I have been going to Subway in general for many years. In fact, I have been to this store a handful of times and each and every time it seems to be an issue for them to change their gloves. I ordered a big philly cheesesteak and combo to stay. When I asked the person to change his gloves, he rudely rolled his eyes and it seemed to be funny to the rest of staff of two girls as I watched them giggle. After finding out he was the manager/owner, I was surprised to see he didn’t prove as a good example to his staff on how they should treat their customers. Just because he’s the franchise owner, doesn’t mean he can fail to recognize he doesn’t own the Subway brand name. I’m not sure what planet he lives on but I work in a business and it’s always the customer first. If I fail to provide my customer with the best service possible, they can go somewhere else, which I will do so. I don’t need to pay for rude behavior. I’m sure he would feel as angry as I am, if he had a food allergy. When we went to pay for the sandwich, my friend asked to use his subway points where he was told only select franchises participate and only certain sandwiches are allowed. He asked where this was written one of the girls, Priscilla indicated it wasn’t written anywhere but they knew it by heart. Really? What an odd procedure for a large establishment as Subway. After we sat down to eat, I watched this manager & the 2 staff giggle and talk loudly about us. How rude! After we finished eating, I went up to ask for the manager’s contact information where Priscilla giggled and told me he was the manager/owner.(what was so funny?) Childish! As I waited for her to get the so called manager, I watched her walk to the back of the store and scratch her rear-end with long nails. Disgusting! The manager should be more concerned about is his staff’s hygiene. In a food establishment anyone serving food shouldn’t scratch their body. That’s completely unsanitary. The manager came to the front of the store & I asked him what the issue with changing his gloves was. He was completely obnoxious; he began to tell me he’s the owner, he’s been there for many years and he could run the store the way he wants to. All he did was put money toward a franchise fee. Anyone with money could do that but not everyone can run a business with good customer service. Honestly, with an attitude like his, he won’t be there for too long. He said his name was Ken but refused to provide me with his full name. He should be ashamed of himself with the constant rolling eyes and the lack of customer service. I recommend you send this franchise manager and his staff to customer service training as they lack it. I’m still surprised to find out the guy who made my sandwich was the franchise owner and being the owner, he was the one who was rolling his eyes. Today is my last visit to this Subway, I’ll take my money elsewhere & I’ll tell my friends, family and Unilocal my story. We’ll go to the quick check down the street.
