Sears Hometown Store

I hate to hear stories like this. We are committed to Customer Satisfaction and are the No. #1 Service provider in the Appliance Industry. Black Friday pricing on products can be quite a Money Saving Deal for the family, but we are limited to refunding the customer what they actually paid for the product. I hope that you can remain a loyal Sears Customer with us and continue to shop the Clayton Sears Hometown Store for all of your Home Appliance, Lawn and Garden, and Tool needs.

This place doesn’t even deserve the one star that I am giving it.
When my husband and I purchased our brand new front loading washer and dryer here during a Black Friday sale, in addition to purchasing a five year service warrranty along with it, we thought we would be set for a few years with a wonderful washer and dryer. However, after three weeks of having the duo, we had to call for service. The dryer was making a ridiculous sound. Service came and said the sound will eventually go away. Another few weeks go by and the sound progressively got worse. I called for service again (*note: washer /​dryer duo is about two months old at this point) and the service tech comes and takes the ENTIRE dryer apart. He said that he has never heard a sound like that before and cannot figure it out. He told me that I am still in my 90 day grace period and to call the store so they can replace it. I called the store and the store owner.
Long story short. Store owner said that since I purchased this as a Black Friday sale that I can only get the face value of half of what I paid regardless of how expensive the washer and dryer were originally. Note: If I did just this and got half back, it would not have covered the cost of even the cheapest dryer in the place. I flipped and called the Sears headquarters numerous times just to be told that their Hometown stores are owned independetly and that there is nothing to do.
What I learned from all of this:
1. Never purchase anything from Sears ever again.
2. Sears Hometown stores are owned independently.
3. Never purchase anything from Sears ever again.
4. Regardless of how long a company has been in business, Sears has no regard for the customer satisfaction
5. Never purchase anything from Sears ever again.
6. Searsr does not back product reliability.
7. Never purchase anything from Sears ever again.
****8. I still have dryer that sounds like a classroom of children screeching their nails down a chalkboard.
