This place blew my mind. The flavors of the dishes my roommate order were insane! I love everything. I had chicken and veggies and it was very fresh and the chicken was cooked to perfection! When I came here was the first time I had baklava and ever since there isn’t a week I got without it. This place is delicious. Always clean, always fresh, and amazing service, nothing I can explain. Well maybe one word #family. I was treated as if I was coming into their home! Delicious.

The food is great. Service is good and great dessert. I would definitely recommend the iskender. Also it is easy to find parking around the area.

Service is so slow if you hungry do not come. I am still waiting breakfast service for 45 min.

Best breakfast spot I’ve ever been too!!! Very modern, very clean, service was amazing and the food was even better. Started off with the Su Borek, it was cooked to perfection full of cheesy goodness. Then had the Sujuk and pastrami omelette, that was good but I’d probably order the omelette with tomatoes next time. On my final day of this trip I’m going to go back and stock up on their simit and baklava.

Food is excellent, service is fair, I would have given an higher score but was very disappointed that they will not serve tap water and force you to buy bottled water or soda.

The food is not what it once was — and we are disappointed following our two most recent trips. The lahmacun and patlican saltasi(smoked eggplant) are still very good but the adana kebab and calamari were awful. The calamari were deep fried to death and chewy — not what Turkish calamari is all about. Even the mayo sauce that goes with was thin and tasteless. The Adana was grisly and rubbery — like it was previously cooked, then frozen and reheated — not ground and grilled fresh. The pide is still good and I like the space a lot — just don’t trust all of the menu anymore. Also, a large staff turnaround is evident and a quiet(read: empty) room at dinner time on a Friday night, in a foodie town, is never a good sign.

Istanbul borek waiters and waitresses should change their mind set. Especially the ones work in the morning. Other than the food is excellent.

Everything is so delicious and it has a great atmosphere. Chicken adana with yogurt is the most delicious food here. You should take a table by the window.

Stopped by for dinner with my wife. We had been meaning to visit this restaurant ever since we lived near its previous location on Palisades Avenue. And the wait was worth it! Our server was super friendly and made us feel quite welcome. We ordered the shepherd’s salad and babaghanush — both were tasty, especially the latter with its smokiness. I ordered the mixed-topping pide– awesome! My wife got the Adana — just as tasty and the spices were not too overwhelming. We ended our meal with some delightful Turkish black tea and a ride pudding that I couldn’t get enough of. Highly recommend it. The only knock on this place was the lighting, which we found quite bright. Dimming them would be welcome.

I only went there for their breakfast and every time it was amazing! I took many friends and they all love the breakfast! The staff is very friendly and even though we finished our meals and stayed extra half an hour to chat, nobody bothered us! I love it! But be aware it can be though to find parking for dinner time.

Authentic Turkish cuisine with a family atmosphere. Relatively inexpensive compared to other local Turkish restaurants. Came on a Sunday and the service was excellent and quick.

Great menu and the food was top notch. The service is 5 star! Plenty of waiters and they know what they were doing. The menu had plenty of items to choose from. The lahimajeen was the best I had in years. The place was a bit noisy, I think it’s due to the layout of the restaurant but an overall great place to eat, I would definitely come again.

The reviews on here are correct — good place, good food, but inconsistent service. It is getting better tho. First experience wasn’t good, but each time after has been better. We ordered the premium breakfast combo, babaganoush, and tea. Other time we had the lamb kabab and lahmajun both also good. Def will repeat, especially cuz it’s waking distance from my house.

I feel so bad very nice restaurant has very bad waiters and waitresses. they are not friendly at all, doing very bad service. I like the place and food, but service horrible. Plz try to hire new people qualified and they have experience in hospitality. otherwise you going to lose customers and business.

I live 5 minutes from here, noticed the new place as I was walking home from the bus stop. Istanbul Borek & Kebab has high ceilings, everything is new, they have a bakery on the side of the restaurant and one flat screen TV on the wall. All the servers are very nice and make sure everything is enjoyable. The food is good here, I am in love with the Patlican Salatasi(smoked eggplant, green and red peppers, fresh dill, fresh herbs, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice and seasonings) that I sometimes buy it on my way home from work to enjoy at home(and some baklava for dessert!). I have had the Adana(seasoned and char-grilled ground lamb on skewers) twice, and both were very good. The plates come with salad, rice, half a roasted tomato and a long green pepper. The Izgara Kofte(seasoned ground meat patties) was also very good, a lot more flavorful than the chicken that my boyfriend had(chicken wasn’t bad either!) This is my go-to spot whenever I feel too lazy to cook and want a nice meal nearby.
