I have been trying to get a hold of customer service. The first time I called, I was on hold for 14 min. The second time I called, another 5 min. I tried to talk to the first person who answered the phone, but she hung up on me. Immediately, I called back and I felt as though I was bothering her. Needless to say, she did not offer any assistance; rather she put me on hold again. I tried to seek help by going onto Valley Vista website, but there were no customer service options there. If your company is so inundated with customer service questions/​complaints, why not have a service option available on the website. I don’t understand the rudeness especially coming from a company that prides itself on «Professionalism».
All I needed was a green waste cart replacement because ours was taken. No luck, today! ~Very disappointed customer.

Valley vista services sucks! They had annual clean up event today and their flyer clearly indicates they will pick up televisions. I came home and noticed all other trash was picked up except the television. I called and female said not to worry because separate trucks pick up different items and not to worry, it would be picked up. It’s 10:12pm and television is still on the curb! It’s too heavy for me to bring back inside. This is the second time Valley Vista services misleads me. We need Waste Management back. Today is Saturday so television will be out on the curb till Monday because they are closed on Sunday.

We are moving, so packed all our unwanted items into black garbage bags and placed them neatly at the curbside last night. We found out at 7am this morning that all bags are ripped broken or missing, and items are scattered on the ground. The garbage workers are extremely nice and took all the items away without any issue. What an excellent service from these 2 great guys. We really appreciate these 2 guys.

Their online payment never process since last year. Last quarter I have to spend more than half hour to call in for making the payment because they always had high call volumes. This quarter I hardly have peak hour to call them and they stop my service without any notice.
Horrible phone customer service. No matter what I say they will blame on me.
I think my big mistake is I have no choice to use them as trash company.
Plus their autopay system never set up since 2015. And they blame on my bank. But I didn’t use bank account. I did set up with my credit card which is use for most of my other auto payment with other company such as AT&T, Toyota, (and they never have problems)

I’ve been a customer of Valley Vista for over 4 years. Never missed a payment until now, but only because I never received the bill. I guess with their automated system, as soon as you don’t make a payment, they stop all services until you contact them. I did not know this, even being a loyal (i guess not loyal, but forced since they are the only trash service in Hacienda Heights), that they would warn me at first. But no, they just stopped service and my trash is full, and it smells like shit.
I contacted them and was on hold for about 15 minutes before someone helped me. Martha, who answered my call, was quite rude and definitely NOT the epitome of good customer service. I tried telling her my story, from above, but she could give two shits. I went ahead and gave her my credit card and let them charge it. As soon as she gave me the receipt number, she literally just said her spiel and hung up.

Valley Vista Services has the worst customer service and the driver missed pick up date. When I tried to explain to them that our trash didn’t get picked up. Their manager insisted that their driver picked up the truck and we REFILLED the trash bin. That’s something really rude to tell the customer. I would not remind if their driver made mistakes occasionally, but dishonesty is not acceptable. They don’t even care or value their customer. Stay away from this company.

They have horrible customer service. I never received a bill this quarter. I have already paid my bill and they won’t pick up my trash. They claim to not have any communication with drivers but other times I have called to request additional trash pickup they have told me they will call the driver and they show up. The driver hasn’t even been on my street yet but they still won’t pick up the trash. I wish the cities didn’t lock in our service. I had better service in west covina.

I called to cancel service only to be put on hold until Melanie came on. Told them I would be moving and wanted to cancel service. Melanie informed me that I would have to supply them with an escrow closing statement to prove we had sold our house. Just before she could terminate the phone call, I asked that we had an auto pay set up to pay each billing. At first, she said I could not cancel it, but upon my insistence that I had signed up voluntarily, that I should be able to stop the auto payment. She finally said okay. It seems on their website, you can do all you need to get their services, but once you want to cancel, you have to run the gauntlet of talking to their reps over the phone and get their attitudes. I don’t know what kind of deal the City of El Monte has with them, but it seems to me that they can get a better company to provide services with the «SERVICE» really meaning something. They should realize that they are the ones providing the public with services and not the other way around.

Wow what a shady company. And the city actually employ them. What a joke. They implied that at 5:30 am this morning, my gate ran into their truck. My gate was hella dented but they said hey we won’t pay because it ran into us and not their probably leftover drunken guy from Thanksgiving the night before. Police report has been filed and the police advise us to see through this all the way to the end. Valley vista said they will «look» into it. But if they don’t pay for this, further action will be pursued. it was your driver’s word versus my gate. And obviously my gate can’t talk so our 6 units will speak for our gate. I live here personally for 6 years and day in and out, no one has a problem with the gate. And it happened at 5:30 am and only to your driver? Riiight… Get your shiet together valley vista. And you too Salvador Lopez, who changed your story twice to suit the need of your company. Trust me, cameras will be installed so we can expose the recklessness of this company and let the city know exactly what kind of company they have employed. In their case, the customer is always wrong and who wants a business to literally treat their customers like trash?

Several horrible phone experiences with customer service. No matter what you say they will negate and infer you’re a liar.

I wish Unilocal had option for 0 star. 1 star coz i had to pick one. Worst service ever… Worst customer service… If ur day is going well, don’t call this company to ruin your day. Which company doesn’t send statements? Of course, the one and only Valley Vista. The funny thing is that, they don’t explain any details when u first sign up or start a service. Nothing! You literally have to figure out things as you go. Incompetent phone representatives… They don’t know what they are doing, don’t even know how to process payments even when you wanna pay. I just wish Hacienda heights had other service options. They don’t treat anyone nice because they know that they don’t have any competition. If only I didn’t need a trash service… Ugh! City should seriously consider another company for the trash services contract.

Terrible customer service. No accountability at all. Always implying the customer is at fault. Account was cleared and closed in June 2014 yet continued to receive overdue invoices with late penalties!!! How does one get late penalties on a zero out and closed account? Got the 4^th invoiced on April 2015, almost a year later… same issue!!! Can’t they get it together? The rep was insensitive, impatience and even implied English was a barrier when I wanted to make sure that this would be the last time I had to call.

Their bins are shoddy and made of cardboard. Ours have large holes in them and we can’t change them because they charge $$ hundreds per container. We need a better trash service in Hacienda Heights. Bring back WM!

If I can, I want to give negative 5 stars. First, the driver is irresponsible. We live on a main busy street, and there are parkers always move my trash container to the walk way, and the driver never takes the trash that is not on the street. Therefore, bad driver. Second, the customer service lied to me. My trash container was destroyed after the driver picked up the trash one day. I believed that they are a good company, so I just simplily remind them to replace my container. The girl said they will come after picking up my trash. What a lie! The New container never come. Also the next week, they did not pick up my trash. The worst company I have every encounter.

Inconsistent service, horrible customer service and lack of accountability.
I write this Unilocal review after years of bad service with not even a hint of change for the better treatment of their customers. They cannot say that I did not give them a chance.
Valley Vista Inc. has on many occasion not picked up our trash and when we have called and advised them that they missed our container and ask for them to schedule a pick up, the «customer service representatives» replies by accusing us of either overfilling the container or lists a number of other reasons why it was not picked up. No, the container was not overfilled, yes it was outside on the street as it always is every Monday hours before the truck came by. The rep continues to try to prove that it was not their oversight but somehow our fault. Really? How about, «I am sorry for the confusion, Ms. Customer, I will be happy to schedule the earliest pick up which would be… We appreciate your business and will forward this on to ensure that this doesn’t reoccur…». How about you take a class in customer service and learn how to treat your customers? This goes for the reception area as well. When you walk in to make a payment or inquiry you are met with a bad attitude, rolling of the eyes and asking a question is like pulling teeth! If you do not want to answer a customer’s question then why do you work there?

Very confusing service, for first time users.
There’s no written directions. Like «drive your truck on to the scale, get out of your truck and approach the window and speak to person inside the building» the entry service receptionist is not very friendly, if you can see her trough the glass mirror window. There’s a window that I assumed it would open while I was in my truck on the scale, I tried to communicate with person inside but, guess what? I cannot see inside. Once inside yard more confusion there are faded painted lines on the pavement to guide vehicles. But, be careful I almost got ran over by a three story tall dozer or whatever it was. Prices are fair!

Less than one, company came into our yard and stole green trash container, when contacted company I was told picked up by company by mistake green container will be delivered next day. 3days later no free container, now Anita receptionist states I will have to wait till service person sees all green containers on street to count, discounting all my information. Wait till counted, then will decide if I get green container. This obviously how some countries do trash service, not trusting consumer, I need to follow their misguided way of returning what was stolen from your private yard, by mistake. Unresolved issue, would not allow me to speak to manager, stating that’s not how it’s done here. Who is paying for this monopoly trash service company?
