Family wanted to go here so I agreed even though I didn’t have high hopes. When I see a place with less than 4 stars on Unilocal,it hardly ever turns out well, to be honest. This fit right along with my assumption. I got a chicken panini sandwich, and the chicken wasn’t all that flavorful — it actually seemed like the meat wasn’t that fresh, and it was also pretty dry. The sandwich was overloaded with oil and the panini bread was not good at all. Not to mention, the sandwich had very little on it. The tiny container of coleslaw was over $ 3, and was not even completely full. Everyone else’s sandwiches were nothing spectacular either. On top of all this, the place smells so greasy. I was hoping for a much better experience, but just didn’t get that. At least the staff was nice, which is the only reason why I’m giving it 2 stars.

Good stuff-great service and always hopping. Took home a quart of vodka sauce this time for some raviolis we had in the freezer-delicious. Made to order salad is very good as well as the eggplant Panini! Will stop in every time I am in Clifton Park!

My husband and I came here for the first time last weekend. In a nutshell: mediocre food and way overpriced. I ordered the blackened chicken wrap and my husband ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. All specialty sandwiches/wraps are $ 8.99 and do not include any side. That price is ridiculous. Our wraps were TINY. Mine had slices of real chicken breast(spicy), while my husband’s had Boar’s Head buffalo chicken. They do have a good selection of bottled beers, and outdoor seating(picnic tables) out back. The service was incredibly disorganized. We won’t be back due to the high prices for very lackluster food and small portions.

Three words: gross, processed and cheap. The quality of the ingredients is poor and definitely not fresh. Everything began as frozen. The panini bread is anything but bread– more like pieces of cardboard. Breaded eggplant is like fried bread crumbs stuck to eggplant seeds. There is no sign of eggplant! Nice, friendly service but not my kind of place. I am sure it hits the spot for some, just not me.

My friends like to order from Halfmoon Sanwich & Salad, which is the only reason I’d ever get food from there, because I have always ordered the«Build your own Salad» and it NEVER has the ingredients I ask for. Apparently grilled chicken and asparagus are interchangeable, as are bacon bits and walnuts. Sandwiches are usually accurate but if you’re looking for a salad to have exactly what you ordered on it, don’t get a salad from here.

Extremely disappointed with the new hours. 4pm daily? Are you kidding me? Now I can never order from here again, and its been a take out staple for me. Really a shame Halfmoon. Terrible Call.

I am sick today and my mother, a regular customer, dropped off some of your chicken soup — don’t tell her, it is better than hers! Just what the doctor ordered!

Without a doubt, the best sandwiches in the area. not just Clifton Park. Today i had a standard BLT. It was just as ordered, loads of bacon, perfect blend of lettuce and tomatoes to go with it. All this over a BLT! I eat here whenever i can.

Food: On a road trip heading up to Canada we decided to grab a quick bite and decided on some sammies. The location is very convenient right off the road and easily accessible. The place was packed full of regulars and local police getting their grub on. We ordered The bomber and chicken cutlet with prosciutto and pepper jack on a garlic aïoli roll. The sandwiches are good but nothing special, just a very good snack on the run. Brew: Huge beer selection at very reasonable prices. I couldn’t really indulge because I was driving but if you ever get a chance to get the beers, they have a great selection of local and craft brews at a great price. A great deal for a sandwich shop!

Any combination of sandwich you can think of is probably on their menu. It’s a little overwhelming to decide. Ordered lunch from here numerous times and the food is always fresh and what you expect when you order. Also have had breakfast here which is pretty standard but still gets the job done. Whether a wrap, panini, sub, hard roll or simple sandwich they can make it happen. Only complaint is the salad menu doesn’t have any standard choices, everything is al a carte and complicated to put together a simple salad.

I’ve been here about 5 or 6 separate times now, both with groups and for takeout, and my experience has never been great. The food is really okay, but better if you’re with a group to split everything up, otherwise it never feels like you’re getting much. The staff has also been quite rude to me about half the times I’ve been there. My favorite for lunch had probably been the P7 panini, but it’s quite small and while it’s good, it still doesn’t really feel like I’m getting what I paid for. My best experience here was for a group breakfast. The service was very slow but the egg sandwiches really are good. I’ll probably only eat there again, though, if I find myself there with others. If you want fairly generic deli food, it’s really fine, but after a few order screw-ups that the staff was reluctant to fix, I won’t be stopping by for takeout anymore.

I love this place. My husband and I went out for lunch and decided to try this restaurant. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and my husband ordered the turkey club. OMG it was the best food I have had out in a long time. They have great prices and awesome homemade style food. I highly recommend you try this place if you haven’t already.

Breakfast sandwich deal is the best in the area Two freshly cooked real eggs, meat, cheese on a hard roll with coffee. Under $ 5.00. Or if you prefer go to one of the chain franchises in the area and get eggs that have been frozen or squirted out of a tube for about the same price.

If I were to base my review on the one and only experience I’ve had so far, I would probably downgrade one more star. But, the place is promising and I would like to return and try something else, so I am bumping them up one star. I stopped in on a whim after doing some shopping in the Clifton Park area, and wanted to patronize a local business for a late lunch bite. I was alone, so planned to grab something and go home to eat it. I didn’t realize from the outside, but it’s huge inside! I can imagine lunch time during the week probably fills up fast. I grabbed a menu, and decided on a panini which contained grilled chicken, greens, mozzarella, and balsamic. I proceeded to the counter to place my order and pay, my total was just over $ 7. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t the greatest. When I dine out, I’m expecting at the very least, friendly employees. These ladies just didn’t look happy to be there. I got home to eat my panini, and realized that there were no sides with the sandwich itself. No chips, not even a pickle. I personally don’t like pickles, so I wouldn’t eat it anyway, but I think to create a better value, something else should have been included. I unwrapped the panini, and was very disappointed. It wasn’t very big, and it was drenched and dripping with Balsamic glaze. It was hard to eat. I felt like it was a waste of time and money. I was expecting a more impressive sandwich for what I thought was a well-known and loved establishment. As I mentioned, I would like to go back because they have a huge menu, so hopefully my next review will be a more positive one.

Very easy handicapped parking/access. No stairs throughout the property. Restrooms aren’t marked as such, but they’re perfect for«assisted» access … single user, lockable doors and plenty of room for a wheelchair and a helper. Major kudos and sincere thanks to whoever did the floor plan. First, gotta say that the staff is excellent. Great service and smiling faces from all … and the entire place is spotless. Stopped for the 1st time today for a late lunch with my father-in-law. We only had sandwiches but the menu options seemed endless, including all day breakfast, salads, soups, hot/cold/specialty sandwiches & paninis, Numerous drink options also, including many different bottled beers(all @ $ 3 each). Ordering is cafeteria style but they bring your order to your table. We both got the same sandwich,(#S4 on the menu) Pulled pork, ham, swiss, pickles & deli mustard on a pressed hoagie = $ 8.49 each. I rate it «excellent». My father-in-law seemed to enjoy his, also. He grunted in agreement … I think … his mouth was full … when I said«Good, huh?». In my opinion, the prices are reasonable. You can, however, drive them up real quick by adding a few of the numerous«Toppings» at $.50 — $ 1.75 each. I’d call it somewhere between«$» & «$$», depending on your desires and your will power. They also sell Boar’s Head deli meats/cheeses, packaged pastas, jarred sauces, desserts and other«stuff».

mostly good food, yummy deli meats for sure!!! however my co-worker and i both had the chicken salad and both got sick from it… we called to inform the owner and a young lady answered, didn’t make much of an effort to relay the phone call and didn’t attempt to get a manager. All in all she didn’t say much of anything, Just that the chicken salad was made a few days prior and there’s not much else they can do… Unfortunate because we both really looooove chicken salad… Guess we’ll have to try the other stuff they have!

My husband and I had stopped in here for lunch. It was our first time so we tried a little bit of a lot of things. Here are the items we ordered– Grilled Chicken Sandwich special S11-Grilled chicken & eggplant on a pressed hero Mac Salad Pesto Salad Pepperoni Pizza eggroll BBQ/Mashed potato eggroll(quirky and fun, but one is enough) The grilled chicken special was very very good, but the S11 was not on the same caliber. It was a hard bread, over pressed, so it ended up being very hard and sort of dry… The portion sizes are quite big, but the sandwiches do not come with a side(I am obsessed with sides) therefore the prices add up pretty quick. Not crazy expensive, but a little high for a very casual lunch spot.(the atmosphere has a little bit of a gas-station vibe) It was definitely good enough to go back. The quality of the food seems high and they have an extensive menu. I am looking forward to trying other sandwiches.

This sandwich shop is pretty good and they have a wide variety. However, the prices are a bit high and I’ve had a better sandwich without paying so much before. In no way is the food bad at all, I just feel like I could get more for my money. Service is decent, but could be better and the dine in aspect is a great environment to just sit down and eat a sandwich! I ordered to go, but I ended up standing there for a pretty long time while others got their food and left. Overall, it is a decent place to get a good sandwich, but it isn’t the best place to get one.

With few authentic options around, this deli/diner hybrid satisfies in indescribable ways. Go with any of the daily specials and you’ll be on the right track. The Chicken Cutlet on a focaccia panini was large enough for two meals!
