Fish Tacos and Mashed Cauliflower are the reason I come here and to finish of the meal I would not leave without having the key lime pie(the best ever hands down)!

Amazing atmosphere, tasty food that looks so good you don’t want to eat it, and good wait time! Fish tacos were good, but the grilled chicken caprese was even better. Drinks were good too.

The lunch was decent. The atmosphere seemed a bit dark for lunch, but that’s not bad. I just wasn’t expecting it to be so dark inside and«woodsy». The food tasted fresh and well prepared.

Grillsmith hits the spot when I’m looking for a more typical American-style dinner with protein, starch, and veggies. They have good entrée options with chicken, steak, and fish. Their mashed cauliflower is my favorite side and they cook their veggies just right. You can also find good sandwiches and burgers here and there are a couple of options on how to dress them. They have good happy hour options and they bring out the most delicious seasoned bread while you are waiting on your main dish. Service here has always been good and the air staff is attentive. It can be tricky to get in on a weekend at dinner time and there may be a wait.

We had a fantastic meal last night with another couple. Service– excellent Atmosphere– trendy, clean, comfortable Price– very reasonable. Steaks were more expensive. Wine– $ 15 corkage fee for our own bottle. Not bad. Food– was fantastic. My wife had a «Fitness plate» of grilled chicken w Caprese Salad. Delicious and healthy. I got the LemonFeta Chicken and it was delicious. The big surprise was the mashed cauliflower. Soooo good! Our friends got ribs, Napa Salad and Filet Egg Rolls which they reported as wonderful. They do have a bar area and lots of specials. We will be back!

Update! I was going to get a steak or a burger like I normally do, both done really well here, but we did appetizers and cocktails this last weekend instead of entrees just to mix it up. I think I should have stuck with my original plan. The Ahi Tuna and the Thai Shrimp were really good. I’ll get those again. The rest of this is based on my palate, so others might get different mileage; I just have a difficult time eating a lot of calories and not getting a lot of flavor out of it these days. I eat here just about every month, and will not stop going unless they start blundering my main dishes. The Voodoo Cheese Fries were ok, but they could use more, something. The sour cream they served with it really didn’t do anything as the dish did not have enough flavor or spice for it to really make any kind of contrast. I feel they could do better. We were really disappointed with our flatbread. The flavors of the toppings were completely lost to the bread and as a result the dish was very bland. The bread is too thick for the flavors they are presenting on top of it.

Well the proverbial new broom only swept clean once with this place. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because of the Crunchy Ahi Tuna & Caribbean Pumpkin Crab Bisque, it all went down hill from there. The 8oz Scampi Filet with shrimp that I ordered Philadelphia Blue again, I was then told they do not do a true Philadelphia Blue so I was either lied to last time or this time… WTH! I can tell you this, my $ 31.00 fillet was extra rare yes but the flat iron that they cooked it on was either not cleaned well or they had it way too hot. I had to trim off the outer layer of burnt«NOTSEARED» off so I could stomach it. My wife ordered a steak cooked on the flat iron but medium… Needless to say it got sent back twice because both times they wear burnt grill lines which leaves a bad charred taste in your mouth. So she only got her appetizer to eat. Now onto my son and his girlfriends steaks lets just say they ordered the same cut my son got his like mine and his girlfriend got her medium and from the grill… Hers was rarer than his was. Not sure what happened in 3 months at this place, but I can tell you it was not the way I wanted my mothers & I birthday dinner to go. More than likely will not go out of my way to come back to this place.

Sat at the bar for drinks and appetizers during happy hour. The bartender greeted us quickly and cheerfully. He pointed out the happy hour specials and we ordered a wine and martini. Their happy hour grey goose dirty martini was only $ 6 with Bleu cheese olives. Awesome! My friend ordered a meal to go and it was prepared quickly and packaged very well. Our bartender remained attentive throughout the meal without being overbearing and was quick to join in our conversation when appropriate. A new go to spot for happy hours!

Dined here on 12−13−14… We opted to sit outside which was the right choice given the fact that the dining room was very crowded. perhaps we were seated in the middle of a shift change because it took almost 10 minutes for someone to realize that we hadn’t been served. I had to asked a busboy to get our server. We ordered a bottle of wine, the tuna appetizer, and two medium rare grilled salmons from the«fit» menu. Our fish came back well done. No big deal the manager quickly brought us are properly cooked salmon plusextra side veggies. I was already good girl and ate all my veggies so we ended up bringing those home

Went here for lunch. I’d give it 2 stars for being so meh but they didn’t really do anything horrible except be mediocre so I will just write about how meh it was. Perhaps it’s better for dinner? I doubt I will find out. Ordered the BBQ Ranch turkey wrap with seasonal vegs — okay, but nothing memorable. BF ordered the meatloaf sandwich — okay, but nothing memorable. Friends ordered totally unmemorable items. Meh… who cares. The breadsticks were alright, that is a thing. And our server was very friendly and efficient so that is a thing too. Felt like every other casual restaurant chain that tries to look a little more upscale but it’s the same lunch that you can get at BJ’s or Applebee’s or Chili’s or [insert another boring chain] at a higher price. MEH. Who cares.

When looking for a steakhouse in the range of Outback, Longhorn, etc. just take the Grillsmith. We’ve been positively surprised. Excellent steak(filet mignon) with crisp fresh vegetables, and a Grillsmith burger, pink at the heart. Delicious! The dessert was a crème brûlée — very good! Smart and friendly service. If only the air condition wouldn’t blow so cold i would rate the Grillsmith in Clearwater with 5 stars.

We only had dessert here. It want very good. We had the brownie parfait. The 6 tiny pieces of brownie were okay but the chocolate mousse and whipped cream were flavorless. The whipped cream was not sweetened at all. And the chocolate mousse didn’t even taste chocolaty.

This is a well rounded place. Friendly & very accommodating. Friendly hostess opening the door for you upon entry. There was only 3 in our party so they took us to a 4 chair table first and I saw a big booth that seats 6 so I asked if we could sit there so we could have a little room and they said go right ahead! We started with an appetizer of the Filet Tip Egg Rolls, they were not my favorite. I won’t be getting them again but everything else was amazing. I had a cup of the Caribbean Pumpkin Crab Bisque and it is amazing! I get this every time I come. For the entrée I got the 6oz Filet Mignon with the Port Wine Reduction Sauce and my sides were Au Gratin Potatoes and Snow Peas. This filet is awesome, especially with these sides. Snow Peas are not on the menu but they can normally make it a side because they use it for a different dish. Again very accommodating. You get good quality food for excellent prices. My other favorite entrée to get is the Asian Chicken. It is normally a little spicy but very flavorful!

I was really craving steak, so we decided to go to a Grillsmith. And it hit so many spots. The steak was cooked perfectly and it was very tender. The service was great, very nice. It’s a great alternative to the generic steak places like Outback. I will definetly go back again.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good our meal was last night! We sat outside which was really cozy despite overlooking a busy parking lot. Our server was very friendly and took care of my many requests! I ordered the mixed grill with salmon and filet. I asked for the Mediterranean topping on my salmon, and I’m so glad I did. It is a creamy feta sauce with artichokes and sun dried tomatoes. It’s $ 2 extra but totally worth it. My steak was also very good. I ordered medium rare, and it was actually medium rare. Anytime the cook is right, I’m happy. I choose spinach as my side which was garlicky and not loaded with oil. My boyfriend got the chicken asian noodles, extra spicy. His dish was also great. I can’t believe I never ate dinner here before. I’m looking forward to coming back for happy hour.

Upgrade on Outback! The appetizers were amazing. The steak was perfect and the sides were delicious. Wish it was closer to home. Great spot to hang out after work or for a date to impress. Prices were extremely reasonable and the full bar makes finding the right drink a snap. Happy hour deals are great, too.

Grillsmith is our go-to when we can’t think of what to eat. I like Grillsmith especially during its happy hour(4−7pm) where 6 appetizers are $ 5 – 7, you can build your own martini for $ 5, a bunch of wines are $ 3.50−4, half-priced cocktails, and beers on draft are $ 2.50−4.25. On a typical dining experience my bf and I usually sit at the bar or at one of the tables in the bar area, and sometimes we’d sit out on the patio overlooking other stores and a parking lot in the shopping plaza. I usually get the Chimichurri with veggies for sides and my bf gets some sort of fish, most times Oak Barrel Salmon with various sides. We eat here about once a month so in toal we’ve tried: Caribbean Pumpkin Crab Bisque, Spicy Thai Chicken, Spicy Thai Shrimp, Bourbon Salmon Salad, Wild Mushroom Meatloaf, Asian Chicken, Chicken Stoli Ravioli, Pork Chop Marsala, Oak Barrel Salmon, and a few Specials of the Day. For sides we’ve tried them all and for desserts we’ve only ever had the Grand Mariner Crème Brulee. Out of all the dishes I’ve had, I enjoyed most the Chimichurri Steak, then the Pork Chop Marsala. My bf is more of a fish person so the dish he enjoyed most was a Special of the Day dish he had once, I believe it was Salmon Oscar. The dish I enjoyed least(in fact, we were just here yesterday and it was my first time ordering it) is the Wild Mushroom Meatloaf. I don’t have much experience in eating meatloaf, but I imagined the texture to be somewhat like hamburger meat, but it’s not. The meat seems to be ground finer therefore mushier. The mushroom taste is evident and the Marsala sauce poured on top is decadent. I love the sauce on Pork Chop Marsala, but for some reason I don’t like it quite that much on this dish. I think the meatloaf is already rich and the sauce is only making it richer. I ate only ¼ of the dish at the restaurant and took the rest home. Having said all that, the meatloaf was delicious with white plain rice when I had it for lunch today! The rice cuts down the richness of the dish making it perfect for my taste. Regardless of which entrees we decided on, we always get the Caribbean Pumpkin Crab Bisque. I’ve never had this soup anywhere else, but I can guarantee that Grillsmith does it best. It’s super creamy with strong pumpkin and curry flavors, lumps of crab, shaved almond, and the dollop of cream rounds out the dish. I’d say Grillsmith is somewhere between casual and fine dining. The décor, level of service, and prices reflect that. We’ve never had bad service here. Definitely check it out anytime of the day, especially during happy hour.

I went here for dinner last night on a whim for a nice and relaxing mid-week dinner. We arrived around 7PM and were seated in a comfy booth right away. We noticed the happy hour specials, which is $ 5 martinis, half price liquor drinks, and $ 2 – 3 beer and wine as well as $ 5 – 6 apps. Of course, we decided to indulge. Normally happy hour only runs til 7PM, but on Wednesday night it goes until 10, so we were in luck! We started off with the spicy thai shrimp app. It was super tasty and a decent amount of food. The sauce was delicious. Then we had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. We asked to split the dish, they brought it out on 2 plates and it was a perfect size for both of us. A great touch. The Marsala gravy sauce on top was absolutely fabulous! Overall the service was quite slow and it took us an hour and a half to get out of there, but on the bright side the nice environment made it enjoyable and our server was pleasant. I highly recommend checking this place out.
