My big complaint here is that they need a sign stating that only off road type vehicles should travel the dirt road to the trailhead. I was following another car. Yes there we some washed out holes that you had to drive slowly BUT then the road was washed out. Now we had to drive down the road backwards to find a place to turn around. If I knew this from the beginning I would have just hiked from the lower trailhead. As far as the hike it was really peaceful and enjoyable. Make sure you are wearing proper hiking footwear since there are some pretty root/rock areas. Though the falls were small it was an easy but highly recommended hike. In the cooler weather I would definitely come back again.

A scenic out and back hike along Moccasin Creek that is not very strenuous, but very pretty. You cross the creek on a wooden bridge about midway and hike up to the falls. Great place to bring all ages. It’s slightly uphill most of the way out, which makes for a slightly downhill return to the parking lot. It’s about 1 mile out and 1 mile back.
