I wish there was a 0(zero) rating available in your ratings system because that is exactly what I would give this business. I was a recent visitor to Florida from the Northeast and while staying with friends in the area I accidentally dropped my iPad and cracked the digitalizer. Since I was leaving in a few days and needed my device for business purposes, my friend(after some research) and I decided to drop it off to replace the screen at Clermont Computers and Repairs. What an enormous mistake!!! The iPad was fully functional even with the digital screen being cracked and they promised that they would have it fixed in a few hours. This was a Monday and I was leaving for NY on Thursday. They called and asked if we had a white screen previously even though they turned it on before taking it apart and knew that it was functional(a white screen would mean that it was damaged beyond the digital screen), so this was clearly not the case). Then they said that somehow in the process of the device being taken apart the LCd screen was damaged and they ordered a new one to arrive by Tuesday(expedited). We waited again. On Tuesday they stated that the screen did not arrive on the Ups truck even though they claimed that they paid 37 dollars to have next day delivery., thus blaming the slow postal service. Wednesday comes and my friend calls them again and explains to them for the up tenth time that I will be leaving the state the next day and would appreciate my iPad being repaired. My friend is British and a business CEO and has experience with dealing with a variety of personalities. He was very polite and cordial on the phone; however the owner’s «mother», who answered the phone was irate and hung up on him, accusing him of calling her a liar. At this point we are baffled and decide to both go there in person. We are greeted by this same woman, Carol who starts to scream and accuse my friend again when we demanded to speak to the owner. To make a long story short, another individual who is not the owner comes out, hands us the iPad(now completely taken apart and useless and demands that we leave the premises). We tried to reason with them to no avail; to cap off this customer service nightmare, a third owner?/family member?, lumbers out, tells us he is the easy going one of the bunch and threatens to calls the police. At this point we decide to leave and report them to the Better Business Bureau. I have been dealing with clients and customers for 20 yearsin the U.S. as well as internationally and while encountering a number of difficult people, I have never seen such behavior in any type of business. Clearly these people are not fit to run any sort of enterprise since they are disrespectful, dishonest and down right rude. I am only out of an iPad but make no mistake they will be reported to the Better Business Bureau. I rarely write reviews but I feel that local residents should be aware of these unscrupulous people who have made my otherwise pleasant visit to the Orlando area quite stressful.
