Saturday, 1:30pm Ordered calamari, veal marsala, and stromboli. Waitress came back and asked if we wanted cheese sticks since they were out of calamari. The cheese sticks were just the frozen stuff you get at Costco. Not bad, but not good. My marsala came out before his stromboli. I waited. The veal was a tiny sliver of meat that had none of the characteristics that should differentiate it from yearling beef. Once his stromboli came out, I tried the veal. It was not tender, and it was incredibly salty. I tried a bite of the pasta. It was the sauce that was salty. It tasted like chicken broth and garlic salt. There was no wine flavor to it at all. I forced myself to take a couple more bites, but that was all I could do. It was inedible. I told the waitress, she apologized. She told the cook and then things started getting slammed in the open kitchen. It was embarrassing. There was no offer to make it right somehow, nor did they discount the cost of the meal. The stromboli was good. The garlic bread was excellent.

Ate here after visiting the Red Caboose and it was excellent. Had the chicken piccata and it was delicious! The service was quick and friendly and the chef/owner came and visited with us. The atmosphere is cozy and reminds me of Austin. Its great food and service!

This place was great! Service was quick and friendly. The rolls were great. Really enjoyed our salad with a unique, but tasty house dressing. For entrees, I had the eggplant parmigiana, and my friends had chicken piccata and the pasta trio. Everyone loved their food. If I’m back in the area, I would not hesitate to return. Great meal!

Very good italian food, They give you pleanty of great food for a fair price. Last time i went with my family we all agreed that it was the best italian food around town and we all got pleanty to eat. (my family is big people) The service was great, the waitress we had was very nice and very attentive. The design of the interior is very modern yet classy in a beautiful way.

If you find yourself in Clifton, this is good and reasonable Italian food. We had the Chicken Napoli and Chicken Jerusalem and both were decent. The price was very reasonable. The garlic bread was great and they brought seconds. Giving 3 stars for two reasons: the address on Unilocal is WRONG! It’s at 1604 W 9th. Second, they do not serve wine or beer, but you can BYO. Would have liked knowing that and the correct address.

Food good, but garlic bread not so garlicky. think they forgot to put the garlic on. The Calzone was good and a lot of it. But only four ravioli’s? Come on! What true Italian only eats four? Don’t skimp on the amount.

We went to this location with a group of 7. All the food was amazing. Service was great and their portions are very generous. We had a variety of entrees and a large hand tossed meat lovers pizza(which was extremely large). Their prices are very reasonable. It is well worth the drive!!!

I’ve been here a couple of times and both times I left less than satisfied. My food I got tasted bland. The only saving grace was the side of ranch I requested. Will I go back again? Maybe. They say that the third time is the charm. If I do then I will post a follow up review.

I find this place hit or miss. I love the philly cheese steak, Stromboli, and calzone oh and rolls. Don’t like their tea, ranch dressing(tastes like it comes out of a tin can), sausage they put on their pizza or pizza lunch special. Pizza Special had about a teaspoon on cheese on it and the sausage tastes like it comes out of a plastic bag. But their Ceasar salad is good and pastas are pretty good. Garlic rolls are yummy. You just have to order correctly. I don’t waste my money on tea anymore because it tastes like water.

This restaurant has some of the best Italian food we have ever had. We had the Chicken Napoli, Chicken Jerusalem, and Chicken Primavera. All the pastas are homemade and the marinara sauce is to die for. Each dish was cooked perfectly and the sauces were divine. Very reasonable prices, especially for lunch($ 8.95 for salad, fresh garlic rolls and an entrée). We saw a lot of pizzas ordered for Take Out, and they looked delicious. Courtney was our waitress and she was very attentive and helpful, as were all of the staff. We will definitely eat here on our next visit to Clifton!

We were visiting Clifton from out of town and had been told by a couple of different people to try the Italian food at Bella Veta. We were not disappointed. The service was great and the restaurant is REALLY nice inside. It looks new. We loved the rock building, stained concrete floors and great décor. The food was wonderful and definitely plenty of it for the price. We were shocked to see the size of their medium pizza. Four people could have shared it. Wish I could load up this place and take it home with me but since I can’t I guess I’ll be coming back to Clifton.

Great, authentic Italian food and the buttered bread is to DIEFOR !!! They don’t offer alcohol but may allow BYOB. Call to ask, we called their other location in Whitney and were allowed to bring wine in.
