Fleur De Lis Bridal Boutique

Kristen and Connie were a wonderful daughter and mother duo — what a fun shop and great business model — all dresses (all beautiful) made in North America and all are exceptional quality. None of these designers are carried anywhere else in St Louis. We were greeted with mimosas and the appointment was private, which was very nice. My mother and I are from NY and are very discerning customers, they exceeded our expectations and I said «yes to the dress» at this lovely shop in Clayton!

Full disclosure: I did not buy my dress from Fleur de Lis. However, my experience there was wonderful and I want to give them their due credit for creating such an enjoyable shopping experience for their clients.
I had to change my appointment at the last minute and Connie was very accommodating and understanding, as I and my entourage were coming in from out of town.
We arrived on a very cold February afternoon and were warmly welcomed by Kristin with glasses of champagne. It was such a delightful bonus to see that they close down the shop just for you while you’re trying on dresses. While the bulk of the dresses were above my price range, Kristin explained how all of the pricing would work and what discounts she would honor. It’s very cool they have exclusive designers for their boutique and that all of the gowns are handmade. They really are gorgeous.
I’m also not a tiny person and despite the samples being on the smaller side, I was still able to have a nice appointment and try some things on.
Kristin even recommended a couple of other bridal shops in the area (and David’s Bridal was not one of them) that might have some of the styles I was looking for in my budget. She gave a generous amount of time to take advantage of her offer, as well, should I decide to buy from them.
This is a fabulous boutique and I would highly recommend for anyone who wants to see unique gowns, support a local business, and have a lovely dress experience!

Best bridal salon in town, hands down. Had negative experiences elsewhere and have had nothing but success, happiness and smooth visits since my engagement!
Connie and Kristin are amazing women– they are thoughtful, helpful, attentive to your needs and extremely hospitable. It’s amazing the personal attention they give you by closing the doors to the public to give you the utmost privacy.

I’ve searched on Unilocal for years but never created an account to add my own review until now because I have had such a great experience at Fleur De Lis Bridal.
I live in Los Angeles but spent some time in Clayton for work and even though I came down with a cold, I made and kept my appointment with Kristen. It was only my second time trying on dresses and I’ve fallen in love with the designer Modern Trousseau. Kristen is so sweet and I found out our wedding anniversaries will be on the same day.
Originally I loved the skirt of the Autumn and the top of the Leah. Kristen emailed the designer that night and got back to me the next morning to tell me that there is already a dress with both elements… Sky.
I’m back in Los Angeles and I’ve tried on a number of other dresses at this point and can’t stop thinking about these dresses and my experience at Fleur De Lis. I’ve been in touch with Kristen and she is so responsive. More than likely I will be ordering my dress from them!

I couldn’t have had a more positive experience. I had had a negative experience at another salon a few days before, so it was so refreshing to go to a store that was so friendly and happy and BEAUTIFUL. They know how to make you feel so darn pretty and special. I found my dress there and I’m so glad I get to support a fairly new and local business!

When I got engaged at the end of October, my mother suggested that we go dress shopping when I came home for Thanksgiving. She told me there was an adorable dress shop on Maryland Avenue that she was dying to go to, so I made an appointment with the wonderful ladies at Fleur De Lis.
Connie and Kristin are just great. They made me feel so comfortable in their shop and they close the place down when you’re trying on dresses so that you have ample privacy, with your friends and family, to decide which one is for you. They don’t do alterations on the premises, but they will refer you to an experienced and reliable alterations shop (R & M Designs on Manchester).
I think the best part is that they had the whole range of prices for their dresses, starting from $ 1500-​ish to $ 5000+. I didn’t feel at all pressured to look at the more expensive ones, and they were able to go into detail about why some dresses cost more than others (hint: it’s not all about the designer). They are so knowledgable about their business, it would be great if all business owners had the time to explain the details to you like they can.
I ended up purchasing my dress elsewhere, but I loved the experience of shopping at Fleur De Lis. I wish them all the luck in the future!
BONUS: They had great cookies and sparkling wine!
