If you’re missing your college bars, this is your place. On prime nights, it’s usually overcrowded and understaffed. The drinks are pretty basic, but cheap.

I have only had the wings, but they are great. If you liked smoked wings, this is the place for you. They also provide a nice variety of sauces table side, so you have the option to sample them all.

First time there. We got some wings and a burger. The service and wings were awesome with variety of sauces, teriyaki was my favorite. The burger was more a slider. Very small and flat. Like out of a Wendy’s commercial «where’s the beef» Said handmade on the menu so thought give a try for 8.95. What a disappointment, more bun than burger.

Small and REALLY LOUD, but a slightly above average bar. Great local vibe with a good selection for drinks and good food. I got The Oak Burger and Sweet Potato Fries. I’d order it again for sure. Very tasty.

I LoVe it in here! Everyone is really really friendly, staff and patrons alike. I’ve gone here by myself to just grab a bite and a beer and also with my bf to watch football and have a drink.
College game days here are really fun, it’s packed so get there early! There is a lot of great bar banter and fun people.
They have lots of good beers on tap and will also make you a mimosa which is nice. The food is pretty good, I would say it’s a little above average for a bar. The smoked chicken wings are a specialty here. I had never had smoked wings before and I’m not a huge fan, I think I just really like gooey sauce covered meat products. My bf on the other hand (and a random new friend I made) think they are to die for. So, if you like smoked wings you will probably like these a lot. If you’ve never had them, give them a try!
Definitely check this place out if you are in Oakley and needing a place to grab a drink and be around cool people!

There are so many things to love about the oak– wings, Carolina sauce, Mac and cheese bites, mimosas, relaxing bar atmosphere… It’s laid back. What I don’t love is the lack of service, the last few times I’ve been there it has taken forever to be waited on and to get drinks. Still doesn’t stop me from going back for my favorite bar food!

Don’t let my review fool you — these are the best wings in the city. They come smoked, taste super fresh, and have a variety of sauces that come in a caddy, so you can try multiple. Personally the smoked taste of the wings and some ranch is usually all I need to have a great lunch. Their beer list is fantastic most days, and it’s right in the heart of Oakley, surrounded by a couple of really cool bars and hot spots.
However, they lose a star for service and attitude. Every time I’ve been, which is probably upwards of ten times in the last year, I get the weird feeling that everyone on staff wishes I’d just go home. I generally keep to myself if I’m there alone, or if I bring friends we’re pretty respectable and keep to ourselves. But it’s almost as if actually giving good service is the last thing these people want to do. There are definitely exceptions, and some of the wait staff have been very kind and awesome, but the overall vibe is something I can’t seem to shake.
If you’re looking for the best wings in Cincinnati, look no further. Just don’t expect five star service from the staff.

So when we walked in I wasn’t thrilled with the atmosphere. The music was very very loud and it could have been cleaner/​fixed up more but all of those thoughts went away when I tried the smoked chicken wings. Smoked chicken wings. Out of sight! Worth a visit!

Best wings I’ve ever had. The other items on their menu looked pretty good but if you are going here for the first time and like wings then get the wings! Also always a good draft selection and they mix it up which is awesome!

My first time at the oak was on a Friday night so we were hanging out drinking and it took 40 minutes to get my order of 5 wings, but it wasn’t that big of a deal and the food is absolutely delicious!

Definitely a sports bar with a good beer selection. They get busy on big game nights but it’s a fun atmosphere to watch games. There are plenty if tv’s and a great patio that’s dog friendly.

Okay, how did it take me three years to discover that the best wings in Cincinnati are definitely here at Oak Tavern?! Seriously. THE. BEST. Let’s just get this all out in the open. I’m a wing fanatic. I may be obsessed. I may have problems that require therapy. BUT that means I have years of experience. That you get to benefit from!
The wings are so tender and meaty; they’re injected with love and magic. In fact, you don’t even need to smother the wing in sauce, because these wings can stand their own ground with the rub they come with. But if we’re talking sauces, there are several to choose from and you can mix and match at the table. And the spicy is deliciously spicy. Life is good with all the freedom you get at Oak Tavern.
Also, they have some great craft beers on tap that seem to rotate pretty often.
You’ll be seeing me more often, when that craving for wings hits again!

Oak Tavern is a good local bar. It was a beautiful, sunny day last Saturday, so I decided to stop here with my date for lunch. We sat outside on the patio, which is really nice and sunny (but it also has shaded areas) and good for people watching along Oakley Square.
We were confused because there were no waitresses outside, but then the bartender eventually came over to take our order. I got the smoked wings, and my fiancé ordered the blue cheese burger.
Then there was 45 minutes of literally no service, just waiting for our food… It was beautiful out, but our beers ran dry, and I was starting to get concerned that they just forgot about us. Finally, someone came by and we asked about our food, and then 5 minutes later it showed up. Not sure what happened there, but the service was kind of non-​existent.
The wings definitely lived up to the hype! They are not buffalo wings by any means, so please don’t come here expecting B-​Dubs. If you think of them as just smoked BBQ chicken, they’re really amazing. I also really liked that they come with sauces that you can choose from… I particularly liked the Carolina BBQ sauce, which is a mustard based sauce (not ketchup), so it’s less sweet than normal.
The crinkle french fries were hot and fresh, but they kind of just tasted like frozen Ore-​Ida french fries. Nothing special. The burger was ok, but the meat was VERY pepper-y…All I could taste was black pepper.
Overall, the wings were very good and the patio was nice. But the service wasn’t very good (they did give us our beers for free because our food took way too long, so that’s a plus), and the rest of the menu was kind of boring. Also, the clientele is kind of bro-​y, so if that’s what you’re into that might be a good thing. For me, not so much. I’ll be back though for the wings, the beer, and the outdoor patio.

Best wings in cincinnati if you like smoked meats. Teriyaki garlic sauce is great too. Surprising the deep fried pickles were a good appetizer. The music… very loud… Beer buckets are 5 for $ 12. The patio is nice during warm weather. And its a typical BUCKEYE bar! GO bucks!

The oak is your typical bar. They have great grilled wings! What’s awesome is that you get a sauce caddy with 8 different types of sauces; giving you the the option to sauce your wings to your liking!
They have good sweet potato fries and my friends like their Bloody Mary.
DONT GET THE MAC & CHEESE BITES! $ 8 for 8 bitty mac & cheese filled tots! And they’re okay at best! RIP OFF!!!

Smoked wings inn Oakley…
These are the best wings in the city. They have great sauces they give you on the side, but you end up not even really wanting to use them.

Oh fun. I dig this place because it’s a large space and has a really nice outdoor area.
The crowd is energetic and eclectic.
I went on a night they had a dj and it was a big party… everyone was having a good time.
Nothing fancy at all — come with your party pants on and good friends.

A friend from the area told me that The Oak had the best wings in the Cincinnati area. Being a wing foodie [I mean I’m from the city that founded the Wing Bowl], I had to try them out. The wings were delicious, they have a good selection of grilled and smoked wings from the classic mild and BBQ to the more spicy.
Just a note about The Oak, it’s a total dive and it’s advertised as such. There’s TVs to watch sports, but the place can get pretty crowded and the service can suffer as a result. Overall though, the food is good and they have a good selection of beers to choose from.
