So thankful for this place! Needing more Filipino food in the metro Detroit. Support this local business that makes great food. Get the lechon kawali(pork belly) and you will not be disappointed. It’s crispy and delicious. Comes with a traditional dip. It just needs a little rice and dinner is served!

Wow, I can’t believe that I am going to say this but their chicken is so ridiculously good that it beats out chicken that I have gotten at expensive restaurants. I always either get their BBQ chicken sandwich or just a fried breast, and it is ridiculously good. It is seasoned perfectly and is always moist. It has a light coating that makes the chicken crunchy and lets the fresh chicken shine. Service is always very friendly. There is some wait(because they make food fresh) but call ahead for quick pickup. This place is pretty unassuming from the outside, but if you like chicken, definitely give it a try.

Straight up delicious. Basic chicken joint food plus a few non traditional gems. Try the crispy pata – flash fried hammock, big enough to split, with the onion sauce. Chicken and house made waffles are a treat. Fries are well seasoned. The ribs are VERY good. And the fried chicken is about as perfect as you can get without busting out your own skillet. Call ahead, food is made to order and can take a minute.

When I first met my husband, he explained to me that there was a true art to making fried chicken; He then went on to tell me about old folk tales. Eh, fried chicken is fried chicken, right? So wrong! Fay My family loves their chicken. This is the best comfort food after a late night out. Their chicken is light, crispy and juicy inside. I love their green beans and broasted potatoes.

Usually the cooks are sweltering in the chicken joints. They are freezing here– good thing it is takeout! The chicken was superior, love the bread choices, and I appreciate that they are trying sides that other places don’t offer, but if you are going to do them, do them well. The macaroni and coleslaw were both huge misses. The mashed potatoes were excellent, and the roasted potatoes were good.

amazing food, cute place. it was 2 degrees outside when I went and they seemed to be having heating issues, but they were still open and there was a space heater in the pick up/ordering area. the people working there had layers on but were still cheery! only got sides, a large order of ‘broasted’ potatoes, a large mac and cheese and 4 pieces of cornbread, a pretty good amount of food for about 10 bucks. the potatoes are definitely enough to feed many people, but the large mac was still pretty small. likewise, the potatoes were amazing, very good texture and seasoning, but the mac was a little bland and nothing special. good cornbread. there was a sign suggesting you order ahead, since everything is made fresh, but since it was my first time I ordered there, and the wait wasn’t too bad. looking at the menu has made me excited to come back and try everything. :)

Usually I would write something along the lines of «impeccable» or «astonishing» to describe food, but I’m afraid I’m at a loss for words for some reason. It seems to me that this establishment dishes out food that is clearly unmatched by any of the other fried chicken spots. Anyone can take chicken, dunk it in a fryer and serve it to the public, but here you can actually taste the love and passion that goes into their craft. It’s almost as if they were put in this earth to feed us their LOVE. Tucked a bit off the main strip of Clawson, MI. Faym-Us Chicken and Seafood is a textbook hole in the wall. This means you order ahead of time, you swing by after 20 minutes and they’ll have some good LOVE waiting for you to bring home. Where you can eat it in the comforts of your own home… you know, that boxy thing with a roof you sleep in at night. Then you can eat it in your dining room… that’s the section inside the boxy thing with roof that has a big table with chairs around it. Apparently it’s used for eating food just like in the restaurants. Anyways, the LOVE you just bought in this restaurant is not just for eating… it’s more for breaking bread with friends and family. Allow me to explain the difference, eating is scarfing down microwave fish sticks or pizza just because you’ve given up in life, breaking bread is when you sit down with family and eat good stuff while you all make noises like, mmmmmmmm! Aaaaaaah!!! Yummy! OMG! Followed by talks of how things are and about other family members who aren’t present. Anyways, enough off topic blabber, this place serves up LOVE, you can tell they LOVE what they do, and you LOVE what they do as well. Come through and order up anything in their menu, then you’ll understand why I call it LOVE. Life is awesome when the glass is half full. Weeeeeeeeeeee!

I ordered Sisig, fried chicken and Crispy pata. Sisig was very good. They can make it mild or spicy. The fried chicken was crispy outside and juicy inside. The crispy pata was«crispy» and tasty. The sauce made with vinegar and soy sauce was good too. Call ahead if you don’t want to have a long wait. The staff was very friendly. They gave me corn bread while I was waiting :) Will definitely be back.

I was here last night for the first time in three years. They have new owners and my meal was amazing! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I got the Lechon Kawali. It was crispy, delicious and hit the spot! I would recommend both sauces that it comes it. I will be back very soon!

Got the Cod sandwich and garlic mashed potatoes and it was friggin delicious. Highly recommend this spot. It’s comfort food that is fresh, well made and not overly greasy. The flavors are perfect. One of my fave spots in Michigan! Cod Sandwich breakdown: — Buttery & perfectly toasted — Cod is battered and fried so light and crispy.

I am so glad the big chicken is back in Clawson AKA Faym Us Chicken. The chicken is significantly better than Chicken Shack. Bigger, juicier and more flavorful. Plus, terrific garlic mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. It’s nice to have a choice besides French fries or broasted; however, they have those too. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful as well. Interesting Phillipino food items are also on menu. I’m looking forward to trying them.

This review is strictly based on the Lechon Kawali alone. And yes it is that good. Faym-Us Chicken is not a place where you go to sit and eat at your leisure. It’s a small carryout place designed for you to pick up your food and hurry home as fast as you can to savor the goodness! The staff are friendly and love to joke with each other. There are three or four chairs in the front for you to sit and wait for your order to be ready, but beware… it is freezing in the winter. They do have a space heater to help you from freezing to death, just make sure to stand close to it. The prices are fair but the Lechon is quite pricey at almost $ 11 a lb. However the porcine deliciousness is all worth it. Crispy, fatty, and perfectly salted, the Lechon Kawali leaves nothing to be desired. Make sure you ask for the spicy vinegar sauce.

First time coming here to try their food. My friends told me to try. Also I have a 10% discount from Unilocal apps which they recognized and accepted. Not bad for first impression. We ordered ahead of time unfortunately by the time we got there(30 minutes later) it was not ready. Its seems like they are not well manage or systematic yet. Though they were friendly, sometimes you just want to get the food and eat it, especially when you’re hungry! Well the food was not disappointing, taste just as good as what my friends told me and comparable to what i tasted sonewhere else. I’ll probably come back when I’m on the area. By then hopefully they have a better system or service. I know the food is what I should be talking about but you know, my time is also important/valuable.

My new favorite chicken place! Sorry Chicken Shack :( The chicken is so moist and the seasoning is perfect. The only thing I wasn’t totally a fan of was the coleslaw.

This great place has reopened with a new owner and new attitude. I was there on opening day, and they place has been remodeled and scrubbed from floor to ceiling. It was inviting and new, but preserved the character of the old place. This one big change was the dining counter is gone. It’s all carry out now, though the new owner mentioned wanting to get a couple picnic tables out in the summer. The staff is attentive and friendly. And food is great. They are still using Faym-Us’ famous chicken recipe. And they use no frozen chicken. It’s all fresh into the cookers. They also have an incredible chicken and waffle. The problem often with chicken and waffles, is the waffle is often too sweet like an Eggo. This is a good, wheaty, waffle that pairs with the chicken and syrup perfectly. Good fries also. I need to try the rest of the menu but so far their main staple, the chicken, is a big success. I’ll be back… often.
