Great casual place to come for a good meal. I brought 2 of my kids here Sunday afternoon and the total bill was $ 23.00. I spend close to that at a fast food place and don’t get near the quality of food. I had the Greek chicken salad which was very good. Kids had burgers and fries, also very good. Despite being very busy the service was fast, courteous and no pressure. They also have an ice cream bar that looked amazing but we did not get anything, perhaps the next visit. I saw waitresses bringing out burgers all the time and they looked great as well as a waffle ice cream cone that passed by. I was tempted to swipe it but thought again when I realized I might have a hard time explaining to my kids why I stole someone else’s ice cream.

We were in town for a soccer tournament and tried this place based on the recommendation of a family member. Great food, even better service!(Wish i could remember our server’s name, she was fantastic!)Everything is made fresh. Loved the chicken souvlaki(family recipe). Burgers were tasty! Can’t think of one negative thing to say. Wish we had one where we lived. Homemade ice cream was a hit! Great family restaurant after the kids’ soccer games.

Its a return to the fifties on the interior. The waitress was way past helpfull. We couldn’t see the chalkboard specials menu so she took time to read the whole thing to us and answer any questions. I ordered a black bean burger. Vegiburgers are a toughie for most restaurants that don’t specialize in vegetarian. The burger was perfect and topped with guacamole. My wife ordered Philadelphia Chile. A rare find in the south. She loved it. The ice cream is home made and very good.

I love this place and have eaten here regularly for years now. The pita chips are great and a must have when dining here. Great salads, subs, and pitas. I’m a fan of the gyro and chicken philly. Like any restaurant they can have an off day, which is what I assume lead to the hand full of less than stellar reviews. Don’t let that deter you, this is a fantastic eatery.

I first heard of Time To Eat about ten years ago while at summer camp in the Triad area. One of the campers was talking about it… when I first passed by the restaurant after moving to Winston this year, I remembered it from back then! It took me a while to finally come in and try this place but I’m glad I did. It’s very vintage inside and I absolutely love anything retro, so this was a huge plus. I got take-out and it was prepared super fast. The lady at the counter is the main reason this place is five stars. As you all can see, I use my five star reviews sparingly unless something stands out. In this case it was the service. She gave me pointers on what the best things for vegetarians are on the menu and told me she uses Morningstar patties. She also offered ketchup, napkins and whatever else I needed which is sometimes a rarity at restaurants. So many times when I’ve ordered take-out elsewhere, I’ve realized I didn’t ask for a fork/napkins, whatever. You can tell that the staff here really cares about your experience even if you aren’t dining in. I use a lot of ketchup. This is honestly the first time I’ve been given enough ketchup and still have some left over after eating my fries! A little hospitality goes a long way! The food itself was excellent too. I’m going to try more of the veggie burgers. It is a bit pricy, but the food and service makes up for that!

They had a 5 star burger, we told all of our friends how good it was but not now. Originally it had like fresh baked buns /softest I’ve ever had & juicy angus meat, well not now. It’s like a typical diner burger /bland instead of super good. Different buns, doesn’t seem like angus anymore either although the burger is bigger than it was. It was where we went for a great burger. Now we won’t go back; steak & shake got it going on. Why do they mess with it?(cost-profit) I suppose.

This place is really fun. It was a lot more casual than I’d expected(which was a plus with 5 kids!). The food was also better than I’d expected. The prices are moderate, too. The burgers are tasty, though I do wish there was more meat on them. We had the Greek burger with no regrets though. The salads are tasty too. The taco salad(I can’t remember the menu name) really was fantastic. I will be getting that one again. Our waitress was really friendly, too. This place is close to home and is open usually until 10pm, which means it’s open when a lot of other places are not. Sometimes we want tasty takeout, but don’t want to share with the little ones. So, we wait until after they are in bed, and then we get whatever the heck we want. Thank you«Time to Eat» for making it time to eat when everywhere else says it’s time for bed.

Always a great place to bring kids. Their burgers are really good and they have the best desserts! Homemade ice cream is yummy and the brownies are scrumptious.

This was our first visit and from the meals/desserts we had, we will be coming back. I had the Angus Philly Cheese steak and it had a bounty of steak, cheese, onions and bell peppers. The bun held up to all the beef. It was a delicious lunch. My fiancé had the French Dip Cheese steak and she said it was very flavorful. For dessert I had the Baklava Sundae. It was loaded with Baklava toppings(caramel sauce and pecans) and vanilla ice cream. It was a complement to the meal. My fiancé had the Birthday Cake Sundae and she loved it. We will be frequent customers. I’m an instant fan and our waitress was friendly and attentive. It was a 4-star experience for me.

After recommendations from several friends I decided to try this local favorite! When I walked in I love the atmosphere, very family friendly but also cute for casual dates, decorated in a very classic diner style! Love the stool seatings in the front! I agree with many of the other reviews– my waitress wasn’t the best, never checking in after the food was delivered(something I think is just common curtesy) and was hard to flag down, it seemed they were a little understaffed since only 3 of them were serving a lot of other people. The food was ok– good but nothing crave worthy or enough for the prices. The ice cream on the other hand was awesome. They should just change this whole place into an ice cream parlor, yum I would go everyday! My total bill(burger and fries and small icecream, no drink) was $ 17 with tip

First visit. Quite a favorable impression. Brick and exposed beams for décor. Fairly standard menu, burgers, wings, sandwiches, salads. Execution of same made it a cut above the rest! My husband’s BLT was overflowing with crispy bacon – delish! My Greek gyro was full of lamb/beef and the pita was very fresh. Each sandwich comes with a side and when I asked for a green salad, there was no extra charge. We were too full for any of the handmade ice cream, but Monica, our adorable server, brought us a «sample» of baklava ice cream. Wow! We’re saving room for dessert next trip!
