Was racially profiled while leaving this place, and forced to go back in the venue and prove that I didn’t have a bill(food and/or liquor). I tried to explain to the guy that I didn’t have a bill, but before I knew it I was being asked questions by several workers. I was paraded back in to where my friends were still sitting, and was exonerated once the morons seen I DIDNOT order anything. I am a 46 year old, professional, working man, and under no circumstances would I leave anywhere without paying, but since I fit the description(AA) I was stopped. If this venue is having these problems on an ongoing basis perhaps they should try charging upfront(ALLPATRONS) instead of randomly humiliating honest, hard-working Americans. Stay clear of this crowded, cramped space.

We went to a dinner/show last night. The whole experience was great from the parking to the ticketing to the security to the service at our table. The food was much better than I expected. I would recommend this place for a nice relaxing time out.

Very happy with my experience at the Improv. We attended a valentine’s dinner and show and everything was far beyond expectation. I guess I just assumed the food would be so so, like you would typically get at any comedy club. This was a buffet, and I’m not sure if they had someone cater it, but the food was absolutely wonderful. The staff was great and attentive as well. I even tipped a little over the gratuity that was already on the ticket because of the great service and the waitress came back to ask if I meant to tip that much. Who does that?! Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for an easy night out.

My guy and I were here in March of 2015 to see Carlos Mencia. It was our first time here. I think we got our tickets from Groupon. The location of the Ticket Office should be in a different area and it was crowded. The seating at this venue is horrible and none of the tables face the stage. The seats at the table were cold and hard and you share a table with strangers. We ordered a burger and it was okay. The Greeters and all Customer Service could be improved. The Opening Comedians were funny especially a large black lady whose name I don’t remember and we saw her at another Comedy venue and I told her that she was very funny. Carlos Mencia was hysterical and he did have a Meet-n-Greet. He is worth seeing.

I went several times in the Spring. You can get deals on shows in coupon books, buy one get one free shows and meals in entertainment book and all around town to put in more savings. The shows are always very entertaining and the dinner is good service. We always get a good seat in the crowd. I also recently won a drawing for a free upcoming show for up to four people so make sure to sign those cards they draw all year long! The full bar is outside the improve arena but you can dine during the show.

My husband and I have come here over a dozen times so can give this venue a true 5 star rating. The acts are always interesting and the crowd is diverse and fun. Service is always excellent! The menu has good variety and food and drinks are generous, tasty and reasonably priced. If you leave your attitude at home, you will have a great time!

Went to see the Shawn and Marlon Wayans. Stood around in line like cold war Russians waiting for toilet paper. Seating was terrible, uncomfortable, angled away from the stage, and shared with strangers. I’m never going back here.

We have gone to the improv several times only because is certain acts. At best the service is acceptable. The good is over priced and not worth what it’s priced at. The service has anyways been poor, they have a way to make you feel uncomfortable asking for items like refills. At times you can go 20 – 30 minutes without a beverage. The seating tend to be poor as there are lot if support beams within the showroom. The bar outside in the waiting area is impossible to get a drink and when they S&I see a you it’s with Ian attitude. The tickets prices are much higher than what you would pay at other clubs. Regardless if the entertainers headlining. We will not be returning again. 4 strikes and your out. Be cautious when choosing this for your evening out. And I did ask to speak to a manager and was told they were unable to find one. Awesome way to make an upset guest even more upset. We actually almost walked out before the show even started. Really sad the improv used to be such s classy place and not it’s dirty and poorly managed.

Every show I go to see at the Improv is worth the trip. You can go see well known comics for a decent price and not so well known ones on the cheaper side. Ever seat in the theater is pretty much a good one and they do offer a dinner menu and cocktail menu. The food menu doesn’t have much variety and is overpriced for the quality of food you get. You can get a nice cocktail like the cocaine lady but skip the daiquiri’s to avoid disappointment. Tip: Fill out the info sheets that is on the table. It gets you on their email list for specials and you may even get the call for free tickets for you and 7 friends.

First time here was for Mike Polk’s NYE show, and to cut to the chase, it was a nice time! BUTTTTTTT some things could have gone smoother, and hopefully they will for you future patrons! First things first, even though the little ticket you buy online and print out at home has a barcode on it, that does NOT get you in. Don’t get in line with everyone else to enter the show. You have to go to the ticket window in the entrance/lobby, hand them your print out, and then you’ll get a receipt with a table # on it. We read our printed-at-home-non-ticket first, so we knew this. But, we did have to stand behind others in line who didn’t know this, who of course were complaining that no where did it say that… i wanted to correct them, but i kept my mouth shut like a polite person should. Second, i’d save yourself the trouble and order whatever drinks you want from the bar in the lobby and just bring them in with you. like all 3 of them. Why? Well because, you have to close your tab out from there first anyways even if you do want to order from inside, and then our server turned out to be a little bit of a mess, and never brought us the drinks we ordered. When she finally did come back and i reminded her, she said the kitchen was closed. I tried to explain how thats not cool, we had ordered before it was closed, but that was all lost on her and then my fiancé told me to drop it. So I sat there bitterly watching other servers come out of the kitchen with trays full of drinks. Guess it wasn’t totally closed? Finally, there were 2 opening acts that I would LOVE to get more info on, and possibly go see again somewhere, but I can’t find their names anywhere! One guy said his name on stage a couple times, but honestly it was hard to hear over his applause, and unfortunately the openers aren’t listed on the improv’s event calender, on the event page, or on the improv’s facebook page. Sorry opening acts!

–As long as the comedy is good, you CANNOT go wrong at The Improv. Strong drinks, and great food will have you always wanting to come back for more.

Great food, great drinks. Plan on spending at least $ 20 for something to eat and a drink… plus there’s added gratuity to your check automatically which sucks. They aways give out free tickets so make sure you fill out the card on your table.

The entertainment is always great.(Must be 21+ years) The venue is in the flats, so there is nothing surrounding at all, besides 2 bars and a strip club. The city view from inside the Improv is nice. I highly recommend filling out the card for a chance to win free tickets… chances are, you WILL win a set of 8-free tickets. I’ve gone three times, and each has been with one of my friends who have won. Food is pretty good, but the prices are pretty high for the quality. Drinks are also outrageously high. Ordered a simple mixed drink and it was $ 14! I couldn’t believe it. Plan on spending a decent amount of $$$$ if you are purchasing tickets + getting food & drinks.

Absolutely loved the experience I had here! My husband and I went for our first wedding anniversary so we made dinner reservations. I had the salmon, which was amazing! The Cosmo was a little pricey at $ 12 but it did have Grey Goose in it so I’m not complaining! We had front row seats, my knee was literally against the stage! The comedians are top notch, well known and very willing to include audience members. My husband got pulled up on stage! I will definitely be going back!

I love when places give things out for free. Awesome way to promote your business and it makes people happy of course. I won 8 tickets to see Pablo Francisco here the other day, very cool. Although it left me thinking about how I didn’t have 8 people to bring, but that’s besides the point. Anyways, I was super excited about the whole thing and my five guests and I more than made up for our tickets with booze purchases. The venue is small but not lacking in style. Great stage that really let’s people get up close to the action. I love the colors and lights that accent as well. Let me tell you, that bartender must have had a twitchy arm when making my drink because it was stronger than everyone at my tables put together. Whew! Who doesn’t like a strong drink when paying $ 9? Pumped! The service was awesome. I didn’t get a cherry in my drink and after making a joke about stealing someone else’s, the waitress brought me my own cup full! She knows how to please guests! Honestly my only complaint was the chairs. Super hard. When you’re sitting there for two hours, your ass can flatten. Butt bone on a hard, flat surface is no fun. I will be returning again for more laughs!

I have always loved the cleveland Imrov. I recently visited the new venue and was happy with the new place. It looked better than the old one. The show room was bigger, the seating wasnt so close together like it was at the old location. Never have a bad time here at the Improv. I will be back soon.

The New Cleveland Improv is the best comedy club in the city and one of the best comedy chains. Great club. Great food. Great staff. Great laughs.

I met up with a friend and couple of women from her book club to see a free show. I had no idea Improv moved. The new place is way better than the old. Since I was the late one, we had to sit right up front. Fortunately the comedians were kind and didn’t pick on us. I’m starting to think maybe some comedians do that because they have no other jokes to tell; the ones we saw, Nelson and Jeff Blanchard were very funny. Both are from Cleveland and they delivered some original hometown jokes. I don’t remember the waitress but she was very good and efficient. I had the bleu cheese burger which was pretty tasty for club food.

I have been to the Improv more times then I can count. I have never been to a show that was bad, all their comedians here are pretty good. The location is nice, huge bar, plenty of tables, lots of menu items and drink options. I just think the seats should be way more comfortable. They really are a bad choice. They expanded their menu and now have all kinds of entrees. I wouldn’t mind trying one, but the tables are too small. I had the mozzarella sticks and they were just gross. However, those sweet potato fries are addicting and a must have every time I visit. Also, the strawberry daiquiri with whipped cream is better than desert. The staff could do a better job(or management) of handling those hecklers and weird customers. Great place for a date, dress to impress people.
