I liked this place a lot better a few years ago. The menu seems the same but the quality has dropped quite a bit. It’s always dead here when surrounding restaurants are busy and I think that tells the story. The once great truffle fries are not tired and either soggy or raw. The chicken I was served was subpar and skimpy. That being said the place is quite attractive and when the door is open it can be nice.

Sometimes I feel like 3 stars is a slight however this one really means a okay. Checked in and each of us for a free wine, which is generous as it is not limited to one per table. The bocci salad is delicious though small. Mussels were good. Bread pudding was more to my husbands liking than mine. The pudding itself was spicy and flavorful(heavy nutmeg and clove taste) with a caramel sauce. Service was nice as is the atmosphere.

Lana and I went there for dinner because she received a free wine flight and desert as a birthday gift! The wine was excellent and so was the food!!! I would recommend this place to anyone. Additionally, the service was great. My only issue was that I wasn’t finished with my salad when the dinner came out, but Lana and I did order seafood and that finishes quickly.

Just visited Bocci as part of Clayton’s Restaurant Week. They offered a three-course meal for $ 25. Three different choice of salads, entrees and dessert. Great deal that comes around once a year. So not a typical review as I didn’t sample their normal fare, but still a good experience none the less. And the service was great… shout out to Whitney who helped make it a very fun night.

Stay away! I can’t recall having a worse dining experience. The restaurant was hot, the waitress unskilled & the manager downright rude. Add so-so, overpriced food and this place delivered everything a restaurant shouldn’t! We dined on a weekday evening in July during Clayton Restaurant Week. Surprisingly, the restaurant was fairly empty.(Only 4 – 5 tables including ours were occupied) Other diners must have already known how awful this restaurant is. Our waitress, new and poorly trained, didn’t know the menu. So, she couldn’t offer suggestions and seemed surprised that items we ordered actually existed. And, this confusion was over the limited item restaurant week menu. Imagine her struggle with their regular sized menu. When we asked a question about a dish, she went to the kitchen to inquire but came back with an incomplete answer stating«they» get frustrated with questions. I dared to ask a second question — was the chicken dish prepared with white or dark meat? She checked and reported that it was prepared with white. Well, it came out with two leg quarters — not the promised chicken breast. When I mentioned the discrepancy, she seemed scared to ask the kitchen what happened. Thank goodness I’m not ultra picky and could eat the dark meat. Honestly, at this point in the evening I just wanted out. I will say that our two dishes tasted ok. Neither was interesting or particularly tasty but at least they were pleasantly edible. I would give the food alone 2.5 stars. Meanwhile, th

My husband and I loved this place! We started with the Meat and Cheese plate — for $ 18 you certainly get a heaping plate of food! The sausage was my favorite by far. But the salami and prosciutto(or was it ham? It had a lot more flavor than any prosciutto I’ve tasted) very pretty great, as well. There was also blue cheese, a very sharp cheddar, a gouda and mustard. The bread it was served with was soft of the inside, but with a chewy crunch on the outside. Next, we shared the sliders. They were covered with one of the thickest slices of cheese I have ever seen on a burger! I think the cheese was called a sharp cheddar, but I have to say it wasn’t quite a sharp as I really like. However, the burger was so juicy and flavorful on it’s own that the cheese preference didn’t even matter! My husband also ordered the Seafood Crepes, which were huge! He said they were quite good, but not as absolutely amazing as everything else we’d already had. The service was great and the atmosphere was dark and romantic. We can’t wait to bring our best couple friends back here with us for a night of fantastic food!

Great, reasonably priced food and wines. Go there for lunch-the roast beef sandwich comes with really tasty au jus and fries. Great service as well, and nice open patio seating(in the summer). Only complaint was the Rosemary was a bit heavy, but still, a definite would come again!

I’ve come here a few times in the past 6 months and have very mixed feelings about this place. The few times I’ve come for drinks has been fine, though I wouldn’t say it’s the best cocktail/wine bar I’ve been to by any means. They do have a good wine flight selection and have a decent specialty cocktail list to choose from. I have also been here for dinner a couple of times, and both times I was not impressed. Most recently, I came on a Saturday night and ordered a margarita pizza. It did not taste like a margarita pizza should at all, it was not crispy and the sauce was odd tasting. I ate a piece of it and couldn’t believe that the price on it was $ 16 for such a small pizza and not even that good. I ended up talking to our waitress who allowed me to send it back and get a salad instead. My friend had the salmon and it wasn’t all that special, there really wasn’t much flavor to it(I had a bite of it myself). The last time I came here too I wasn’t all that impressed with the food. The service we had was strange too, it seemed like we had 2 servers which you’d think would be even better but they kept confusing each other and we had to ask for a couple of things more than once. If I come back here, it will most likely only be for drinks as I was not impressed with any of the food.

Came here for a birthday celebration on Thursday night, and we all agreed this was a place worth returning to! The restaurant ambiance was nice, with relaxed dim lighting and many tables. This is a perfect spot for a date or a small group. It was basically empty though, which was strange. Maybe it gets more crowded on the weekend. We ordered four dishes to split between five. The portions are not huge, but the food is very rich so it was plenty! My favorite was the cheese board. We ordered two flat breads, the lobster one and the meat one. Both were tasty. The only miss was the fig and walnut risotto which was bland. For dessert, the restaurant gave us a discounted piece of the triple chocolate layer cake, which was fantastic. We used the Unilocal check in offer for a free glass of house wine. They had four selections, and I picked the Merlot which was delicious. I definitely want to come back for some wine flights though! They have a good selection of wines.

Went for Clayton restaurant week and had a great experience. Our waiter made the evening feel special, even though he was really busy and it was a restaurant week deal. The food was delicious, and there wasn’t a scrap left to take home. I highly recommend the Beef Bourguignon, the Salmon, and any salad. Worth the money!

Nicholas was our waiter for happy hour. He took good care of the 8 of us. The happy hour drink menu was good and well priced. Nice selection of wines, liquor and beer. The food selection for happy hour was limited. The flat breads and sliders were tasty, the smoky ketchup added a good flavor to the slider. While we did not try any of the items on the regular menu, it did look very good. Nicholas was very attentive and offered good advice on the alcohol selection.

What a great place to come for wine! They even have Malbec ‘on draft’. So come check it out and use one of their sweet check-in offers. Food: The Bocci house salad made with grilled lemon juice, avocado, and Bibb lettuce was great(vegan!). The hummus was ok. Environment: Uncrowded, this place is great for conversation or an intimate dinner. The wood and lighting that makes one feel cozy and at ease. Service: Friendly, quick, and attentive.

I came here with my mom for Friday happy hour. The happy hour wines were excellently priced around $ 4 a glass and very tasty; they offered two reds and two whites. However, I was not at all a fan of the happy hour ceviche — it did not taste like it was high quality or super fresh. The ambiance was relaxed and intimate, our waitress was attentive. I wish they had descriptions of the cocktails on the menu and more specific descriptions of the featured wines on the happy hour menu. A great place for a low-key, reasonably priced glass of wine.

Bocci Wine Bar wins major points for being in Clayton by me. Walking distance there, stumbling distance home — super conveniently located. And there’s usually parking fairly close by. I went there this past weekend on a Saturday night around 11:30pm. It was strangely slow. The interior is nicely decorated with a combination of chairs and booths. The bar is kept clean and the menu is extensive but not overbearing, and reasonably priced for a wine bar. My group of three ordered the Charles & Charles red blend — delicious on a chilly night. I will definitely be returning to try more.

Extremely friendly staff that were incredibly hospitable. The food was yummy and the drinks were refreshing. Jessica was so adorable and the patrons were genuine. Good happy hour deals and house keg wines.

Finally made it in on a Friday night for dinner and will definitely be back. We celebrated two bdays and Corey, the manager I believe, made it an amazing experience. Everything was fluid and top notch from the reservations on opentable to the meal to the cocktails. We had hummus, crab salad type dish, scallops and apple stuffed pork. ALLEXCELLENT as well as the service and atmosphere.

I visited Bocci Wine Bar late on a Saturday night to meet a couple girlfriends. This place is awesome. We just had wine, but I’ll definitely be coming back to try out their menu… and of course more wine! The atmosphere of Bocci is exactly what you want a wine bar to be! There is quite background music so you can still enjoy conversations with your friends. The lighting is dimmed low. The interior is decorated classy and modern. And there are a variety of seating arrangements available… high top and low top tables, bar seating, and bench seating. I look forward to visiting Bocci again… and providing an updated review!
