I have never had a bad meal here. Everything tasty. Staff is great. Very southern. You know, hey love, baby and sweetie. Nice river view and deck. Out in the boonies. That takes guts. Nice place to eat. I highly recommend.

Wonderful Italian spinach soup and the meatball hoagie was the real deal. Waitress was a hoot. Great time and the berry cobbler was excellent. We’ll be back next time through.

This restaurant definitely deserves a 5 for ambiance but only a 3 for food. My family was on vacation in Dahlonega and spent the day hiking Blood Mountain. We were all hungry, and this place was the perfect spot! They had a great porch along the river, it was a perfect setting for a Georgia vacation. The waitresses were super energetic and outgoing, joking around with everyone and really making everyone feel like one big family. I ordered the grilled pork tenderloin with cole slaw and pasta salad. My whole family agreed the cole slaw was terrible, the cabbage was shredded thin so it lacked a crunch and had a very bland flavor. For sides I recommend the fries(they are crinkle fries my favorite). I recommend the hoagies for meal. My mom ordered the French dip which had very good meat and dipping sauce, and my brother had the steak and cheese which was my favorite food I ate. They only serve bottles of beer, no tap.

We randomly stopped in b/c it looked unique. The lady with pigtails was so friendly and helpful. She looked like she genuinely liked her job, which makes the service that much more pleasant. We just ordered a chocolate bundt cake($ 3.49) and cheese sticks(6 for $ 4.99). They were average tasting, not bad but nothing spectacular. We didn’t try the food. It’s located next to a river and they have outside seating as well. They have live music on some nights as indicated by the sign. I’m sure that’s fun. Overall, stop by and check it out. Worth the trip.

We stopped in for lunch during a day of motorcycle riding in North Ga. The wait staff was a fun and friendly as I have ever seen. The place has a great atmosphere– just what you would expect from such a place. Just the right amount of nostalgia and character. I had the shrimp po boy; being from Savannah, my standards for seafood are quite high! I was not disappointed. Can’t wait to go back!

I agree with a reviews about 18 months ago. The service, or rather, attitude of the server was GREAT. She was very nice even though the timeliness of or food and over abundance of the flies(inside the restaurant) were significant detractors from the overall experience. Our food was not bad. My wife had the Turkey Reuben(which she liked), my son had the grilled trout(which he liked, as well), my other son had the meatball sub(which was HUGE and he could not finish), and I had the chicken and cheese sandwich(which I did not finish because I could not keep the lives of of it. I HATE flies. The speed of the food was very slow! It took quite a while for anyone to even take our order. And we saw tables get their food before ours. But the flies. The flies inside were very bad. The server offered to comp our meal – which she should have done since I could not finish my meal. I would not go bad. It is unfortunate, because we love to find mom-and-pop places that are not chains and we do our best to support the small, local business. But not this one again.

I recently visited Blairsville, GA for a family vacation and a friend familiar with the area took me here stating it was a local staple. Located just feet away from a babbling brook in the valley of a few large hills/mountains, the amazing setting for out of towners is a real treat. Since we were right next to moving water, I ordered the pecan crusted trout dish. It was incredibly fresh. I hate when restaurants slide frozen and fried fish in front of me. That low quality fish usually flakes apart. Not the trout dish here. The meat was incredibly moist and firm. Delicious option. We sat out on a spacious deck, and a 2-year-old dropped their pacifier over the ledge. The server climbed down towards the stream, under the deck patio, to «fish» it out and deliver it back to that family. Soooooo, the service was kinda awesome. They had a very large menu and served alcohol. Not much more you can ask for when you’re partying in the mountains of Georgia. Nice place. Definitely check it out.

Let’s be honest. We all know this isn’t a 4 – 5 star place on the merits of the food. All things considered, it’s a 3 with the potential to be 4 maybe, IF they speed up the service and do a little better on the food. The food? Pretty good. Not stellar but OK. I had the steak and cheese sandwich. It did not have a ton of meat on it and between it and the cheese, it came off a little greasy. The fries were very good even though there could have been a few more of them. My buddy had the sausage sandwich and said that it was not that great. My girlfriend had the chicken salad sandwich and was disappointed in the amount of chicken salad that was actually on the sandwich. My buddy had the apple pie and said it was good. We split a peach cobbler and while it was tasty, it did not have a lot of peaches in it. Seems they are light on the quantity of food all the way around. It took a while for us to get our food. Two other tables got food before we got ours even though we ordered before they did. My buddy did not get his French Onion soup until after his sandwich. So getting the food was a little slack. The atmosphere is great, especially if you sit on the deck. You’re right at the intersection to see all the bikes and cars go by and more importantly right, on the stream. Very nice. The service was friendly and made us feel welcome.

My wife, Marta, and I love Turner’s Corner Café. The fried green tomatoes are fantastic! All the other dishes and desserts we have tried have been great too, but the café reminds us so much of the Whistle Stop Café in the movie, Fried Green Tomatoes, we wouldn’t think of not starting with the green tomatoes. The staff has a fun and irreverent kind of attitude. They seem to genuinely enjoy serving you. The screened deck overlooking the stream is nice, but we enjoy the ‘throw back” atmosphere of the inside that is so reminiscent of the 1930’s. We hope the café remains on that corner forever. This is a new favorite. Tonight I had the beef brisket special. It was fantastic. Add to that the great outside deleting and it was perfect.

I have been twice and both times it was AWESOME! The French onion soup is the BEST! It looks like a dive on the outside but don’t be fooled. This place was GREAT! Great outdoor seating on the patio. Our waitress(think her name was Carey) was fabulous too!

My wife and I had breakfast on Nov. 11, 2012. Waiter took our order and did not return until he brought our check after meal. A female brought our order to the table. My cheese omelet was a rectangle a little thicker than a match book and not much cheese, biscuit was OK and so was the bacon. My wife had pancakes and was shocked that the off brand syrup was served in those little peel-back containers(even Waffle House serves +honey and syrup in a decanter). The white coffee mugs were heavily coffee stained inside. No one offered to re-fill our coffee. Did I mention that those peel-back syrup and jelly containers arrived on our plates touching our food. My jelly fell on the floor. I put it back on the table so that they can put it on your plate. This was a cool morning no one was out side and three or four tables were empty so the staff was not rushed. The three stars above are for the restaurants location on Boggs Creek.

Had linch there today in between wineries. Good food, the wait staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Stop by for a spell if you are in the area. You won’t be sorry.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but is a lot more spacious on the inside and a quaint patio in the back with ten tables overlooking the river. Very relaxing atmosphere, clean, and great service. I had the Reuben and blackberry cobbler and both were fantastic.

After a pretty strenuous hike, I sat down with a handful of Unilocalers to grab a burger and onion rings at Turner’s Café. Best burger in the world? Nah, but I enjoyed every bite all the same. I ended up getting a well done burger(6 oz I think) with Swiss cheese and all your typical toppings. Decent sized basket of onion rings, and while they do have Fried green tomatoes, at that time there were none available. Onion rings were $ 1 more with a combo and you can get everything for under $ 10 Clean restroom, with a fishing rod used as a curtain rack, and I got a kick out of the menu art also. Fantastic staff! Sherry, I think her name was, was very friendly, funny, and was kind enough to even take a photo for us all. No complaints about this place and if i’m back in the area again, i’d drop in.

Turner’s corner is now open under new owners. This is a staple on the way to the mountains. Plenty of bike riders and mountain travelers intersect at this tasty restaurant. Comfort food is served here with a smile. :)

Not sure if there are a lot of hikers out there, but I spend a lot of time on weekends up in N. GA trying to find new trailheads to conquer. This is an often visited café on the way back from a hike. You will see mostly hikers, daytrippers and locals in here. It is always crowded so something is right. Now, don’t expect fancy Midtown cuisine. This is comfort food to reenergize after a long hike. I love this place best after a winter hike. Winter hikes are great by the way… for long views from every direction. Anyway, Turners Corner café just seems so warm inside after a long winter hike when your feet may be a bit numb from snow or your cheeks frosty from a stiff cold wind. A bowl of soup or some hot cocoa starts the energy trip and then the meal comes out. Everything on the menu is good, and the service is warm and friendly.
