I really anticipated picking up a package here to be the worst experience ever. Because if picking up a package is anything like my recent experience with packages getting dropped off, then it couldn’t be easy.
Here’s a little story for you… Apparently in the summer months many of your regular UPS drivers go on vacation, so you get temporary UPS drivers. That means the packages your regular guy would just leave in your building in a safe area are now not dropped off. Instead, a note is left for a delivery attempt you know they couldn’t have possibly have made, since you were there all day and heard nothing. And that delivery attempt is made at like 10mins to 6PM – not when the 3 other trucks have stopped to drop off packages on your street earlier in the day.
So we had them hold the package for us and I drove out to E.68^th to pick it up? Yea. That’s annoying. But wait, it wasn’t that bad. I promise. I was helped within 10 minutes and done. Dare I say having them hold a package and picking it up yourself might be easier than having them deliver it at times.
