Be careful of your diagnosis! Get a second opinion. Goodskin was not a good experience for me. They prescribed Steroids and gave me a false diagnosis. Turns out I had a severe Staph infection. I found this out by going to the ER after suffering several weeks of pain and the medication Goodskin prescribed had not helped. They should have known it was a serious infection and not Eczema. The antibiotics prescribed at the ER cured my infection. This was 1 yr ago and I have never had symptoms since. What was an easily treated yet dangerous and contagious infection was overlooked by Goodskin.

Quite possibly the only dermatology clinic in town that accepts same day appointments! And to top it off, this is an all around great clinic too. First off, this clinic is kind of tucked away in a large plaza with tons of other medical buildings, so if you enter from the wrong entrance it might take a few minutes to find. Parking is plenty though, so you’ll have no problem with that at least. Upon entering the clinic, the waiting room is a bit small, but has nice simple décor. The free coffee and Finding Nemo on TV makes the wait extremely quick and easy. The front staff is very courteous and friendly both in person and on the phone. They’re all also very pretty! After the initial greeting and flood of paperwork, I was escorted into one of their 5 exams rooms. And of note is that I was actually admitted on time! I thought it was a hard fact of life that Doctor’s offices always run late. Apparently not this one, which is great. Once in the room(which was your standard medical exam room) I was first met by the nurse, who took a brief history of my problem and then the Doctor came in a few moments after. At first glance, Dr. Aanderud looks young, but he definitely does not lack the knowledge or experience. He is very friendly, enthusiastic, and has great bedside manners. I had a great conversation with him about how he recently bought this practice from Dr. Goodkin and is currently upgrading everything to the newest technology. Then when it came down to business, he told me what I had and explained the treatment options and what probably sparked my problem. It was all coherent to me and made sense. He even drew pictures for me to understand further. Definitely one of the better docs I’ve visited in a while. The appointment lasted about 10 minutes and the whole experience felt quick, but not hurried, which is great since I was somewhat in a time crunch that day. Overall, this has to be one of my favorite clinics, too bad they only deal with skin problems. I also noticed some flyers while in the waiting room for aesthetic skin services like botox, skin resurfacing, and a free consult with the aesthetician, which I definitely will come back for. If I had to pick a con about this clinic, it would probably be the price, but it is a specialist service, so you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family, especially since you don’t have to wait 3 – 6 months just to get an appointment like other derm clinics.

I went and saw Dr. Aanderud at Goodskin Dermatology and had a positive visit. He was knowledgeable, took the time to explain my diagnosis, the various treatment options and his recommendations. He was transparent, on time for my schedule appointment, and professional. He had a good sense of humor which is also a plus in my book. I haven’t been to any other dermatologists before to compare them head to head, but I was satisfied with the help I got and would recommend this doctor to my friends in the area. He has just as good of a bed side manner as my family doc that I have been going to for ages. Pros: Friendly front desk staff, great doctor Appointments were easy to make, and I did not have to wait weeks to find an opening Nice lobby, they provided coffee and bottled water Cons: Office building was a bit hard to find, it’s in a plaza across from McMenamins Hard to know where to park, but best bet is to park in the back away from McMenamins and the other restaurants since it can get crowded over there. Neutral: Cost — I only needed to pay my copay since they took my insurance. The medicine was reasonably priced but irrelevant in this review since its through the pharmacy and BigPharm. They were able to send my prescription to the pharmacy electronically.

Should have updated this a while ago. Good on them for reaching out after new management took over. Best of luck.
