Fantastic food and a great evening out, we were very impressed by the young man waiting on us who gave us some good suggestions and provided outstanding service. The steaks were outstanding as we’re the house specials. We also liked the atmosphere and old inn type feel. We would go back, very impressed.

Was so looking forward to my birthday dinner at Fern Hall for we have been here before. The Johnson and Johnson vacation estate turned into an inn and dining is full of history beautifully decorated and located near Crystal Lake, Clifford PA. We were seated and gave our drink orders immediately. A short time later gave our appetizer order which promptly arrive but still no drinks. We had to ask to have them brought to the table. The rolls, I assume are the frozen dinner rolls and they were hard. When our meals arrived I was disappointed in the butter laden butternut squash and Brussel sprouts. My free range chicken was an ample 4 oz portion but no taste. We waited at least 15 minutes for the check to be taken. Service. The waiter and hostess are very sweet. They have served us before. possibly poorly managed. Sad to say I do not see us returning soon.

Delicious Gouda Burger, great prices, exceptional service, and appreciated the owner stopped over to welcome us. We also played golf and the course was incredible. We will be back.

I’ve stayed at Fern Hall a few times and have always had a great experience. The food is delicious and the staff is always friendly. The Inn is about 15 minutes away from Elk Mountain and it’s right on Crystal Lake, so it’s perfect during any time of year. It’s a great place to get away from the city life to unplug and relax. The old stone building is breathtaking and as soon as you walk inside the beautiful, old-fashion, décor feels like going back in time.

Fern Hall Inn is one of those hidden gems that people need to know about. I have eating and playing golf there for many years now and can respectfully say that the place does nothing but continue to blow me away. The golf course is in the best shape that it has even been in this year. With a team like Joe, Bob, and Jared continually making improvements to the course, it can only continue to get better and more challenging. The weddings that I have attended up at Fern Hall and at the Boat house are 2nd to none. The views, Fern Hall itself, the Boat house, and the friendly team make the place truly unique. The restaurant just got a new chef, Jared Pazanski, and I am already seeing great new dishes coming out of the kitchen. I can’t wait to get back up there next weekend for a round of golf and to enjoy a few cocktails with the owners, Ed & Sam Kamenitzer.

We looked forward to having dinner here. As others have posted here, the service was horrible. We were the only table and I counted at least 7 persons, not one of whom came over to ask if we needed more drinks, a water fill up, or to ask if everything was okay. Oh, wait a minute, the waitress came over as soon as our dishes were placed down and asked how everything was! My wife remarked that we have not even picked up our knives and forks yet. This is a place that you might see on the Food Network on Restaurant Impossible. Now onto the food. The menu items looked very nice and had potential for great tastes, unfortunately, they left the flavor in the kitchen pantry or cabinets! I had a Jerk Chicken soup. It was not bad but it had no flavor, especially no jerk flavor! For dinner, I had a duck breast with a blueberry/mustard cream sauce. It appears that they forgot to add both blueberries and mustard to the sauce. I guess the chef is afraid of flavor. My wife had ½ of a Cornish hen for $ 26! A half for gosh sakes! I felt like we were held up and robbed. How this place is open is an amazement to me, so take heed and avoid a great disappointment as well as an assault on your wallet!

I don’t know if i can even give this place 1 star!!! The only thing i can say is that our waitress busted her ass and didnt even get acknowledged by the owner… she was 10 tables deep and doing her best as the«owner» was taking pictures of us sitting there… he should’ve been busting his butt to help her. SUCHPOORMANAGEMENT!!! thats why they will NOTMAKEIT!!! the food was ok but VERY small portions. we ordered apps(which we never got) salads then dinner. luckily for our waitress we have been it this position so we were in NO rush and all i wanted to do was help her out… but other people there were not so happy and just kept yelling at her :(i BLAME the owners. POOR management!!! I wish them all good luck!

Let me start by saying I used to like to play golf here but after yesterday, my money will be better spent somewhere else. Seems they haven’t mowed in over a week. The fairways were covered with dandelions! Nothing better than losing your ball in the center cut! Then to top it all off, after teeing off on number 9 a couple comes out of nowhere, drives past us to the tee box and hits right thru us as if we were invisible. It took all the strength my cousin had to hold me back from teaching these assholes a lesson!!! It’s called golf etiquette you dumb Fucks!!! Google it!!!

I came here with a group of 8 on Saturday for a 7:30 pm reservation. Our table was located in a front dining room that was drafty, and while ½ of our table was close to the wood-burning fire, the other half was quite chilly. The food was good, but unfortunately we had to wait quite awhile for our entrees to arrive. We would’ve ordered dessert, but we were afraid we’d have another long wait before it came to our table.

We will never go here again! There was no service at all. We had reservations for 730 and never ate until 945. Went 30 min without being asked about a drink or given menus. we had to go to the bar and ask for both. there were only 4 tables! The bartender took our order and the bus boy delivered the food! there was no wait staff to be found. Once we ordered we waited over an our for our food. Salads are not included in your meal. You have to purchase them separately! every meal was 30 dollars and the food was sub par to say the least! It was the worst dining experience of my life! I do not know how this place can stay in business… the portions were so small i had to ask for another basket of rolls after dinner just to feel satisfied! BEWARE of this place. you will not have a good time or a good meal! I will make sure to tell my friends to stay away as well. I would not go here again if someone gave me a gift certificate!!!

Loved this place! Our meal was great, as was the ambiance. After dinner my husband and I sat out by the bonfire and just enjoyed the outdoors. It was the evening we were looking for. Can’t wait to go back!

This place has a great and reasonably priced sunday brunch! The outdoor patio overlooking Elk mountain with the old stone building as the backdrop is pretty amazing. The dinner menu is also very good. We had the chance to have dinner on a side patio that was very secluded from the main patio where we could see the sunset over the mountain. This seating is worth asking for if you are looking for a romantic or private dining experience. The gouda burger is great!

We stayed in this for a weekend of Ski on Elk Mountain. In this unique 1916 house they not only created a nice B&B with a restaurant but also a friendly atmosphere that brings together the guests every night in front of the fireplace. Bottom line — we liked it a lot!
