I’ve dealt with the reservations woman twice now and both times she was incredibly rude and full of attitude. If you don’t like your job, find a new one.

The boat ride, atmosphere and staff were great. The reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the food was pretty bad. It was like shownys on a boat. The only fish options that had were farm raised talapia and farm raised salmon. Come on really?! We are ONTHEWATER! The whole reason we did this cruise over the $ 40 unlimited boat was bc the guy told us they would have a catch of the day option but nope! My husband got The chicken Marsala and it was a joke(I’m from nj and Italian) I’ve never seen Marsala look like that — bagged gravy and canned mushrooms — gross! I got the stuffed shrimp — the stuffing tasted like stofers and the rice was ricer-oni. I would not go again or recommend based on the food– if your going to get a drink or two on the water it’s worth it!

Just getting off the boat, I feel terrible for leaving a 1 star. But I just want to warn people for what they’re getting when it’s «down-season». Forget the sunset if you’re thinking about seeing anything scenic, it sets off too late and they don’t adjust accordingly in the winter; it was dark by the time it took off. We paid $ 25 extra to have a guaranteed window seat and feel ripped off because 20 seats were filled and there was about 50+ on the first floor alone, probably 100+ total on both floors combined. Before even stepping on the ship, we spent $ 70(even with the 20% off code they give you). Cough cough, at our time of booking, Tropics cruises had a Groupon for admission for 2 for $ 35. The only 5 star rating about the ship was the service. The girls were fantastic. Other than that, everything about the food was NOT worth it. It was okay in taste, but not in value. Paying $ 33 for the«land and sea» which is only a flat iron steak compared to $ 39 over at fine dining Salt Rock’s with a full filet, it just does not make sense. I had the Chicken Spinachi which don’t bother if you get the appetizer, artichoke spinach dip. The chicken is stuffed with the same thing. My mistake for thinking it’d be something different. I hate to be bitter, but we spent $ 150 including tip for the service and amazing food over at Salt Rock’s last night. Spending $ 200 including tip for sitting on a boat in the dark with mediocre food was not ideal. Nancy was also great in keeping the small crowd on board satisfied and she has a great voice.

They called and canceled my prepaid reservation an hour before we were set to sail. Our last day of vacation was totally ruined because of Starlite, there was no offer for the troubles and the girl seemed happy that she ruined our plans. I would suggest spending your money else where. If I was Starlight and I ruined someone’s last day of vacation I’m sure that I would at least offer a free cruise for another day at least, instead they just don’t give a care in the world because they are the«bigger guy». Thanks for ruining our trip. I will be writing reviews on every site that I can since I have nothing else to do besides sit in my hotel room all night. Thanks for nothing

Very relaxing dinner cruise. I didn’t have high expectations for food. but was quite decent. Not fine dining, but for this price warm bread, salad and desert included, nice atmosphere.

This was a nice excursion during my birthday celebrations here in the Tampa/Clearwater area. It was nice but I’m glad we had a group in for this trip. Apparently, it’s usually about $ 100 for the trip; to me that’s a bit pricy. We seemed to go around in a circle of the Clearwater beach. I wasn’t expected to go far for a 3-hour tour, but it would’ve been nice to venture out further in the bay. We went to the upper deck to watch the sunset but because the ship didn’t leave at its scheduled time, we only got to enjoy some of the sunset. I won’t complain too too much because we were able to get some beautiful shots of the sunset. We decided not to get full entrees(I was concerned with getting sick with my unstable stomach). The appetizers were sub par. Nothing exciting. Tasted like something I could’ve purchased at Kroger. We did enjoy some dancing after dinner, which was really fun. I enjoyed some quality time with hubby, it wasn’t a terrible plane to do it.

Dinner cruise 10÷3÷15. I got a groupon for four. My parents were in town and we thought this would be fun. I had the salmon. My boyfriend had a seafood dish with clams, etc and my parents both ordered the tilapia. The food was very good and though reviewers are saying it’s pricey, you also get bread with a delicious oil/herb dip and a salad and a dessert following your meal. You would pay extra at any restaurant for dessert and you have to remember, you are on a dinner cruise and you pay for the atmosphere. It is worth it. Adam, our server was really friendly and did an excellent job! Entertainment was great as well! If there could be one thing to improve on it would be that the dance floor is WAYTOOSMALL. Take away one or two tables or move existing tables to expand the dance floor. Too many ppl ready to dance but over crowded dance floor. 5 stars anyway because we had a great time!

Very nice boat. Well appointed and upscale. Dinner is made onboard. It’s very good and the food and drink prices are very reasonable. The party is on the lower deck with music and dancing. Parents: leave the toddlers at home. They’ll be bored and probably intrude on others that are out for a night away from the kids.

Sadly, we will not be able to find out what it is like on the Starlite Majesty. My son uses a power wheelchair, so we went to check out the ship for accessibility today before booking a birthday party. He was able to board the ship and make it into the dining room. When I asked about the restroom facilities I was shown the men’s room. The door was too narrow and there was a step to get in. When we tried to find a private area where maybe he would be able to use a handheld urinal, there were none and the sales woman told us that that is why she gives the dimensions of the bathroom to people who call and then they have to make the decision of whether or not they can come. The sales woman appeared to have no empathy and couldn’t have cared less. Very disappointing.

The pluses: Our waitress, Sierra, was great. She gave us very good service, even moved us to a window table when one of her tables didn’t show up. The food was good but a little overpriced. We got the stuffed shrimp and Parmesan tilapia with the beef Wellington appetizer. The meals come with a salad and dessert which are both a little small but tasty. On the night of our cruise, it rained so we weren’t able to enjoy the upper deck after dinner. We did check it out though and it has comfortable lounge chairs so it would have been very relaxing. Now for the negative: the DJ. The dinner cruise is supposed to be a dancing cruise so there’s a small dance floor, disco ball and flashing lights. However, the DJ(an older woman in her 60s), played 70s soft rock. Think The Carpenters and Elvis(and not the sexy Elvis, but the old, fat Elvis). If you are younger than 40, it’s a huge disappointment. And to make matters worse, the DJ sang the songs. I’ll admit, her voice is pretty good. But nobody wants to hear her sing. We want to listen to soft, jazz music while we eat. Shut up and put the microphone down. I wouldn’t be surprised if she is related to he owner of the ship in some way. This isn’t a cruise from 1985, this is a cruise in 2015. The dancing music wasn’t much better. Apparently the group on our cruise wanted line dances. The dance floor was always full when any of those songs were played and everyone enjoyed watching and clapping along. A good DJ would notice that and keep it up. Did she do that? Oh no. She regularly cleared the dance floor with a slow song(you guessed it, from the 70s). My husband said everyone under 40 should have ganged up on her and made her walk the plank. I would have rated this experience with 4 stars had it not been for the terrible DJ. If you are into that kind of music, or if it’s a nice night and you can escape to the upper deck, you’ll have a good time. If you’re stuck inside, be prepared.

We had a birthday party on board. Starting with the pluses: Most of the staff is friendly and tries hard to make you happy. The food was good. Not great, but pretty good. About what you might expect from a place like Outback or Roadhouse. The sunset is pretty. The minuses: You have to buy a parking pass to be able to park during the cruise. The lot is nearly full by 6, but they don’t let you board till 6:30. If you buy your parking pass when you arrive, you may not get a parking space anywhere nearby, so you get to walk in the heat from far away. If you buy your pass ahead of time, you have to make an extra trip to the dock earlier in the day. Even if you do, if you arrive early enough to get a spot(a parking pass doesn’t reserve a spot), you have to stand around waiting to be let on board. There’s one little booth with one person in it to hand out boarding passes. It can get a decent line, more time standing in the sun waiting. The HEAT. Hands down my biggest complaint. If you are dressed up you can swelter on hot days. It seemed they cycled the AC on and off, and it gets uncomfortable fast, especially if the cruise is crowded(it was full when we were there). Seriously, wear beach-type clothes if you don’t have to dress up. They take a long time to serve dinner. I don’t know if they just want to maximize the time you will have to buy drinks or what. They put out bread, but they don’t refill it and it goes fast because you will be hungry. The salads are very good, but small. I’d recommend eating something to tide you over before you leave for the cruise. The DJ /singer was friendly and good, but right from minute one she had the music blasting at max volume. You couldn’t have a conversation with anyone more than two feet from you. I went outside just to get a break. Bring aspirin /Tylenol(they don’t have any on board). Overall, I was not impressed. I’ve been on this type of dinner cruise in several other places and this one was the least satisfying.

We booked the special July 4th cruise. I’ve seen the boat on the water for years and have always wanted to go out on it. The good: The boat was full but they handled the boarding process quickly. We were the last table on our servers line but were still greeted quickly. Everything ran a bit slowly due to the size of the crowd but nothing to complain about. We ordered the beef wellington appetizer and it was very good. I had the fillet. It was very large, cooked perfectly and delicious. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The vessel itself is very well maintained and very clean. Third floor deck is partially covered with nice seating and was enjoyable once the sun set. They had a singer on board who I enjoyed very much. After her performance she mingled in the crowd and spoke to many people. Poor thing got yelled at about the temperature by everyone she spoke to and berated by a «tipsy gentleman» about their anniversary not being mentioned. I only mention these things so that I can say what a wonderful job she did handling these guests. Obviously that isn’t her job nor something that was in her control but she was just 100% professional in the way she listened and apologized then moved on. Very classy lady and she really made the whole evening as ambassador of the boat. The bad: Oh God the heat… I’m not sure if it was just the crowd or what and we all dressed nicely so that didn’t help but it was just stupid hot in the dining room. One person said they saw a thermostat on the bottom floor that said it was 86, we were near the door on the second floor and it was 90 if was a degree. It’s hard to enjoy a nice meal when you’re dripping sweat in to it. Once the sun went down the breeze picked up and it cooled off. People propped the doors open to get some airflow in the dining room but we never went back in there and missed the dessert round. I would go again but not in the summer months. It would make for a very romantic evening out.

I had purchased the groupoun 2 for 1 ticket. It made the cruise affordable. This ticket has a window seat guaranteed. When we called to book the night we wanted, we were informed that all the window seats had been reserved for that cruise. So, we choose another night. Got the window seat without a problem. Our waitress, Sam, was very knowledgeable and outgoing. Her 1st stop at our table(about 1 minute after we were seated), she informed us of how things would play out, Apps about 5 minutes after you order them, then time to wander the 3 decks until dinner was announced at about 8:00. We choose to share the Crab & Shrimp dip. The presentation was interesting, served in a old fashion ice cream cup with pita slices on the side. Our waitress noticed when our pita was running low and brought us a ‘refill’ of pita without being asked. The dip was served at room temp. I would have preferred it to be either a hot app, or a cold app. The room temp was strange as was the addition of grated american cheese on the top. After finishing out app, we took a walk up to the top(3rd deck). Views were nice, the sunset very nice. I did get the feeling that our cruise was just going in circles. Being new to the area, I would like to have had some commentary as to what we were looking at(i.e. Clearwater Beach to the right…, Stuff like that, short and sweet, maybe some interesting facts… Clearwater Aquarium… what do they do? Animal rehab? etc.) Dinner was announced, and a request that we return to our seats. I had ordered the tilapia and hubby ordered the salmon.(BTW, I am NOT a fish eater). The size of the salmon serving would have been enough for both of us to have had a nice filling dinner. Hubby said it was a little dry, but overall very good. I do think that I may have to add tilapia to my food choices. This huge filet was moist on the inside with a nice sear to the breading. The rice pilaf was good, better than expected. The asparagus was the only thing on the plate that I did not enjoy. I would order this again. Desert was most likely a pre-bought slice of New York Cheesecake, but a very good(maybe Costco?) cheesecake. The finishing touch of the fruit drizzle and whipped cream made it a very nice finish. For an after dinner drink, hubby ordered coffee, I ordered a mocha. Apparently, the mocha machine was broken, Our waitress offered to make a mocha from ‘scratch’. I must say it was an amazing mocha. After dinner we were entertained by an DJ. She sang a few songs, then turned it over to requests. She announced the anniversaries that she knew about.(We were there quietly celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary). Our main entertainment came from fellow diners. A group of local business employees, who had most assuredly had consumed varying amounts of alcohol danced the evening away.(Not necessarily a pretty sight, but entertaining). All in all, a very nice evening. The food is not 5 star restaurant quality, but, that is not the main reason to take this cruise. Spending a few hours with a special someone can make up for lots of imperfections. I am looking forward to taking this cruise again in the winter when my snow bird brothers and their wives are here,

We just had our wedding on this yacht and it was wonderful. Theresa provided top notch customer service. I reside in Georgia and was planning a wedding in Florida and she keep me informed which keep my stress level to a minimum. She answered all my emails quickly. Doug and Captain Charlie were awesome as well. My guest raved over the food and the appetizers! I know our wedding will be talked about for years to come and it was all made possible because of the superb customer service provide by the staff at StarLite! Book your wedding or any special event and know you will be treated with the utmost respect!

Went on the starlight for a wedding. The boat was nice and the entertainment was good as for the food it could have been better. As for the staff, they were friendly and at your service when you needed something, as for my poor rating on this establishment it was because of an unprofessional individual, as my daughter was playing with a plastic candle the individual came straight to my wife and placed napkins in her face and said give it to me, she has it in her mouth, this really set me off. If the individual would of said Maam could you please hand me the candle your daughter has in her hands. But that didn’t happen and the individual was a total douche the rest of the time! So fuck this place!

Last nite I went on cruise and dinner with them. That is so far the worse experience I ever had. Found a plastic in my salad ask the waiter he tell me he don’t make the salad. Ok I ask to speak to the manager he also told me he don’t make the salad. I just want him to beware it could happen to the next guess. He response to my suggestion is he have to run kitchen and the dinning room he don’t have time to watch everyone. I very disappoint and the staff there manager is rude. I will not suggest anyone have dinner there.

The ambience was nice. Two level boat with a bar upstairs. You are seated once you get on the boat they take your drink order and once served they take your food order. There is an «entertainer» who gives you a rundown and she sang karaōke style most of the trip. You are allowed to move around the boat freely as you desire. The food was decent. Appetizer was a chefs choice of several finger foods. Then olive oil with balsamic vinegar and roasted garlic with bread for doping. Caesar salad was next, this was the only choice. For the Main course I had the rack of lamb which was excellent. Desert was a birthday cake most likely bought from the local publix. Overall it was a decent meal that was very expensive. This is the reasoning for the 3 stars. Also there was a frat party who were extremely loud and obnoxious and basically did what they wanted. I’m no pride but there were party’s of 2 – 4 who were much older and were visibly upset by the atmosphere. Word of advice, bring your own medication with you Tylenol, Dramamine, etc. because they do not have any on-board. Hope this review helps.

My boyfriend took me on the starlite cruise for our anniversary dinner. He even opted for the«anniversary package» which came with red roses, a happy anniversary balloon, a bottle of wine or champagne and a seat at the window. It was perfect! We had about an hour before dinner was served and we got to explore the ships 3 decks, and the views were amazing. We started with spinach and artichoke dip and it was decent, you don’t do something like this expecting the food to be the best. Dinner was, okay, I got their stuffed chicken and it wasn’t something to write home about and I would not say it was worth $ 23, my boyfriend got the stuffed shrimp, which were 5 small shrimps with a little ball of crab meat on top. He said it was pretty good, but again not worth $ 32, but again we didn’t do this for a good meal it’s the whole experience. There was a live singer and she even announced our anniversary. The dance floor has a really pretty fiber optic chandler above it. Overall our evening was amazing, I highly recommend it to anyone who is celebrating a special occasion or just wants to go above and beyond to impress their significant other.
