Lobster Box Restaurant

Drove all the way City Island for seafood, but it was a disappointment at Lobster Box.
Our waiter had an attitude, but the manager with a bow tie was nice and cute.
I ordered the ribs with no bbq sauce (low carb haha) and it turned out like a big chunk of tuna. It looked like dog food. It didn’t taste good nor had any seasoning on it.
I also tried the steak and shrimp combo. The steak was ok. Cooked to medium rare, but the shrimp was definitely not fresh.
Service was slow, our waiter wasn’t the nicest, food wasn’t food. Meh.

GREAT TIME, with wonderful people. No matter if you are with new or old friends, the ambiance and fresh food brings everything together. We had a great time and our waiter was FANTASTIC!!!

This was my first experience at The Lobster Box. It was a rather warm fall after noon, and my relative and I decided to escape to city island to have a nice, and rather lavished lunch.
I know these places are very busy in the warm months, but this was a random time to come in, which is why it was empty, and I guess why they have such an excellent lunch deal. The quiet was super nice, and thus had pretty perfect service.
The place is way bigger than I thought. There was even a nice party room in the back looking over the water. What a nice view for lunch! For somewhere around $ 17 we ordered a fish lunch (i ordered crab stuff shrimp which came with potatoes and broccli) and my family member got the salmon. Both very nice portion sizes. The lunch came with a soup or salad (we got the lobster bisque, yummy) AND it also came with a slice of cake and coffee. I was impressed with the deal. We couldn’t even finish our meal because we were already full, so we took the cake to go. It was a really lovely place to visit on a sunny afternoon during the off season.
My relative loved her salmon, they gave two nice size pieces, and I really enjoyed my crab stuffed shrimp!
Hope to come here again for a beautiful lunch.

Low quality. Crabmeat stuffing without crab! Just a mess of breadcrumbs with a piece of crab thrown in here or there.

The snow crab legs are really good but it’s the coconut mojitos that make me want to go back!

Came here for a retirement party, good service and food. Good times. Closed the place with Jules the manager and Jack the bartender; made us feel like part of the family, would definitely come back again.

They have done it again ! This place never ceases to amaze me … I called one of the managers JULIUS; a week in advanced for my dads birthday & he was able to accommodate nine of us in one of their family rooms: very quite room with a very nice view, which I appreciate so much because my family is loud. The suggestions were right on point, the experience was amazing, our server was HONEST ABE and he was a delight, we got two hot platters for appetizer, garlic bread, two sangria pitchers, the family size seafood linguini and family size paella, the food was SUPERB! the attention and accommodations in my opinion was nothing short of spectacular, I can not thank lobster box (Julius & Abe) enough for the amazing service and for the complimentary birthday cake you guys extended to my family, we were all very pleased and will be back for more! — Kiara

This will be my third time visiting lobster box, and every time they never disappointed me. My server Honest Abe was fantastic, outstanding service ! I ordered the Snow crab legs special, OH MY GOODNESS it was delicious and flavorful. The free sangria with my dish was mouth watering. The staff is so friendly and nice, I had every staff member attending to me like as if I were royalty ! The customer service was appreciated and amazing. I will be going to lobster box regularly now …
