Stopped here based on previous reviews and was not disappointed! This quaint gem in town served delicious mocha latte and bacon egg croissant! Loved the atmosphere and would stop again if ever in town!

Excellent coffee. I found this place because the idiots at the Starbucks website had their hours wrong again for one of their stores. When I arrived at the closed Starbucks a local pointed me towards Michelle’s. I’m a coffee snob and I thought their espresso was good. Also they had really tasty bagels.

Came to Clarion for business and searched for a coffee shop to prep. Starbucks came up first, and so glad I decided to come here instead. I highly recommend the freshly baked items as they are made on site. The latte I ordered was strong, tasty and served with a genuine smile. Great atmosphere too!

just got asked to leave because they are closing early. 4 people with an hour of work to do were told sorry but there arent enough people in here to stay open. there was already a seated table of 4 students and another couple in the place. so you wont stay open for 10 customers on a tuesday? ok michelles. we will take our business elsewhere. and we wont be back.

Good local coffee shop. Good ambiance. They make REAL steamed chai tea! No powder mix. Be forewarned: cash only.

Breakfast sandwiches; croissants or bagels(from Brooklyn, NY), fresh cream cheese spreads, and a great assortment of drinks. Really nice ambiance, too.

I’ve been coming here for about ten years while I’m on vacation at Cook Forest. I look forward to eating here every year. Everything about this place is perfect. I love the everything bagel toasted with egg & cheese, the vegetarian black bean soup, the homemade pies(!!!), gelato, lattes, and hot chocolates. Michelle’s Café is the only place I will eat an entire plate of salad and enjoy every bite of it. I highly recommend this café for anything from getting a quick lunch to sitting with a book and enjoying a slice of pie and tea.

I live in Chicago so stopping into this tiny town while passing through Pennsylvania was a refreshing little slice of a more peaceful life. The coffee here is great and while the food is only good, the prices make up for it not being great. The staff was friendly and the environment is super cozy, which were added bonuses. FYI, they only take cash or check, so they get one less star because come on, I’ve never had to pay for coffee with a check before.

I’ve been going to this place since high school, and I will continue to do so. It’s a cozy little café, and their drinks are always great. The whip cream they use on top is very thick, and I think that’s my favorite part. They serve bagels, breakfast, sandwiches, and soup all day. They also have a special of the day. Another thing I love is they always have local art for sale, hanging in the back of the café. And on some nights they have events and music like open mic night. They don’t take cards though, so bring cash! There’s an atm right down the street.

Michelle’s Café is another small town gem that is sure to please your late morning coffee cravings or end your lunchtime hunger pains. For me, it accomplished both, especially with a wide variety of latte options and a simply effective lunch menu. To eat: a turkey and cheese sandwich on homemade, toasted bread with a deli pickle and a cup of Italian wedding soup. To drink: a pumpkin latte topped with whipped cream and cinnamon. Thumbs up to everything… very satisfying without suffering from that ‘completely stuffed’ feeling. It’s a very laid back and cozy café, with a variety of comfortable chairs and tables filled with chatting locals and working college kids. A variety of locally made mugs, arts and crafts adorn the walls, all ready and numbered for purchase. Plus, there is a bookshelf with a variety of books/games, a small fireplace and a large, decorated Christmas tree all ready for the holidays.

This is such a neat little place. Very cozy atmosphere, lots of books and places to sit and relax. You can get a coffee, scone, or even some ice cream. It’s nice to just grab one of these, and sit and read the paper, or talk with some friends.

My wife and I are so grateful to have Michelle’s Café in our lives. As college students years ago, we kindled our romance there. As members of the professional community today, we still stop in for a quick drink or a take-home lunch. Best quiche in the area by far. Fresh-baked croissants(perhaps I shouldn’t share this exact detail since they run out almost every day). If you would like ambiance with your coffee, Michelle’s is one of the most active patrons of Clarion’s creative intellectual community with regular installations, performances, and readings. A true community-minded local business. In fact, I just had the Italian Wedding Soup today. Fabulous. They cater!

I love this place. I stop here whenever I am in town. The coffee is hit or miss depending on who is making it. The beagles with honey maple cream cheese is AMAZING! I will order it by the ½ lb and eat it every morning.

Stopped by because my husband wanted a coffee. Since I don’t drink coffee I asked him to get me a grasshopper(hot chocolate with mint). It was terrible! First of all it tasted burnt, and it tasted like coffee. Since I waited in the car, I’m not sure how it was made, but it seems like there must not be a steamer for the milk that is used only for non coffee drinks. Disappointing!

Great coffee! Beautiful, large interior includes antique bookshelves and other built-ins and high tin ceilings. We had a piece of chocolate cake that was delicious, and lattes. Very impressed with friendly, polite staff.
