You come here for the homemade tortillas and the amazing burritos. All of the meats are good, but chile verde is the best. The quesadillas are huge and pretty bomb. The tacos have homemade crispy shells, and the papas one is a standout. The salsa is okay, but definitely not King Taco’s. Additional advice: order by phone at your own risk. Definitely stop by Patty’s for one of the Inland Empire’s best burritos!

I’m guessing this place is more nostalgic for Claremont H.S. Students and long time Claremonters. I lived in Claremont for 11 years and ate here a couple of times. Nothing special considering there are many great Mexican food places in the area and by Pomona. Food– had a basic bean and cheese burrito which was below average. Homemade tortillas were dry and cracking. Beans lacked flavor and there was a minimal amount of cheese. Tacos were good. Salsa is basically a runny tomato sauce with slight taste of pepper. Again, below average. The cheese quesadilla was good, but hoe can one if these get messed up. Very little seating inside, maybe 6 seats. There is always a line at lunch and your wait will be long, at least 15 minutes. Pricing is good though. Not bad but there are better places…

You know, I’ve had friends talking up Patty’s for years. Best burritos in Claremont, they said. I have to say, I was completely underwhelmed. Flavorless and dry tortillas and the beans and carne asada were underwhelming. The high point was the salsa, which is never what you want to be the best thing at a good hole in the wall Mexican joint(though of course always a plus). The horchata was also quite good, at least. Shame, it’s nearby home and I’ve always wanted a good place for burritos in Claremont, and I can go just about anywhere for some decent horchata.

food is amazing. love the tacos, chicken quesadilla, and burritos. The salsa they give you is a must. the only down side is it usually take a long time to complete your order so I always call in ahead.

What other have already said! It didn’t disappoint. I had the beef combo burrito. Tips: don’t bother calling they rarely pick up but it doesn’t hurt to try. CASHONLY, BofA ATM In staters shopping center next door on foothill, chase across the street.

My favorite dish here is the carnitas Nachos. I love that they offer 3 different sizes small med or large. Simple but full of flavor with smooth re fried beans, tender carnitas and delicious green sauce!

great burritos! The simple bean+cheese is the best by far. the burritos are huge and not really pricey so it’s one heck of a deal! If you haven’t been here, try it, you won’t regret it.

I ate the burrito before I could take picture but it was a far burrito with lots of meat not just bean n rice. They only take CASH I didn’t know she was nice enough to make my order while I went to get cash at stater bros. small place but good and friendly service. They make tortillas by hand you could see them doing it.

Wanted to check this place out after hearing all the hype, it’s ridiculously overrated. I got a carne asada burrito, I was excited when I saw them making their own tortillas, not too many places do that. When I got my burrito it was one of the driest things I’ve ever eaten, and there was beans in it. The salsa didn’t really help, it was pretty bland, no real taste or kick. Anyone who lives in Southern California shouldn’t settle for this place, we’re spoiled with so many good Mexican spots all around.

Found this place on Unilocal!Loved the homemade tortillas. Made fresh when we ordered our burritos. My son LOVED the bean and cheese burrito. We enjoyed the Carne Asada burrito. We will be back next time we are in the area. Customer service was awesome! Cash only.

This is place is «White Mexican» food and if you’re okay with that then it’s pretty good. I’ve been coming here since highschool so the nostalgia my play a roll but I would rate their food a 8⁄10 with the hot sauce 7⁄10 without. The customer service is good and they’re really friendly, the food takes a while but if you’re used to it you can call in a head or just wait. The prices are also very reasonable and you get a lot for what you pay. It’s may not be authentic mexican food but it’s still good nonetheless

This is a very busy place but well worth the wait. We came here based on word of mouth and we confirmed further with Unilocal reviews. The tortillas are all hand made and you can just tell that they care about their food. Our first visit included a shredded beef burrito with beans and cheese, a bean rice and cheese burrito, a chile relleno burrito and a couple of potato tacos. All were superb. The hot sauce is the bomb too.

People say this place is overrated. I’ll give it that, 100%. This place is overrated as hell. If they didn’t have delicious hot sauce I would probably lower this to a two star rating, to be honest. My boyfriend grew up in Claremont and we still frequent this place at least 3x a month when we visit. I’ve had a few items, but the quesadillas are my go-to. They make their tortillas fresh and you can tell in the taste. However, the cheese quesadilla is super greasy and I ALWAYS ask for cilantro and onions in it(tip: ask for cilantro and onions!). The hot sauce is super delicious and they know it. So they ask you how many hot sauces you want for three quesadillas… and you say six. They give you five. Another time they ask, I say eight. They give me seven. So I’m at the point where they are either asking you just for laughs or they really can’t count. Additionally, calling in makes absolutely no difference. You’ll go in and pay and they’ll start making it at that point. I’d give them 3.5 stars if I could, but I like Patty’s. Cash only sucks, too. But the best hole-in-the-wall places don’t usually accept card anyway.

This place is over rated. I’ll keep this simple. The burritos are terrific! Some of the best big sloppy burritos you can find. Breakdown: Burritos. Great! Cash only. Negative star! Very, very slow service. Negative star! Takeout only. Negative star! Bad customer service. Negative star! Come on Patty’s, get it together. Fast food should be fast and I should be able to pay for it. Wake up! It’s 2015.

The greatest hole in the wall! The tacos were just amazing… This little place in a small shopping center packs a huge punch in taste. The staff was very friendly and happy to answer any questions I had about the menu: Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty… The potato tacos were season perfectly and tasted outstanding. With just the perfect sauce that pairs perfect with the tacos. And just as I thought it couldn’t get better I tried their beef taco… Wow. Simple but just perfection in a beef taco. Leaving me wanting more. I am most definitely going to come back a lot. lol

Classic Claremont Colleges(off-campus) Cuisine. Everything on the menu is great, especially because of the homemade tortillas. This was my comfort food away from home. If you’re feeling adventurous, get the Chile Verde burrito(with beans rice & cheese). Spicy and good flavor. If you’re a vegeterian, get my go-to favorite: beans, rice, and cheese burrito. Simple and delicious.
