We LOVE Studio Claremont! We have been going here for years! My cousin started attending classes when he was five and his art work always amazed me. I then decided to attend some adult workshops for myself and they were great! The staff is so helpful and supportive here and they make everyone feel welcomed. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with the owner and the rest of the staff here. The front windows here are always so cheerful, creative and overall amazing! Studio Claremont is a great addition to the Claremont community and I am so happy our children have a safe, supportive place to do amazing art and grow.

I can relate to so many of the people who rated Studio Claremont low due to the owner. She is unkind to the children and the parents. If there is ever a time you need to talk to her about an issue, be prepared to be belittled. You will end the conversation feeling like you never want your kids to attend a class there again. I will never send my kids there again. See for yourself, go back and read her replies to any of the bad reviews and you’ll see she is unkind and crazy and unwilling to apologize or admit she or her studio were in the wrong. DONOTSENDYOURCHILDRENHERE. If you are looking for an amazing children’s art studio in Claremont(with a WONDERFUL and KIND owner) go to Art and Sol Fine Arts on 985 W. Foothill Blvd. I took my children there after our bad experience with Studio Claremont and it was like night and day. My kids left SO happy and raved about how kind Gracesol(the owner/art teacher) is.

The same thing that happened to Ed and his child happened to mine. We were out of town and arranged to take classes when we came back. I got a verbal okay from a staff member, but when we showed up for classes, for which we had already paid, and after my child had already sat down, they refused to let her participate. My child started to cry and ask if they didn’t like her. I was disgusted by their coldness and took her and left. I was told the owner at that time was out of town, and I’d have to wait to discuss it with her. I gave up in disgust. After reading Ed’s review, and seeing the very disrespectful comments of the owner to him, blaming him for their actions, I can only conclude they don’t do business well nor work with children well. Also, I must agree with the art teacher. They did a lot of the work for the kids, so that the art all looked the same. My child wanted to experiment, but they do very controlled art with an anticipated result. And I would never subject my child to the cold and unkind treatment ever again.

Did a super fun class where i got to paint my pet! The teachers were very supportive and they gave me tips on how to add dimension to my baby kitty. My only quip is that they closed at 9, offered to wrap my remaining paint up, but I declined because I had too much stuff to carry home. I was hoping they’d honor my request the next day(to get to little squirts of paint to fix my drawing), and they declined. Come on now… they make plenty of money per class but they claimed they had limited supplies. Smh. Great otherwise!

We are so blessed to have our two children enrolled at the studio. Its amazing the projects that are creating at such a young age. This class is truly the highlight of the week for them and they truly LOVE the art teachers who truly connect with every child and family. I would recommend this place anyone from child to adult as it is both fun and educational!!! The Castro’s(Aiden & Aubrey)

Spent last Friday night at the adult class making a skull head decoration. Had a blast! The staff is so wonderful. They take great care in teaching and helping to bring out your most creative self! Can’t wait to sign up for the next class! Their kid friendly classes are awesome as well!

My daughter Elena has had the privilege of attending Studio Claremont for many years. We used to look in the windows and admire the beautiful works of art created by the many children. The creativity of the different themes always amazes me. The staff is kind and attentive and my daughter(who is now entering high school) does not want to stop attending. She has been allowed the opportunity to develop her artistic side in a wonderful environment. Can’t say enough good things and would recommend this art program to anyone who is lucky enough to find this gem! Elena and Valerie

We were referred to Studio Claremont by the mother of one of my son’s friends at his school. At first, we were a little skeptical, with each class being 1 ½ hours long, we weren’t sure that our 5-year old son would pay attention the whole time. But after that first class, he was hooked! He LOVES his art classes and looks forward to the following week. We are pleased with the art teachers, who are patient and attentive to the children. Also, I think the fees are reasonable, we have actually paid more for ½ hour classes at my son’s school, and their work was sub-par. Overall, Studio Claremont is the best!

We love Studio Claremont!!! It came highly recommended to us due to the calibre of teachers in the studio. We were so pleased to find everything we expected and more! My 6-year-old daughter has learned art techniques that have produced gorgeous work! We now have our own personal art gallery at home. The program is structured and fun– the perfect blend! ;)

Both my daughter and son have taken classes at Studio Claremont, and I have been impressed every step of the way. The quality of their work, and the immense enjoyment they received from their time in the studio, are the reasons why I would recommend this art studio to any parents looking for an art studio for their children. The classes are creative and structured, and the students are supplied with educational rationale for their projects. The teachers are friendly and patient, and they allow the students to express artistic freedom within the context of the project. We have taken multiple art classes through our city’s parks and rec department, and Studio Claremont is light years beyond! They are truly in a class of their own!

«Studio Claremont» in the packing house. I feel it is way overpriced, they often do the kids work for them,(all looks similar at times) extremely rigid, unfair policies in regards to emergencies that come up they do not allow kids to make up classes.:(We were there two years! Supporting them only to make my son leave the class after he already sat down to work, as we missed a Tuesday class and attempted to make up the class the next Saturday. Moreover, I often overheard the teachers speak in a condescending tone to my child.

This is the best place ever! If I had kids I would most definitely take them here! The store is really cool and has super unique items that I can’t find anywhere else. If your in the area its definitely worth a stop.

This is one of the coolest places I have ever visited. The front window displays are cool and creative and the staff works really well with the kids to create amazing projects, but don’t be fooled the kids create their own work. I am always amazed at the quality and diversity of artwork that comes out of this studio. I respectfully disagree with Albert but I think this studio is more than worth the time and money.

This place is a waste of time and money, I’m an art school grad and I decided to send my daughter to this school for art lessons. She was surrounded by much younger children working on elementary crafts projects, nothing more than a glorified baby sitting service… When I communicated my concerns to the owner, she assumed it was an issue with my daughter and offered«special» attention — in trying to be a gentlemen I told her the school was just not a good fit for us and requested a refund less the one class she attended. Despite the fact that their agreement does not stipulate any terms for cancelations, she argued with us and ultimately sent an email response, here are a few excerpts«we feel it best to cut our losses in this case and be done with you» and«Since we reserve the right you refuse service to anyone, consider yourself on that list. Please do not come to Studio Claremont, you are not welcome in our place of business.» — Don’t be fooled by the art they display, it’s «cookie-cutter» art instruction, notice how it’s all identical to each other… DONOTSENDYOURKIDSTOTHISSCHOOL!!!
