Have stopped by many times. Service is always good, food comes out quickly and is very tasty.

Slow service. Eh food. Nice outdoor seating but that’s the only good part. Had the chicken tasted precooked it was dry and the tzadiki was bland. Would not recommend but might try something else on a nice day outside.

Used to love going here for Saturday lunches but as the reviewer before me said; there are better places to go. The foods OK, the service is incredibly bad. We waited at least 5 minutes while I watched our millennial waitress sip on her coke and stare at the wall. She finally came over and took our orders. After the food was delivered, not once did she ask us for refills or give us our check. Our sandwiches came with chips, but the chips we got were so ground and broken up that they were inedible. We finally went to the counter and told the checkout person what we ordered and paid the bill. Neither the cook our waiters/waitresses looked like they wanted to be there. Used to be a nice place to go, not sure if management changed or what. Montgomery needs to up their game and get a better tenant in such a prominent downtown slot.

Went there for breakfast with a friend. I ordered a veggie omelette and my friend a gyro omelette. Both omelettes ended up with ham. The gyro omelette had a big piece of ham, we showed it to the waitress and she had another prepared. The veggie had a few small pieces. Waitress was notified but i decided i didnt want another one. Place has poor quality control. When paying the bill, my friend decided to mention it to the manager. The manager responds that shes been working here for about 20 years and this has never happened and started doing other things. Manager did not handle the situation properly, no sign of apology. We will not be returning due to poor quality control and poor customer service.

Been going here for years but never again. As other reviewers have said, they’ve gone downhill over the past couple years. Despite that I tried going there the other night because I wanted a gyro. I checked their website and it said they were open till 7PM. I got there at 5:45 and they were closed. The hours posted on the door showed 7PM. This is the second time this has happened to me and it was a 40 min. round trip drive for nothing. They don’t take their business seriously; how do they expect anyone else to. Done with them.

Great tasting Gyro, with good tomatoes and crisp lettuce. Waitress was friendly and efficient.

I decided to try a super gyro. This café states that the gyro is famous and is what they’re known for. I guess that I am somewhat of a gyro snob. Although the prices are very reasonable for being downtown montgomery, the gyro was rather disappointing. The meat, although plentiful being that I ordered a Super gyro, was dry and not seasoned well. Also the homemade cucumber sauce was rather lackluster and thick in texture(secret in that its simply sour cream and diced cucumber) The pita also cracked and fell apart, indicating it was not hot pressed before serving and the tomatoes were mushy. All lunch orders come with generic ruffle style chips which i recommend skipping. Definitely not the best gyro in Cincinnati as claimed. I can think of at least two places, including Blue ash, that have far superior gyros. I would come back to try other options. They do have some outdoor seating and a pretty nice atmosphere. They also have breakfast and ice cream. And heck prices are reasonable. My recommendations to this place are to focus your menu on something great rather than doing everything and trying to please everyone. There definitely quite a few items on the menu that are hardly European.

Wonderful little local spot — prices are great, food is cooked to order. Located in heart of Montgomery, I enjoy sitting outside on a nice day and watching people go by. My favorite menu item is the pita pizza appetizer — grilled bread with veggies(can add gyro meat), cheese and cucumber sauce!

The Good: Nice variety of menu choices, plenty of parking. The Bad: Slow service, Food preparation. My wife and I have been coming the the European Café for years mostly for breakfast. The Café has a wide variety of breakfast items that include omelets, pancakes, waffles, and fruit cups. The lunch menu also has a nice variety of salads, sandwiches, and of course gyros. We used to consider ourselves regulars but the time between our visits has gotten longer due to the decline in the service and food. We recently went on a Saturday where we were only one of three tables in the mid-morning. The waitress took our drink and food order quickly and had the food out soon after. But the food came out undercooked. The goetta was undercooked and the english muffin didn’t seem toasted at all. I wanted to let the waitress know about it but it took awhile before she came back around. During that time we witnessed two other tables walk up to counter and said something about the food. I’m not sure if it is a change in management or employees but I don’t think we will be coming back. Hopefully things turn around since this place was one of our favorites.

First time at the café. Ordered the falafel platter. And side fruit. Falafel was very dry, hummus was soured and the fruit looked like it was cut 3 days ago. Would not recommend these items. Prices are good but quality is bad. Get what u pay for

Gyro was 5.75…price went up to 6.95…yes prices go up but that is quite a spike since nothing was added to justify that much of an increase… shame i won’t be back often

I was in the area, and I was looking for a quick coffee and a snack that would be local, a new experience, and better than Starbucks. First let me preface this by saying I’m really not a fan of Starbucks so the bar is not that high. I think I expected something more from the main strip in Montgomery. I should have observed the 3 star Unilocal rating. The place looks clean and the staff was friendly. They certainly have a larger food menu than your typical coffee place. For $ 5.75, I picked up a double cappuccino and a cinnamon roll. That puts it price-wise up there with Starbucks and nicer places. Unfortunately, what I got was a flavorless watery latte. Think 3 p.m. office coffee. The cinnamon roll was equally mediocre, however they did heat it up for me which was nice. And I had to scrape off about a weeks worth of sugar from the top, but to be fair, I could see that when I ordered it. All in all, it was not worth the money and I wouldn’t go back

I have been coming to the European Café for several years and have always loved the food. Today, I ordered a carryout Greek salad. Half of the lettuce was wilted, brown, and slimy. There is no way someone didn’t notice half of the lettuce they used was rotting. The pita was so overly toasted it was like a rock. I will not be back — not worth getting sick over.

I came here for quick take out and really enjoyed it. The service was fast and my food was ready to go quickly. My gyro had tons of thick cuts of meat and tomato. It was a lot of food for the price and would definitely go back.

Growing up I spent many Saturday mornings ordering the breakfast special with my father, Always leaving satisfied. One thing we never tried was their lunch menu. I was in town this past weekend and decided I needed to try it. We both ordered gyros, I ordered the mix between lamb and chicken. It was delicious. Very hot, great flavor. Also the fries were cooked perfectly. I like my fries a little crispy and they were spot on. Also our server was very nice and gave us good advice on the menu.

Been going here for a number of years for the gyros. The last couple of times it is evident the place is going downhill. Ordered the super size gyro. Took over 25mins and I was the only order on the table. Meat was hacked into chunks vs. thin Strips, pita bread was stale, coffee tasted like it had been stewing for hours and was barely warm. Couldn’t even get the side order of fries correct. Overall an experience to forget. From now on I will have to look elsewhere for a decent gyro. I will not be back.

Unique menu something for everyone, and if you like lamb and spice this place is nice. But even if you don’t like Greek food, you can get all the classic dinner foods for every meal as well as solid salads and coffee drinks. Unique meeting spot that is is much better than a fast food environment but a fraction of the cost of the upscale places down the street. My entire family enjoys whatever they order here.

Nice café. The menu has a good variety with several unique options. I was very pleased with the grilled chicken pita. There was only one waitress working when I was there, but she was doing the best she could. They have a big breakfast menu and a nice cream stand that I am yet to experience. I plan on going back for more.

My 6 year old and I ate lunch here over her Spring Break. I think it is a cute place in a nice location in downtown Montgomery. I had the gyro and she had the kid’s grilled cheese. They were both good, but not great. While I would not rush back as there are so many lunch options out there I would not hesitate to eat here again. One thing I should have done is skip fries with my gyro because they were $ 2 extra. The kid’s grilled cheese had plenty of fries for us to share.

Food was marginal. Well staffed. Hot tea selection was mainly Lipton which was disappointing. The floors were dirty and the bathrooms were worse than the gas station. For all the staff present maybe one of them could be trained to use a mop and bucket. The employees stayed by the back door smoking cigs and the smoke blew back in on us. The hummus was weird and possibly going bad as it had an electric feel that made your mouth tingle. I would NEVER go back.
