Always a delight to come here. I’m a wine member and it’s so great to wine taste here. Fun atmosphere, cute tasting room, and Alec is a great host each visit! All the staff members are so friendly and it always feels like a welcome home party when we revisit. Oh and the wine is so delicious!

we had my wife’s 50th birthday here — The Staff was a little disorganized as it was a surprise b-day party and timing was a little off on our part. regardless; the entire event was outstanding! Jenny & her staff helped out & the weather was beautiful for a December day. All present enjoyed a great event as we had relatives visit from the Philadelphia as well as central Cali. Now to the wine: just really good stuff — syrah, cab and blends as well as whites!!! the Sugar Mill is a hidden gem here in elk grove /Clarkesburg. Highly recommend for all especially if heading to Bogle Vineyards… or on your way back from Bogle

The wine was not good here. It was lacking something. I believe they told us their wine ages in steel barrels instead of wood, which might explain that missing element. I’m no wine expert, so I have no idea if that is it, but it just tasted off. The issue could also be the service. I have never had such poor service. At first we had an older gentlemen helping us who seemed like he was going to be a good guy to have pour our wine. A younger gentleman asked him to get something out of the back and replaced him as our server. He wasn’t rude, but he wasn’t friendly. He made us feel very rushed. He would basically explain the wine we were drinking, then have the next bottle in hand ready to pour. We were practically having to slam the wine to keep up with the pace he was trying to set. Ugh. At the end of the tasting he didn’t even ask us how it was or make any small talk. He dived right in and said ok so how many bottles do you want or do you want to join the wine club? Well no, because you wine wasn’t that good and your service wasn’t good. No rapport, rushed, and pushy. Blech. 6⁄100

I truly love Elevation Ten, not only do they have delicious wines, but their customer service is great. The staff is knowledgeable, and have been patient when many of us are wine tasting. If you are a wine club member, they have fun events with delicious food.

I really enjoy their wines! Also the staff is very friendly. If you want to join their wine club, they throw some really good pick up parties! Food is always really good and their themes change each time as far as the food and party décor. I would recommend you giving this place a try if you are thinking of joining a wine club. I wish you could choose your own wines for the pickup, but that’s my only gripe. But the more wine I drink, the less I gripe and the less I give a shit about what kind I go home with. Bottoms up!

My husband and I visited this location when they just opened up and also more recently to see if things had progressed. Let’s just say… the best part of the visits was sampling the blended dried herbs in olive oil, which I purchased. Both times we paid for our tastings and resumed the loop around the building.

Elevation Ten is a great winery located at the Old Sugarmill. We latched on to them not only for their exceptional wines, but also their customer service and friendly atmosphere during the tastings. Forget the Napa stereotypes and just relax and enjoy all that Elevation Ten has to offer. We are always taken very good care of by all the staff, particularly Jenny who is funny, engaging and knowledgeable about the wines. They also offer some delicious dipping oil for breads and such, which is a very nice compliment to their wine selections. Their wine club is very affordable and certainly worth inquiring about as you can decide between whites, reds or a combination of both. Their dessert wines are amazing, particularly the Semillon! The rose is also particularly good, especially during the summer months. Well worth stopping by! Cheers!

I keep getting blown away by the customer service at this wine faire! Seriously the sweetest people ever! The rancher at the cheese table is awesome! The garlic and jalapeño olive oil and cheese are of course the best!

Overall most of the wines seemed watered-down. The server pouring the wines was extremely knowledgeable and taught me some very interesting things that I did not know and I would rate him 5 star! They did not charge the $ 5 tasting fee for me and the customers that tasted around me which was very cool! The Cab Sav was average but over all I am not impressed with their wines. Nice knowledgeable people and a cool place does not make up for mediocre wines. Feel free to give it a try if you want but I won’t be back… to many better options out there.

I am not a fan of these wines. They all tasted like they were watered down. We even tasted a wine from the barrel and it tasted like it was watered down too. The late harvest Semillion was pretty good. The guy that poured our tastings was very nice & knowledgeable.

By far my favorite winery at Old Sugar Mill. They seem to have the best selection of wines. I typically drink white wine because I havent yet acquired the taste buds to enjoy a good red however, Elevation ten insisted I try their festivo wine. It was sooo good that I had to buy a bottle to take home for sangria. Thank you for your consistency Elevation Ten, cant wait to come back :)

The ONE place I did not check in to this day until AFTER the fact, and I lose the opportunity to save 15% on my purchases! RRRRRGH! I bought a pinot grigio, some basil olive oil and some dipping spices. I could really have used that 15% discount. Boo. Really nice winery, decent wines, and our pourer, Jamie, was sweet as can be. I’m spoiled, though. Maybe it’s the setting of the wineries at the Old Sugar Mill(they all look the same), or maybe it’s just the wine, but none of it came close to comparing to what we have here in Sonoma County.

Red wine is my favorite and the zinfandel at Elevation Ten was excellent! We bought a bottle to take home. The staff was very friendly and welcoming as well. We visited The Old Sugar Mill for the first time last weekend and tried 3 of the 8 wineries(Elevation Ten, Todd Taylor, and Carvalho.) All were very good but I liked Elevation Ten’s tasting room layout the best of the three. Cool exclusive«lounge» for wine club members too! We might have to join!

We visited the Old Sugar Mill this afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by Elevation Ten! Their reds were very tasty… try the Proprieter’s; its also made from local grapes! The semillion dessert was also really interesting and addictive. Huge tastings at only $ 5/person that’s refunded with bottle purchase. The man in the tasting room was so sweet and helpful, and the wines here were much better than the other wineries. Definately worth stopping in when you are at the Old Sugar Mill.

Been there twice now and had a great experience both times. The staff is welcoming and attentive not to mention generous with their pouring. My favorite in old sugar mill. Love te chard and cab. Highly recommend. I also want to mention all wineries at the old sugar mill are great too. I will probably join the wine club in the future

When we were at the Sugar Mill this weekend, we were excited to see that a new winery had joined the lineup. Elevation Ten looks very inviting upon first inspection — the tasting room is set up really pretty, with lots of space and lovely décor. The rustic table and chair set in the middle of the room provides seating, in addition to the little nook in the back with cute orange leather chairs — the other wineries here don’t have anything set up like this. They also have a little station against one wall with fruit-infused water and cheese samples, which is a nice touch. The bar itself is also very nice, and large enough so that unless you’re stuck standing next to an obnoxious bratty frat guy with no concept of personal space(not that this kind of thing happened to me), theoretically you’ll be comfortable while tasting. Now, on to the wines. Tasting fee is $ 5, and that gets you a full flight from their tasting menu. They actually collect the $ 5 from you BEFORE you start tasting, which is kind of weird but whatever. That is refunded later if you decide to buy a bottle. There are 3 whites(Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Muscat Cannelli) and 3 reds(Merlot, a «Proprietor’s Blend», and a Cabernet). I really wasn’t impressed to be honest. The Pinot Gris was kind of blah(drinkable sure, but no personality to it and way overpriced). The Chardonnay was not to my liking at all(way too crisp with an unpleasant sharpness to it as well — but that could just be me, as I prefer oaky Chards and this one is stainless-steel only). At this point I just skipped straight to the Muscat, since I’m even pickier about my reds and figured I wouldn’t like them much. The Muscat is fortified with brandy and was actually quite pleasant. Not too sweet, and not overly brandied either. However, at $ 20/bottle, I didn’t like it enough to buy it. There are other wineries at the Sugar Mill(in particular Todd Taylor and Three) with much higher quality wines AND wines that are more appropriately priced according to quality, taste, and craft. Maybe Elevation Ten will improve its wines in the future, but for right now, I feel that they’re just too overpriced for what they are. They’re not bad, they’re just not my cup of tea(glass of wine?)…
