Here at the American Billiard Installers Association we provide high quality services. We go to and contact some random guy to come to your house then charge you $ 195 or how ever much Jeff Black feels like taking you for that day. The guy who came to my house said he only advertises on Craigslist and had never even heard of ABIA. It’s quite comical when you read Jeff’s reasons for founding ABIA: «I founded the American Billiard Installers Association to protect customers from the incredibly high percentage of cheap shady people in our business.» Need to have your pool table moved? Save a couple hundred dollars and just call someone off of craigslist yourself.

There are 2 outfits with the same name! These guys are a middle man to the real table movers. I contacted these guys first via their form on the web. Got a response for their web form 3 days later saying no one available. When I called them, it went to a call center where someone quoted me a price and asked for a non-refundable deposit of over half the amount. In my case they quoted a little over $ 500 and wanted a $ 270 deposit via credit card. They said we pay the rest to the movers. They couldn’t tell me who the actual movers will be or how to get in touch with them to confirm scheduling etc. It turns out they keep the entire deposit as their fee and the guys doing the real work only get what you pay directly. On the other hand once I found the local business with this name, the owner answered and quickly gave me the quote and scheduled it. They did an excellent job at ½ the price($ 270). Find them at . It’s «…movERS.com». NOT«…movING.com»! or call 503−995−8549. It’s a shame that I can’t post a review for the local guys I used because can’t have 2 businesses with the same name. Hopefully one of them will change their name and stop the confusion.
