I hired Joey to do a family shoot for me. Three generations – my sister and me, my mom, my 93 year old grandmother – and she made us all look lovely! I appreciated her enthusiasm, how she made us smile and laugh, even though we were a bit uncomfortable and not used to posing. She also captured some really great candids, including one of my mom and grandma that I have framed now and will always treasure. She was really responsive about editing the photos using black and white and sepia to catch different tones. And, her price is crazy reasonable. I highly recommend Joey Paynter Photography!!!

Joey did a pre-​engagement shoot for us as well as captured our engagement! I brought her along in a helicopter ride where I proposed to my fiancé over Newport Beach! I had a friend write, «Will you marry me?» in the sand. We flew over and she captured the moments of me asking as well as the words in the sand! She also did a shoot on the tarmac for us that was awesome! Joey is great at capturing special moments!

My family and I had our Christmas pics taken by Joey. we have two small children: 1 and 3 year old, so you can imagine how hard it can be getting good shots of everyone. When we got our pics back we were blown away with them! Amazing amazing amazing! I couldn’t believe all the nuances of each of our children she was able to catch. Her editting made us look even better than real life :) She is the greatest deal in Orange County. I’ve been telling all of my friends to book a session with her immediately!

Joey captured the most amazing dance stills of an improvised piece I recently performed. I have never had anyone photograph a moment and backdrop the way that Joey did when she worked for me. The background, the light, the poses, and the emotion of the moments were all so vividly captured. I would highly recommend Joey for any photo shoot! She is fantastic! I hope I have the opportunity to hire her again soon!
