Avis Rent A Car

This Avis is like no other !!! I recently had to rent a vehicle on 2 separate occasions. I normally don’t go as far as Industry for anything but this was the only Avis that was open at the time (6pm). I called the number and spoke to ROBERT. Robert said he would wait a few minutes for me if I was already on my way. I got there and Robert’s Old School customer service (Customer comes first) style was impressive to say the least. Robert told me about discounts that I had no idea were available. Not only did he save me money, which he didn’t have to do, but he made pickup and delivery incredibly easy. Most businesses the employees are trying to walk out the door 5minutes BEFORE closing and if they do let you in you will no doubt catch additude.
I did not fully appreciate the experience with Robert until my second rental. After experiencing a traffic accident in my personal car in the valley, I had to rent a car that day. Thinking the customer service I had received from Robert was just the way Avis operated, I went an Avis in the city of Tarzana. The clerk was rude from the start, absolutely no personality and he gave the impression he could really care less about customer service. The car he gave me was dirty and had thick tape residue on all four doors. I asked the clerk about having it cleaned off and he said «No, it won’t come off, take it or leave it I don’t have any more cars at that price, just SUV’s at a higher rate». One of his coworkers felt so bad, she personally found some degreaser and removed the tape debris for me.
Avis of Industry is #1 for me THANKS ROBERT!!!

I recently went here to rent a car after a traffic accident. I went online to
and selected the car that I wanted and reserved it at the Avis on Industry Hills Pkwy.
When I arrived, it was very politely pointed out to me that the reservation I made was for the following day and that it would be difficult to get me the American made SUV that I wanted. THEN, when they finally move heaven and earth around, I tell them, great, I need to bill this to my insurance. It turns out, I was that nightmare customer who wanted a specific vehicle, had the wrong reservation, then wanted them to bill someone else.
They made all of that happen! Only to find out my insurance company didn’t cover Avis!

Love Robert and Joey they are the nicest people ever and very HONEST i highly recommend this avis at pacific palms. The store is hidden but customer service is great!

This Avis was excellent. The two gentlemen who work there are amazing Robert and Joey, especially Robert he was beyond helpful. I needed a 7 seater in a short notice and he made it happen. I highly recommend renting a car from here, it’s fast easy and they work with you. I ended up renting a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country. It was very clean and a easy ride. Although I was hesitating to rent a car from this location again, I’m glad I gave it a second try. Last year I left very unhappy after my rental. However, this year they are under new management and the experience was great! Huge difference! Robert was polite and friendly! Joey the supervisor is Very courteous and professional ! Its require to check your credit and use a major credit cards but it’s just part of the deal! One thing tho Don’t reserve online! Call and find out what cars they have available! They keep their cars nice and clean! I had a great experience this last time! I very happy and satisfied;) I’m definitely staying with Avis for my rentals!

Last week Robert helped me set up a very convenient car rental with the Avis at the Pacific Palms. He was very patient and friendly and willing to help me with some additional travel logistics. I really appreciated his patients and willingness to find out the answers to all my questions. Robert got me set up with exactly what I wanted with a wonderful attitude the whole time. Thanks Robert!

We rented a car to drive for our trip to Utah. When we arrived to pock it up, Robert asked us if we would like to upgrade to a larger vehicle at no charge since they were short on the requested car. He was very friendly and took care of us quickly. We will definitely use this location again.

Totally rip off. Don’t rent the car there. Take 25 mins to get the car, ask me to pay cash to him so he can adjust a discount for my 5 mins late on return the car. He never count the time i’m waiting for the car. He wants the cash for his pocket and not report to the company. Be aware 5 mins late he will start charging you by hourly which is about $ 20 per hour. Be aware this business! Or report to the headquarter if you have similar experience.

I rented a minivan for a road trip through Costco. The vehicle itself was good and there were no issues. However, I have a serious issue with this particular branch office. It’s located in the Pacific Palms Resort, a nice place, but I can’t say the same for the office here. The guy who works here is very unprofessional… as far as appearance goes. His shoelaces were untied, not to mention that they and his shirt was 25% tucked in with his undershirt sticking out everywhere. It looked like he either just woke up or he just came out of the bathroom and had no time to fix himself up. When I was returning my vehicle, he repeatedly asked me what vehicle I had. I told him three times within ten minutes.
Customer service is terrible here.
The Enterprise, about 10 minutes away, is way more professional and friendly.

Was suppose to have gotten a discounted quote and was more expensive then a regular local Enterprise quote I received, not good always shop around.

This place is under new management so that Karina girl is gone. The new owner is… gosh I’m so bad with names. I think it’s Daniel. He said he took over the business in February of this year. So as you can expect, he is pretty friendly. He was nice enough to pick me up (I was only 3.5 miles away), even though he was the only one working. I declined a vehicle protection so he gave me a discount on my rental car so that he could include the insurance without additional charge. So everything started out on a good note.
Up until I received the car. It was dirty (the outside was shiny but it’s the opposite inside). There’s sticky spots and liquid spills in the front — on the mid console/​arm rest, dashboard and steering wheel. And there’s all kinds of fur in the back with dirty black gloves in the back seat. I was in a rush and this was apparently the only small car available so I didn’t make a big deal out of it. I just disinfected my ‘driving area’ prior to the long drive because it was pretty gross.
The worse part was the next day when I returned the car. There was a different staff (I didn’t bother getting his name). He was rude and unprofessional. He refused to drop me off so I had to load my bike in the car when I returned it and was forced to ride in scorching heat. It was NOT a busy day. He didn’t have any customers and was even chitchating with the hotel staff before he drove off the car. He also was very condescending during the whole time, as if he was talking to some uneducated person who didn’t speak any English. I told him, «This business is pretty new according to your owner. You should be a little more professional and friendlier so you won’t lose any customers.» And he just looked at me. No apologies offered or anything.
I travel for work/​leisure and was planning on renting here again as I had a good experience with the owner. I have plans to rent this weekend, the last weekend of July, the whole first week of August and a LOT more travel plans. but I’ll be taking my business somewhere else.

I made a reservation for pick up at Pacific Palms Hotel location in City of Industry CA. The reservation had been made 1 week in advance. As I walked up to the representatives desk, she did not greet me but immediately asked if I was going to rent a small car because all she had were SUV’s. I responded to her that I had made a reservation for a small car. She did not offer any apologies or offered help in any way but simply stated all she had were SUV’s. I was very disappointed in the customer service I received by the AVIS representative. I expected my reservation to be honored. I do not believe AVIS should have the option to make reservations online if the company will not honor them. By the time I found out there was no availability, other AVIS locations and other rental companies had closed for the day, leaving me with no options whatsoever thus my family trip was ruined. I am a very disappointed customer with AVIS location.

Please do not ever rent from this location!!! Especially do not work or deal with Karina. She is a lying sack of s**t. They will rip you off, and overcharge your credit card. They will never call you back. Example: I called, looking for Karina, and I know that she picked up, she puts me on hold, and when she returns, someone else, says she is not available.
I have never dealt with a shady business like this ever! All the reviews about this chick Karina are correct!
I would recommend calling customer service yourself! They made the adjustment in 15 minutes!

I’m not one to bash on business but this was some shady stuff that happened.
Returned car from 3-​day rental at 8:25am to Karina, the worker there. The rental was due at 9:00am. She sends me my receipt via e-​mail, with the return time at 9:59am, 59 minutes after my rental was due, resulting in an almost $ 30 extra charge. Had to call Avis corporate to get the charge reversed.
Best part about all of this? I had the gas receipt on hand with a 8:19am gas fill-​up roughly 2 miles away from the rental place and she tried to pull this stunt.
DO NOT RENT FROM HERE UNLESS YOU WANT KARINA PULLING SOME SHADY STUNT LIKE THIS.

When renting a car for 4 days, we were one of the first ones there when they opened on a Friday morning. We were automatically given a sluggish HALF-​CLEANED sedan. When I mean half-​cleaned, I mean there was some buttery substance on the window that I had to go home and clean myself with Goo-​gone. On top of that, the interior door panels had what looked like juice stains. I wiped them off myself, took no more than 30 seconds.
That’s not the biggest ballbuster. The amount charged on my card was almost $ 45 more than what I was quoted. When I rented the car, I left only what was needed to pay for the car rental in my debit account, so as you can conclude my account was overdrafted and consequently I was charged a decent bank fee. After calling to voice my concern, the lady on the phone said she could do nothing about the bank fees but I would receive a discount on my next rental (which will be never since I’m returning to Enterprise).
I don’t know how other Avis locations are, but this one is passable, no doubt. Even though Enterprise charges A TEENY BIT more, it’s worth the professionalism. I’d rather pay another $ 10 to have a choice of which car and not be overcharged when I return the car, in addition to being treated like a person and not just like a sale.
+1 star for being in a snazzy hotel.

Karina is awesome. gets you in and out… and doesnt talk. alot .and gets you going. cuz who wants to wait for a car rental.
