My wife and I really enjoyed the Clifton House. The décor is beautiful, tasteful and very clean. The rooms were comfortable and very quiet, with having it’s own theme. We stayed in the New Orleans room. Books abound the entire bed and breakfast, so if you are a reader you will plenty of material to satisfy your appetite. They are known for their breakfast, but this time around their chef had a family emergency. Nancy, our host, sprung into action and whipped us up some delicious waffles, fruit, bacon, excellent coffee and blueberry muffins. The neighborhood is also very safe and the residents there are extremely welcoming. My wife and I popped into the Ludlow Wine shop and the locals welcomed us as visitors to their community and even invited us to dine with them at a local restaurant. We were regaled with stories of the neighborhood, their events and overall love of the Clifton Gaslight district. Our time at the Clifton House was too short and hopefully we be back soon.

Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The house is big so no one trips over each other. Breakfast prepared by chef each morning is gourmet.(The scones are awesome.) Nancy, our hostess, is a local, is fun and knowledgeable. Great time!

My husband and I LOVE this place! Prior to staying in this place, my husband never wanted to stay in a B&B. But the Clifton House has changed his mind completely. The hostess is warm and friendly but also leaves us alone. The décor is classy with grand antique furnitures but without frilly curtains or pink stuff. The House is so large, you’ll never feel like you are in a divided house. Each room has its own clean, bright bathroom with those beautiful white subway tiles. And the VALUE of the place is unparalleled. For the same or lower price you’ll pay at some of the downtown hotels(Westin, Cincinnatian), you get free parking($ 25 for downtown hotels plus tip); you also get complimentary wine and brownies in the afternoon; free wifi; and there is even free sodas! When’s the last time you got all of these for free at a hotel? And there is the gourmet breakfast! It is served in the beautiful dining room with real silver and china. It really makes us feel special each time we stay there.

This is a great, great B and B, the best choice in Clifton for sure. The woman who owns the place is very personable but lets you alone, the place is huge so you don’t feel like you are living in someone’s house, the décor, the rooms, the amenities are all beautiful. The breakfast feels like a 5star resort. It’s really a lovely place that I send all my visiting friends and family to. Only caveat, the breakfast is served rather early on weekends(I think 9 is the latest), so no sleeping in and having a lazy, late breakfast.

Located near the university of cincinnati, it was 160/night for one of the rooms. I stayed in the room with the jacuzzi and it was a very refreshing treat although it was a little loud. The bathroom had plenty of clean towels and there were dimmers too. The décor is definitely very colonial/old fashioned but very warm and inviting. The room was also clean and had access to wifi. The TV was a small 13″ that I didn’t use. There is only parking for 3 cars in the house, but there is ample parking on the street. The host was very pleasant and accomodating and left her cell phone # with me in case I needed anything. Room was 3.5 stars. Also, there was soda and coffee and tea available complimentary to guests. The breakfast portion of the B&B was very pleasant. It started off with a well put together fruit cup. Then we had a plate of an overeasy egg cooked perfectly, english muffin, sausage and a gratin made of root vegetables and cheese. It was prepared by someone who was either a student or grad of the local culinary school and tasted very good. I really enjoyed the breakfast and would rate it 4.5 stars.
