I really like this chain. I’ve now enjoyed their food, service, atmosphere, price, and more, in various locations. This one is located inside Speedway. Once inside the restaurant part, you can shut out the arcade and surrounding noises. They offer burgers, salads, sandwiches, many sides, and options. The place was clean and Danny did a great job with his customer service skills.

Slow service. Waited for our food for almost 30 mins and there were only 2 other parties in the restaurant. Asked for water 3 times didn’t get it till the end. They charged my card twice and the manager wouldn’t even speak to me but was telling her employees what to tell me. My boyfriend’s order was the philly cheese steak it looked so dry and didn’t even have onions. Waste of money and time. Don’t go here

Went back this past weekend and got a better understanding of why the service was slow the first time. Our poor server pulls double duty between serving at Johnny Rockets and manning the bar for Speedzone. She was pleasant and checked on us multiple times. It seems to me that Speedzone is understaffed and that is no fault of my server.

Extremely slow service. They even take a great deal of time to let people sit. Then after ordering just fries are can easily wait for 30 minutes. I think the only reason they are surviving is because they are in speed zone and rather have no competition.

Always the same experience. Waiter was nice at first and then it just went down hill. Brought our food didn’t ask if we needed anything else. While we were still eating our food she drops the check off. Like come on, we are still eating. What if we wanted dessert. RUDE.

Ugh. Was waiting for our party to come to play at Speed Zone so I decided to grab a snack. Ordered the chili cheese fries which was a HUGE mistake. The portion was much smaller than a regular Johnny Rockets. They also decided to add nacho cheese on top or my chili. It tasted horrible. Never again.

Met every one of my expectations. I understand that this is not a regular Johnny Rockets but the food came quick and it was good. The service was great with a very nice girl named Jackie waiting on us. The place was empty so I don’t know how it is when it’s busy. Shared some fries, onion rings, and tenders. Overall I’m happy with the experience and the convenience is an added bonus. Time to play some minigolf, excuse me.

Awful service. Really just bad. And I just ordered drinks! I brought the kiddos to Speed Zone and they wanted an Icee. I walked up to the counter and the hostess didn’t acknowledge me when I was standing right in front of her. When i finally asked her if she could take our drink order, she took our 2 Icee order and said she they would be right out. She looked confused and disoriented. After waiting almost 10 minutes, for icees, i walked straight to the kitchen and asked them if they could help me. The hostess had disappeared who knows where. he told me, «She didnt get them for you?», i said no and he apologized and gave me an extra Icee, which i thought was a nice gesture from him and I appreciate that. But, there were only about 2 parties eating there(it was dead really), one waitress, one hostess, and the only one that had it together was the young man in the kitchen. It looked like he had to pick up the slack for all the other workers. I will never eat here. They can’t even handle to go drinks!

I’ve never really had any bad experiences with a well-known burger joint. I mean… what could go wrong, right? Oh… so many things. At least the burgers were ok… but any other place would have been comparable. I think my number 1 complaint would be their management. Our server was fine… courteous and pleasant, except she didn’t have any answers over anything. Anything I asked outside of the menu, her response was always, «Let me ask my manager.» I mean, talk about micro-management! We went on a Wednesday night to celebrate my son’s 4-year old birthday, and there were only 4 tables including ours. She was the only one on staff, but because she doesn’t have much answers or authority, everything I asked, we had to wait for her to relay the questions to her manager, who was sitting in the Speed Zone area, away from the restaurant, and then scramble back to us with an answer. It would have been so much more efficient if the manager would just walk over and said hi and offered to be helpful to any other questions. My simple question was, can I store my ice cream cake in your freezer, and the manager’s answer was basically, «begrudgingly yes, but I’d really rather not.» I’ve never had a restaurant turn us down for such a simple request. Our poor server was just running around this wide area between the Speed Zone and restaurant, while there were a few other tables stilling waiting to be served. Then we had a candle for the cake, and after we lit it, the security came and yelled at my husband for lighting it. Are you serious? I understand that he may have thought that it was a firecracker because it’s a little bigger than a usual small candle, but really? It was just a candle that looks like a flower that’s no bigger than my petite fist with tiny flames on the petals that were no more than what a normal candle would have. In total there were 4 ity-bity flames for my son to blow out. Stating that it’s a fire hazard for 4 small candles is just plain ridiculous! If that’s the case, then they need to upgrade their smoke/fire alarms! My husband tried to explain that they were just candles in a calm, low voice, but he just continued to yelling, «SIR, I UNDERSTANDBUTYOUCANNOTLIGHTCANDLESHERE! ITIS A FIREHAZARD!!» So should I just believe that NO one celebrates birthdays there with candles? OR the security guard was just being a bully? I think the latter. My poor kid was scared of him. I didn’t want to make a scene to scare my son even more, but I really wanted to talk to upper management right away at that point. If you’re looking for a burger place, don’t go to this particular Johnny Rockets! POORMANAGEMENT. I’m only giving it 1 star for our poor server who has to suffer under such incompetent managers.

First off, you should know this place isn’t a legit Johnny Rockets. It’s a licensed store just like the Starbucks in Target. Even so, at least the Target Starbucks accepts gift cards! This place wouldn’t accept JR gift cards and their menu is different than regular Johnny Rockets. It’s important to note that if you’re going with a vegetarian, this location doesn’t have the veggie burger option that real Johnny Rocket’s have.

I love their Ghirardelli dark chocolate malt. The food at this location is better than other Johnny Rockets that I have visited in the past.

Ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich, upgraded fries to bacon cheese fries, and had a chocolate banana milkshake. Chicken was rubbery and reminded me of chewing on a sandal. Flavor of chicken was bland even though it was dunked in bbq sauce by the kitchen. The cheese on the fries was cheese sauce and is not how the Johnny Rockets in Orange County serves theirs. The shake was served in a plastic cup. Looking at the milkshake station, I could see several clean tins and glasses in which the shake should have been served in. This location is obviously sub-par to other locations. It is an insult to the legacy Johnny Rockets has built over the past 10 years it has been doing business in the area. I will NEVER come back or recommend eating here. Oh, the meal ended up costing $ 20! I could have went to a better place for that money. Somebody call Jon Taffer to rescue this place!

Poor customer service! Lack of attention to customers! There were waiters walking around and I had to go up and ask to order. I was offered chicken as a meatless option lol and the food that I ended up getting was made incorrectly. The food was mediocre. Waiters looked unhappy even when they were doing their dance. I ended up spending almost $ 20.00 for an adult and kids meal. I would never come here again.

Not what i remember! johnny Rockets used to be real fresh and tasty as for hamburgers go, i was very surprised to how much the quality has gone down! I know this location may just be a bit different from other ones because it’s kinda strange in where it is… Inside of the Speedzone complex in City of Industry. They used to be in the Puente Hills mall near the AMC theaters, where i remember the yummy fresh burgers and fries! But now those are gone and it seems they now serve cheaper quality food at higher prices. I also have enjoyed the Melrose location in Hollywood, but have not been here in years! Not sure if all locations have taken the same turn as this one but if they have, so long Johnny!

Yeah. the food tasted like freezer food. The fries weren’t crispy, the burger was super greasy, and I mean, the service was below zero. It wasn’t even crowded there(& its Friday night). I used to love Johnny Rockets. Back when they were an actual restaurant inside of the Puente Hills mall. — Now its more like a high school cafeteria. BTW, i asked for honey mustard & they brought back mustard for me. HAHAHA

The Johnny Rockets that was located in the Puente Hills mall was closed over a year ago, and finally they opened up another one inside Speedzone! It’s nice for those who are playing games at speedzone to not have to go elsewhere to dine. I wanted to come here since for your birthday they give you a buy one get one free coupon. Unfortunately, the manager said that they’re franchised and they don’t accept corporate coupons, even though the location was listed on the website when I had signed up for the e-club. He was nice about it though and still gave me 15% discount. This location is different from other JR’s because each table does not have their own mini jukebox, which is one of the reasons why I like going to JR. They do have one large Jukebox though and it is still $ 0.05! They also have a coke soda machine with over 100 flavors. You’re able to buy a to-go cup and use it, or you can try it out even if you’re dining in! The servers and managers are all really nice and the service is quick.
