Drive down creepy Clark Avenue, head south on West 71^st for a few hundred feet and there stands some old school Cleveland. Hillson Nuts, one of, if not the last local nut houses in Cleveland. The big boys aka «King Nut» have bought up all of the other mom and pops such as Peterson’s, but boy am I glad that Hillsons is still around. The waiting area offers a cool view of the roasting area, and has a lot of Hillson memorabilia as the place has been in business since 1935. All of their stuff is fresh and delicious. Very reasonable pricing for what you get. Getting there is an adventure as well. Just don’t drive with the top down.

You will not be disappointed in the quality of the product here. They haven’t had a salesperson in 23 years, need I say more? The nuts are all made by hand using the highest quality ingredients you can find. The recipe has never changed, it has been the same for 76 years! No short cuts here. The customers have been with them since the 50’s and now their families all come here. The neighborhood might be a little sketchy but don’t let that stop you!
