excellent service, great technique, cut off just a little too much though

This was the only salon around that actually takes walk ins. All the other salons say they do but usually they make you make an appointment to come back later. It was very frustrating for me because I needed a quick fix and was on a very tight schedule.
When I walked in, the ladies there were very nice and welcomed me. I just wanted a haircut and it was $ 20, which was exactly my budget. The place was very clean and it looked nice.
One of the ladies, Janelle was the one to cut my hair and she was really friendly. She took a while to cut my hair but it was because she was trying to make sure I was completely satisfied… and I was. I’m very happy with my hair and this was the best side bang cut I was ever given! I’m usually not super happy with my bangs at other places but now I’m very proud to show them off.
What I really appreciated though was the way they dealt with my friends. I had a group of three come along with me and I’m sorry to say they were a little embarrassing and fussy about getting drinks. The ladies dealt with them very professionally and happily and got them all what they wanted even though they weren’t the ones getting cuts. They even talked to all of them so I had a pretty good time!
Overall I’m very happy with this place!

I walk by this place every day on my way home from school without stopping. For once, I decided to live on the wild side and get a haircut. The hairdressers were outside talking and I stopped and asked them how much a haircut would be. Lucky for me there is actually a special on Monday and Wednesdays for students, so it was a couple bucks cheaper. They were helpful and very encouraging about the entire process. They even asked if I was going to cry because I was getting eleven inches off to donate. I have incredibly thick, long, and silky hair so I’m a bit wary when new hairdressers cut my hair. They talked me into the cut as well as were willing to help donate it to locks for love for me. Huge fan, great location, great service. I would go here in a heartbeat. Great for students and even better on Mondays and Wednesdays. Reasons why this place was a huge hit for me?
1. They would send my hair so I didn’t have to go through the hassle
2. Talked to me the entire time and had a great conversation with the owner
3. The atmosphere was bright and cheery
4. 11 inches off and I’m still a happy camper

i like this place. good price for students, men’s cut w/​wash was like $ 16 or something, $ 20 with tip.
i dont really understand the complaint about the ‘no coffee or anything’…just walk across the street and get one from algebra. i also kind of have this thing though of not understanding the pleasures of eating or drinking right before getting my hair cut, unless it’s alcohol. don’t want hair all up in my mouth.
debbie is good, she’s talks to you like a concerned mom, it’s comforting.

Did a walk in today to try the salon. It’s certainly not the spa I’m used to. No offering of coffee or anything though they are sitting there and was offered to the old lady getting her hair done. Only one person was there, Debbie. Now the hair cut was ok. U can’t ask me how I want my hair cut, look at one picture and know how to do it. I should have know at that moment to just wait until my stylist at Zen was available. My hair was not styled in the same way as the picture I showed her. It ended up much much longer, it was hard to tell how short she had cut the sides so my hair is actually shorter on one side of my head than the other! This is why I hate when they use electric clippers. Now I have to go to my stylist to have them straighten out this mess.
**Long story short if u want a BASIC guys haircut done carelessly in a rush and don’t care what it looks like then this is still an over priced alternative. Go to the barber school down the road to get a cheaper and better cut. **

Got a haircut here today from Debbie. I like a men’s haircut with a little flair. They did a good job. It’s difficult because im very particular, they did a good job would recommend going here. They also shampoo your hair if that’s important to you

They give a good men’s cut ($ 18). They have jelly beans, cookies, and coffee available for you when you arrive to pass the time. The workers were friendly, and there was a nice atmosphere there. The one possible problem is that they spent most of my cut talking amongst themselves. While that’s not a problem for me, others might not like is so much. I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours of when I called.
