start a fight. After all was said and done she told me she was going to charge my card at the full price and not give us a boat. She was being completely irrational at this point. Wow, Come on guys, shape up or get out of the market! NEVER GO HERE! And if you do, don’t bring your children anywhere near this place. I will NEVER visit this place again. I will say one thing though, Mr. Bible (Mrs. Rayette Bible’s husband) was extremely helpful and nice! Thanks Mr. Bible. I feel sorry for your situation there with the witch.
