OMG! We have finally found the perfect pizza in the Clearwater area — after years of searching! Thank you so much bartender Karen for turning us on to the best pizza we’ve had in a long time. The sauce was a perfect blend and the crust was thin and crispy — just the way we love it! The search is over everyone!!! We will be back here again and again. Next… We try the wings. We’ve already enjoyed the All-Star Platter — a combination of Italian treats — and it was amazing. Thank you Capogna’s Dugout for ending our search. Also… love the claw machines and the nostalgic sports paraphernalia! 5 out of 5 stars!

I love the pizza there. We only eat to go, I have no idea about the service. We have been eating there for 13 years, by far best pizza.

UNSANITARYSERVERS!!! I’ve done 5 star reviews for Capogna’s before but now it’s time to say I have a problem. twice now two different servers have handed me a mug of beer with their fingers across the top of the glass where you place your lips to drink. since they are mugs they have a large handle and should be served holding that. these servers handle money, cleaning cloths, use the restroom and touch other surfaces. on two separate occasions a male server named Christian and a female server with her hair tightly pulled back handed me my mug with their fingers across the top of the glass lip. the first time I told one owner about Christian during trivia night. the second time was yesterday sunday with the female. when she brought the mug I told her, «I can’t drink that. it’s not sanitary. your fingers are where I put my lips». she replied exactly this–«Put your lips on the other side.» I got up and walked out and went to another restaurant down the street. THEOWNERSNEEDTOADDRESSTHISUNSANITARYISSUE. they have an excellent server named Jason who carries the mugs, drink glasses and food dishes properly. he is to commended. you have to ask yourself if these servers are doing something UNSANITARY right in front of you what are they doing back in the kitchen?

Food was really good, service kinda sucked when there wasn’t that many people. I came back again tonight and the servers were not attentive and I ordered at the same time another couple did and waited and extra 20 minutes. I went to the manager nicely and attempted to explain the incident tonight and he cut me off a bunch and made me feel horrible for having a complaint and didn’t let me even explain the situation. The girl server was so rude and everyone noticed. No denying the good food, but the customer service was horrible

Poor service and inexperienced young staff. Waited way too long for food and it wasn’t even that busy. I do not recommend this place!

This place holds a place in my heart forever. It has comforted me through some tough times. I wanted to start having happy memories there so I went with Justin recently. He has heard me talk so much about it. Also, I went through a phase, when we first started dating, of getting their spaghetti with meat sauce to go. I would eat a part of it, and leave the rest for him in the fridge so he could eat it when he got off of work. We both enjoyed it so much! So this was actually my first time dining in, and his first time walking into the place. The sports memorabilia, tablecloths and red booths feel right at home. He said it reminded him of the pizza place he used to work at back in Missouri. We loved our pizza! And the salad was great as well. Just really on fleek. Flavor, texture and everything. My only stipulation… is that somehow my water turned out to be an unsweetened tea. But hey, why not? And then, when Justin tried to get his diet Coke refilled, he was asked, «Unsweet?» To which he responded, «Diet». Oops. But not a deal breaker. Just a sign of a busy night at a neighborhood favorite. Oh, we will be back!

One of my favorites. Great Happy Hour — cold beer, frosted mugs. The servers have all been there a long time and know how to provide excellent customer service. Trivia Tuesdays are popular and can be difficult to find a seat. Nightly specials for food. If you like salads, you must try the Barside Salad — it’s a meal and quite tasty.

Every year for 12 years we go to Clearwater for Spring Training. And EVERY year we look forward to Capogna’s. The friendliest bartenders and the BEST pizza!!! It has never disappointed. The only disappointment is that we can only go one week out of the entire year!

The pizza is the best around in my opinion if you ask for the thin crust. The Friday special is a great deal $ 22.99 for large two topping pizza a pitcher of beer($ 19.99 for soda) with an appetizer or two salads or soups.

Absolutely fantastic! We ordered the $ 3.99 Spaghetti special, side of meatballs and hot wings… was pleasantly surprised with the Italian food. The meatballs and sauce were fabulous! Everything we ordered was delicious. We will definitely be back again!

35 years I’ve been coming here while visiting home and it’s still awesome! Best pizza ever. Friendly staff. Awesome sports memorabilia covering the walls. Capogna’s was great when I first started going there in 9th grade and it’s still great!

Best wings I’ve had in a long time. Came here months ago and the wings were enormous but the hot wasn’t hot by any means. Too sweet and it was gross. Decided to give it another try just based off size and the wings are amazing. Great flavor with a little kick(hot.) They give you all dummies too. Ranch dressing very tasty as well. pizza is overpriced… rather buy elsewhere. But I’ll definitely come back for the wings.

I have been going here since my childhood. I went last night to get take out for my grandma. My car broke down and they were kind to me. Another patron went to get me jumper cables, then I need the car across from me to help and they went to each guest and found out who’s car it was. That patron helped me too. That level of kindness goes a long way when you are stranded in the rain trying to bring your elderly grandma food. Other than that the food is delicious! They give you tons of it at a great price and its delectable, indulgent italian food!!! Their Alfredo has always been my favorite. One meal will last me days! My grandmother loves the spaghetti! It’s all so good especially the pizza! A great place for families too!

We’ve been coming to this Clearwater mainstay for years. It’s a sports bar and family Italian restaurant hybrid divided into two large spaces. The walls are festooned with sports memorabilia representative of the owner’s friends, family and(of course) Tampa Bay sport teams. The interior needs a major update from the booths, tables, chairs, bathrooms, etc. To accommodate larger families, its cleaver how the center booths can have the partition removed. As funny as it may seem, the main reason that I love Capogna’s is their meatballs. The meatball subs are modestly priced, huge, delicious sandwiches. The bread is always fresh. Consequently, the spaghetti and meatballs is good, too. They have plenty of lunchtime and early bird specials that are very reasonably priced. The wait staff and owner are always friendly and talkative. If you haven’t already, you need to experience this Gulf to Bay landmark.

More of a bar atmosphere than restaurant/family/dining in my opinion. I came here for lunch one day with a friend. The pizza is ok, nothing to write home about. The atmosphere is very casual, and the prices were reasonable. I would stop by in the future for drinks and maybe some appetizers. Food: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Service: 4 Price: 3 Overall: 3.25

The good: Good food at great prices. Tuesday trivia night is by far the best night. If you’re into trivia, I highly recommend it. And their pizza is faaaantastic, and I know my pizza. The bad: Not very roomy, it can get a bit loud and crowded. The ugly: Avoid the bar/bartenders. Trust me. Just get a table and ask for Big John.

Joined friends here for dinner on a Saturday night. There was agood sized crowd but not wcrazy. Our party was large and kept increasing in number. Waitress handled that fairly well. Till her no time to get my order. Took forever to get my drink which I had to ask for twice. Had the stromboli which was hot, fresh, and very good. Wait staff was over-taxed but did ok. I would have given more stars for better service.
