I tried FWJ recently with a few friends for brunch. The food was very good — I ordered the salmon and egg croissant. I had asked for over easy eggs, and one was close to over hard and the other over medium, but both the flavor and quality of ingredients was great. I also tried a bite of my friend’s orange caramel crêpe, and it was delicious. The décor is a bit hodgepodge and doesn’t match a ‘French bistro’ feel, but overall, I definitely plan on coming back.

The croissants are delicious and huge. I got the breakfast sandwich and it was so amazing. Filling and perfectly cooked. Coffee is mediocre and tea is ok. The service was decent but not outstanding. However, the food is 5 stars. Everything else is 4.

Let me preface with the fact that I’m a retired chef, a major Foody and snob when it comes to all things food. Jerome is an artist with his breakfasts and pastries. His croissants, all of them, are delicious, his pastries devine, and his scrambled eggs are second to none. Truly well-prepared food is often not found in this country anymore. Food drowned in chemical-laden sauces made to fool your brain into thinking things taste good, microwaved frozen food and boil-in bag chain meals are the rule of the day. So let me say how truly refreshing it is to eat such well-made real food. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the service. While everyone is friendly, they aren’t very attentive or well-trained. We have been trying new breakfast places recently and flying with Jerome with their high reviews were one of the options. A lot of highly reviewed places have disappointed us recently but Flying with Jerome definitely deserves it’s high ratings. First of all I’ll like to point out that the food is quite affordable and delicious. It’s definitely not a $$ but a $ restaurant as the cheapest sandwiches are quite inexpensive and filling. We got a breakfast sandwich, perfect eggs croissant, mushroom and goat cheese quiche(one of the best quiches I’ve ever had), and finished off with a chocolate eclaire. Service was nice as well. The only request I’ll have is that if the cream for the coffee is fresh rather than in mini single containers, it’ll complete the whole experience.

Have to say the reviews were true! I had the scrambled eggs and opted for the salmon instead of bacon, My breakfast partner had the ham and Swiss crêpe. Both were delicious and filling. The atmosphere is a bistro and very clean. Service was nice and attentive. Definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Looking for something new for breakfast but lite and tasty so we tried this new spot… Located at the corner of Belcher and Nursery Road in Clearwater is a hidden gem with authentic European bistro. Jérôme the owner is truly a French master baker and chef with amazing croissants, tarts, and pastries of all types made fresh in house daily, as well as proper bistro meals. Excellent omelettes, crepes, sauces, salads, entrees, wines and European coffee. Great prices. The staff are all amazing with OUTSTANDING customer service. Amanda is truly a ball of life and fun. This isn’t «Frenchish» cuisine… it’s the real thing. Jérôme truly has the passion for the art of pastries. The menu is inventive and the food is always fresh. INDULGEYOURSENSESWITHAMAZINGFOODANDPASTRIES at Flying with Jérôme. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend to all my friends!!!

This place is one of my favorites. I love their Bacon egg cheese spinach croissants. Comes with an order of French fries. The croissant is massive in size. Everything is full of flavor. The only downside would be the price. It is roughly $ 10 – 11 for it however, I feel it is worth based on flavor and satisfaction. I find myself keep coming back for more. Jerome even has started to remember my order after a few time of visiting which is always a good thing when you visit a place. Definitely worth checking out, if unsure can’t go wrong with the breakfast croissants! Best one I have had probably ever.

I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews, but they fell a bit short. The good: I ordered a quiche and it came out piping hot with a filling side salad. The flavor was right and you could tell that the quiche was freshly made. The not so good: my quiche was plated very nicely on a cutting board. It looked great but wasn’t functional. The board was uneven so with every cut I made, it’d wobble or spin around. I got a chocolate croissant to go, and it was like biting in oil. All I tasted was a very very oily croissant. The prices and service are good, if ever I am on this part of town again, I’d consider giving them another shot.

Best crêpe I’ve had in the USA. Also, I could eat the Egg Croissant Every. Single. Day.(Do note that it has raw onions and that isn’t stated on the menu) Café Mocha was also excellent. Very chocolate-y but that’s just how I like it. I just wish this place was closer to my house. Stop and eat here!

Full disclosure, I have only been here to get to go items from the bakery. French pastries are my downfall. Flying with Jerome is my new go to place for croissants in Pinellas County. The restaurant is located in an older strip mall between a laundry mat and a bar with a package store. Location aside, the interior is clean, open and offers booth seating as well as high and low top tables. Because I always have my little one with me, we have used the bathroom which was very clean. Back to the croissants, Flying with Jerome always has on hand plain and chocolate croissants. Biting into the flakey, crunchy outside with soft melt in your mouth insides, their croissants are truly the best. They often have special flavors and varieties too such as Apple or Pear. We have also tried their chocolate eclairs, soft pastry outside with chocolate filling and chocolate glaze — this is way better than any éclair from a chain donut shop. We have also had various fruit tarts, Raspberry, Blueberry, mixed fruit… all very tasty. As often as I have gotten to go, I haven’t yet had time to have a meal here. Soon I will remedy that and I will update my review then. Right now they get 5 stars for the best French pastries in the area.

I was Unilocaling and thought I should try this place. I’m impressed! Ordered french toast, waffles, chocolate croissant and croissant sandwich. Everything was excellent. I like a savory breakfast but wanted to try the French toast. It was nice and moist. Love the strawberry jam it comes with. I think they make it in house. But for the cost I would stick with the breakfast sandwich and pastry. The coffee was great too! Coffee and sandwich will keep u under $ 10. We also ordered the French onion soup. But I still think café de Paris is first on my list. I like the cheese crispy. The soup still had good flavor. I would like to try the cauliflower cream soup next time. Back to the croissant and why everyone has commented why this was great. Really flaky and messy! They must use real butter. I love this type of croissant… you can get this by just toasting it. I have yet to try all the pastry in the case. I can’t wait to try dinner on Friday and sat night. Check this place out! 2÷24÷16 I went to pastry class and was taught how to make croissant, puff pastry, and crepes. My biggest take away… I’ll go to flying with Jerome for my pastry! He taught great technique and that the recipe changes with ur environment. So it’s worth going. I’m glad I went to know that I’ll leave it to the experts to make them. Coffee here is amazing good! I’m talking just about the drip decaf! I drink it black so I need it smooth and not bitter. The cappuccino is also good with the local milk they get. It makes a difference! Lastly, I had a pastry to go… Jerome mentioned to me about the trapazine(?) pasty was good. So I was intrigued to try it. AMAZING! Perfect balance of sweet, crunchy and love the thickness of cream. I want to try the donuts as it’s made from brioche bread but he shapes like a donut so he calls it a donut! Jerome tries to schedule a pastry class at the end of the month on the last Wednesday.

Fresh, Buttery, Fluffy, Crispy and Delicious. That is exactly how I would describe my Sandwich at Flying with Jerome today. From the Crossaint that’s baked in house, to the crisp Bacon, Fresh Spinach & Tomato, and perfectly cooked over medium eggs that dripped with each bite. I’m sorry, but I love that:-) and Real Swiss Cheese. Yes Folks, I said real Swiss because sometimes you go to restaurants that advertise real Swiss In the sandwich and it is not. It’s more like white American(Ghetto) They’re not fooling anybody with that. It was Perfection. My mom agreed, and also loved hers with the Salmon . Last time, I had the Cheese Bread Sandwich. That sandwich is definitely not for the weak cheese eater. It is strong!!! So, if you’re into strong cheeses you will love it. If not, you won’t be able to handle it. It has Bleu Cheese, Parmesan and Brie that will literally drop kick your tastebuds, and it’s also served on. Surprise! Cheese Bread. They also throw yellow raisins to sweeten it a bit, nuts and greens to balance the saltiness of the cheese, with a dab of dressing which I believe is a Vinaigrette of some sort. Again, interesting and tasty sandwich, but not for the weak. I usually like a crispier Crêpe which is not served here. The Crepes here are delicate, kind of like a Swedish pancake, very enjoyable. The Tropical fruit on top made it smell and taste extra delicious, and I loved the cinnamon cream sauce or fruit jam they serve with it. It really made this crêpe unique. I enjoy this place. Everything is made in house with love, using quality ingredients, from all the breads they use for the dishes, the jams, sauces etc. They even use organic eggs, and it’s always a pleasure supporting my local businesses. Next time I fly into town, I will definitely take flight with Jerome again.

Came here for breakfast with my mom, she got a simple eggs, bacon and toast which she loved, I got an egg croissant sandwich with spinach, tomato, bacon and Swiss cheese and it was out of this world. They have a cheese sauce I got on the side and I don’t know what it was but it was good on my sandwich and fries alike! I will absolutely be back to eat here! Coffee drinks are delicious and the pastry selection is incredible!

Excellent food. Don’t usually comment on restaurants, but the French cuisine is so worthwhile, even if you just stop in for a pastry and coffee. Has outdoor Seating during good weather, but indoor has booths and tables. Had the tropiene pastry several times and the croquet sandwich and the mushroom and goat cheese quiche twice. His cream of broccoli soup was fresh and all his foods are freshly made. Attended his pastry class and it was fully attended. The service attendants were quick and knowledgable. He likes to come out of the kitchen and ask how we like the food. You can even see the food preparation from the service counter. Jerome has great quality without being excessively expensive. You can hear the French background in his voice. Try it. You will love it.

I will fly with Jerome any time. You should too! When you have an opportunity to sample real croissants(not the utter crap available at Publix or Panera), brioche, fruit tarts, and anything else Jerome decided to bake, do not hesitate. He only uses the finest ingredients like imported butter. Did you know butter in the US is actually 20% not butter(perhaps the remainder is water…)! In Europe or from a very few specialized small butter producers, you get 86% butterfat butter by default. In other words, more of the butter is actually butter and this difference, combined with other high-quality ingredients and then straight-from-France baking expertise, produces pastries that will simultaneously blow your mind and tantalize your tastebuds. The almond croissant I just finished was beyond delicious and also, huge! The other items we got(sorry, I can’t pronounce them and I didn’t write done what they were) were equally stupendous! They do serve brunch until 3pm and then dinner later in the evening on weekends only. I mention this because if you arrive a little after 3, the kitchen is closed for the changeover and you will need to survive on pastry and espresso alone. Oh, the horror. ;-) We look forward to Flying with Jerome in the future for the amazing brunch menu and then again for dinner!

What a treat it was tonight to fly with Jerome. I had stopped in a couple of times this week to get some of the finest French pastries that I’ve had in a long long time. I had mentioned to Jerome earlier this week that I’d like to stop by for his dinner which is only served on Friday and Saturday night. He told me that on Fridays that they usually are slammed, so my wife and I decided that we’d opt for the Saturday night dinner, it was a great choice. Our server Raglimar or Ragli for short, was very sweet and attentive. She answered all our questions that we had about the menu. We both ordered the onion soup, which we enjoyed very much. Next we shared a caprese salad that was delicious with a pesto vinaigrette drizzled over it. My entrée was fettuccine with a light tomato-based sauce with pieces of chicken, olives, tomatoes, with large slivers of Parmesan cheese melding into it. Very good. My wife’s entrée was seared scallops with a mushroom risotto cream sauce. And here is where it gets a little crazy. My wife is the most critical diner I know of. Nothing seems to please her 100%. Well, not so with this entrée, she said if she could give 10 stars she would! I was able to taste a bit of her entrée, and have to agree that Jerome knocked this entrée out of the park! That’s what I’m having the next time we dine here. We finished our meal with the a delicious crème brûlée and a cappuccino. We are looking forward to our next flight with Jerome!

What a surprise to find this bakery In a somewhat sketch neighborhood! I stopped in the other day To get some fresh baked goods. They have a variety of pastries Many croissants and tarts. They take their baking seriously. It’s like a work of art! They also offer classes So you can make their treats at home. I’d rather let them do it So I’m not eating all alone! They offer breakfast and lunch Including flatbreads and crepes. I drooled over the menu With my mouth agape. I look forward to returning Cuz I see that they serve mussels! Next time I’m craving seafood, Down to Clearwater, I will hustle!

The food at this place was delicious! I had the French onion soup and the Punta Cana salad. The portions were perfect as well as the flavor. Jerome even came by to check on us during our lunch outing. Everyone in my group was very impressed. I’m having a chocolate eclaire now that I got after the meal. It’s sooo good!!! This is my new favorite restaurant in the Clearwater/St. Petersburg area. I’ll definitely be back there soon.

A friend of mine recommended this wonderful new bakery — restaurant… It is just like being in France! The pastries are made with real butter, The pastry cream is like no other we’ve had here in the Tampa area! I felt like I was in Paris! It is a bakery with all homemade fabulous pastries and bread’s. They also serve wonderful breakfast, Lunch, weekend brunches, Friday and Saturday night dinner. The prices are extremely low as the restaurant is extremely casual. But the food will have you recommending this restaurant to all of your friends.

This is an amazing local spot. Definitely French. The food is absolutely perfect. I had the Salmon and Brie omelette with a side of fries. The eggs for the omelette were the lightest I’ve ever had and the combination of the creamy, salty brie complemented the Salmon far more than I would have assumed. Also had to share some of the crepes my companions had. Again, perfect! Light, perfectly cooked and folded with sugar. More than you would expect for it’s location. Get here now and support this local business. This is the type of establishment that remains«under the radar» and people fail to realize how great they are. This is one of those places we need to support and keep in business!

The five star reviews for this cozy French café and bakery caught my attention as I left church seeking breakfast on this Sunday morning in January. The real French chef, baker and proprietor delighted me. He was friendly, welcoming and willing to please along with two very pleasant and knowledgeable female servers. I chose lox and cream cheese on a fresh, melt in your mouth croissant. The chef nicely modified the order to exclude the eggs and instead of a side of fries I enjoyed a cup of genuine French Onion soup. I left room for one of the chef’s many freshly baked desserts, too, a pineapple type tort with almond filling topped off with a cappuccino which brought back my college days studying in Italy. Overall, tres magnifique!

Everyone should climb onboard and begin Flying With Jerome! We stopped by for brunch and were pleasantly surprised. We began our flight at 10:30 on a Saturday morning. We were greeted and seated by our server(Whitney). After a quick review of the menu and hearing the specials of the day, we first opted for some soup. We ordered the Onion Soup and the Cauliflower Soup($ 2.75 each).(see pics) Both were quite good but the standout was the Cauliflower with it’s bright distinctive flavor. For entrées, we ordered the Croque Sandwich($ 10.50) and the Omelette Salmon Brie($ 10.25).(see pics) The Croque sandwich was rich tasty and loaded with ham and cheese. The cheese sauce gave it a velvety texture that was wonderful. The Omelette was chocked full of smoked salmon and a nice wedge of melted brie. Both entrées came with the option of fries or a small salad. GETTHEFRIES! You will not be sorry. Succumbing to our ‘sweet teeth’, we couldn’t leave without getting something from their pastry case.(see pics) We opted for a Chocolate Éclair($ 2.50) and a wedge of Tropezienne($ 3.75). OMG! We are definitely coming back to see Jerome and join him on his flight! We also plan to work our way through his menu. Please stop by for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. Our server was speedy, friendly and informative. You’ll love this place!

Awesome little French café in a neighborhood you would never expect it. Casual style, friendly and welcoming, the café has the best croissants and other French pastries you will find anywhere around here. I had breakfast, an egg croissant with salmon, and it was outstanding. Treat yourself and try this place out.

Who am I to ruin the five star rating of a new business? I am very happy that I stumbled across this place today. It was right around 12:00 pm when I walked in, and only one other table was seated. The place isn’t ginormous, but it does have adequate seating. There’s also a small bakery section displaying their tasty croissants and other delectable items. I was immediately waited upon, and given a few moment to peruse the menu. I decided upon the From the Ocean Flatbread. It came with the choice of a salad or fries. I chose the salad, because my wife only lets me get a couple hundred pounds over weight because she wants a trophy husband or something, who knows. Anyways, after about five minutes my food was presented. The From the Ocean Flatbread came with sour cream, smoked salmon, sauteed shrimp, tomato, and salad. It was great, and surprisingly filling. The service was great, and I was informed that they also do dinner on Friday and Saturday nights, which I intend to try at some point. As I was paying my bill, I was asked if I would like to purchase any croissants to take home… which I did… which I ate… which were delightful. If you’re in the area, I would recommend giving them a try.

So happy to have found this place. The food is fantastic! We love French food and this was right down our alley. My husband ordered their French onion soup to start and he was very impressed. I ordered the egg croissant with salmon and a side of salad. My husband ordered their puff pastry. We were both very pleased with the taste and presentation. We looked at the large display of cakes and pastries, but decided to abstain due to the vivid memory of the New Years resolution. Not sure we’ll be as strong next time… The place is very clean and the staff is patient and friendly. Absolutely in love with this hidden gem and will return for dinner one of these days.

Came here on a Sunday morning. Was greeted by the chef himself. Gave us a seat and a menu. I would have to say the menu was good. Not too many items to choose from. Was very simple and short. Ordered the croissant with egg, spinach, tomatoes with salmon. It came with either fries or a salad. My wife ordered the puff pastries with poach egg, bacon, with the hollandaise sauce and asparagus. When our orders came out, for the portion and display of the plate was just right. We enjoyed our food there. I would come again. Friendly service. It did not take long for us to get our drinks and orders. I recommend this place for those who wants to enjoy a nice cup of coffee and breakfast/brunch.
